But the best part for me is the customer service. The owner and cook always treat me like family, come out to talk, and make the experience personal every single time. My wife got her pick me up with an iced chai latte. I got a delicious snore cookie for a sugar high. We found the service quick. The store had a great ambiance with tons of fun small presents. The tea towels, coasters, books, and other smalls Knick knacks give the store a fun vibe. Some of the furniture is cool albeit a bit pricey. This is a nice stop for some caffeine and a short rest. Well I finally caught them open on a Friday before 4pm because I was able to leave town early. I ended up chatting with the owner and he's a super nice guy. He's been running the place for almost 7 years and the hours are based on him running the place on his own. If you catch them closed one day, he may have just needed a day off because they are open 7 days a week. I wanted something cold and asked about the iced cafe which he told me had a shot of espresso and that the ice cubes were made of kona coffee so there was no watering down the drink. I was sold. While he put it together I snagged some chocolate chip cookies which were the perfect car snack and some espresso candies that I remember from back in the day. Plus my coffee was great too. I hope that I can connect with them whenever I'm driving that route and will definitely be more inclined to stop if I see them open.
