Came here on a Tuesday with a reservation. You can reserve online for an hour for $17 which includes a non-alcoholic drink. You can buy alcoholic drinks there. You can also walk in and get a 30 minute session for $12 if space is available, drink not included. There were only 4 cats there since some had been adopted, but they can hold up to 17. The cats are of varying degrees of friendliness, but some are very playful. Great concept and cause.

I have not owned a cat in a long time. I miss having one, but I don't miss the fur it would leave behind. That was the main reason for coming in. You pay for either 30 minutes or a full hour. Thirty minutes and a drink from the bar (which is a large, cat-free room) that you can bring into the main room were all I needed. The place is super clean. (Not counting the cat toys all over), and there isn't a hint of smell anywhere. Most of the furry friends were completely passed out when I was there, but even with that, it was still enjoyable. Part of the fun was just finding where they were hiding while catching a snooze. They have packaged snacks in the barroom, but I'm not sure why you would come here hungry. The surprise was asking about the cats' stay here. At least for the ones in front of me at the time, they were only here a week, and most of them are in the process of being adopted. Meaning this place seems to be super successful as a midway point for finding new homes for them as they are taken out of shelters. To me, that was worth the price of admission in itself.

Such a cute little spot! I love that they work with the local shelter to help get the cats adopted. They have a 30 min option and an option for 1 hr that comes with a drink, while the drink is only like tea and lemonade, nothing fancy, they do have alcoholic options for an additional charge. The cats are adorable and have their own little personalities.

I'm a little belated posting my review of Pounce Cat Cafe, as I visited on my birthday in late May. I hope by now that all the kitties who were present at that time have found homes. They were all so deserving! I love that they average 1-2 adoptions daily. I am a huge cat lady and was on vacation in Charleston, so Pounce popped onto my radar right off the bat. My friend and I booked a reservation to visit in the afternoon after lunch and spent an hour with the cats plus received drinks as part of our purchase. We both chose the rose. The cats were so friendly and snuggly. I wanted to take them all home, preferably. I had great fun hanging out with them. The space itself is warm and inviting, with lots of enrichment options for the kitties. They also sell merch. My friend purchased a tshirt for me for my birthday, which I happen to be wearing right now as I write this!! If it wasn't clear already, I am a big fan of Pounce and all the work they do to find sweet baby cats their proper homes. Highly recommend checking them out!

Great experience! The kitties all had their own personalities that made our visit so memorable. We each got a lemonade to drink, it was a relatively small glass but was delicious. The place was well kept and clean even with at least 10 cats that lived there 24/7. No cat box smell at all.

This was honestly my favorite thing I did in South Carolina! I love all animals. I spent about $12 per person for 30 minutes of play time with the cats. They also had an option that was $17 per person for an hour, plus you would get a drink. Either way, it was a great deal! All the cats are up for adoption and they get in new cats all the time. According to a sign in their place, they already adopted out over 2,000 cats. All the staff is so sweet and friendly as well as very knowledgable! I had such an amazing time and could have stayed there forever! If you like cats, or animals in general - definitely visit! I would be back if I was in the area.

A cat mom myself I had to come in and check this place out. You can pay for the amount of time there and if you pay I think it was for an hour you get a voucher for a drink from the back which was cool. I had a glass of wine while I spent time with the cats. All totally adorable and had their own personality. This place is playful, clean and comfortable with many areas to sit. I plan on coming back here soon! Now go adopt a cat from here!

This place is a must do if you are visiting Charleston! It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. All of the cats are so friendly and it is just a fantastic time. The ambience of the café is really relaxing and peaceful, mixed in with some fun because of the cats!

Pounce cafe was delightful. If you're looking for a relaxing little break in your day exploring charleston, or if you're looking for a cat to adopt, check out Pounce Cafe. Every person in there was just happy and relaxed and smiling the entire time. If you're looking to adopt, this is a great option. Even in just an hour you can really get to know the temperament and personality of some of the cats. Some are more snuggly, others more playful, and of course there are some that are a bit more spicy. They partner with local shelters, and the people there are amazing to talk to about each cat, and how long they've been there and what they're like. We actually ended up going in twice during our stay in Charleston, and the second time decided to go with the 'Cat Whisperer' package. If you really want to make sure you get a few cats interacting with you, or in your lap, then they give you a little bit of treats and catnip. It's still a great time without it, and there are toys and things all around to play with for everyone to use. Be careful though, it's gonna be hard to leave without wanting to bring one home with you.

A fun experience for my wife and I yesterday. Reserved an hour to play with cats and upped the ante with a date night special and cat treats. The date night special is a pastry to share and a bottle of house wine, also to share, which we did. There seemed to be about a dozen cats in the area, mostly sleeping because that's what cats do. Several were friendly, but others were feisty. We were there later in the day, so maybe by that point they had just had enough. Or maybe it's just because cats are a-holes on the regular. Still love them though. Walk-in traffic appeared to be welcomed, but several had to wait for a later time slot so that the cafe didn't get too full. Staff was really friendly, and we left without adopting a cat (this time).

$15 reserves you one hour with most adorable rescue cats and a drink of choice (coffee or tea). The facilities are so clean. I didn't even realize there were litter boxes around me because they are hidden and kept clean. The cats were so adorable! The day we reserved they only had eight cats, which is apparently really low. I can see why they all get adopted so quickly! There's plenty of space to play and so many toys to choose from! I highly recommend coming here even if you aren't planning to adopt! If you do happen to fall in love, you can sign adoption papers right there and cat pickup is on Monday. The adoption fee is $50!

Rich textures, warm lighting, and that unmistakable southern charm create an intimate, welcoming atmosphere that feels purposely hidden. Katie, serving as both bartender and host, elevated the entire experience. She was gracious, professional, and genuinely friendly the kind of hospitality that makes you want to come back before you've even left. Her Knob Creek whiskey sour was exceptional, easily one of the best in Charleston. Perfectly balanced with extra froth, it showed the kind of craft you expect from a top-tier mixology spot. There's a comprehensive cocktail menu and the French 75ish and the tiramisu martini were both delicious ($18 each). The prices are super comparable with other bars downtown. They have a full bar if you'd like a standard cocktail or any other creation I'm sure they could make it. Our server was great and very attentive. The kitchen stopped serving food at 10pm which I wish we had been told when we came in because I tried to order fries at 10:04 and was told I couldn't. Which I understand I just wish I had known. The place is pretty small and dark and very quiet so the perfect place for a calm nightcap.

When we walked in, the bartender and a waitress were talking, and acting very upset that we interrupted them. The bartender gave us menus and for being a wine bar, they did not have a large selection of wines by the glass, and had a handful of wines by the bottle that were severely over priced. We ended up on a white wine, and for the price, we were not impressed. (I should say that I am in no way a wine snob but know what I like). We had ordered the burrata and when it came out we were in awe, because what was on the plate was not in fact burrata. By the time the waitress dropped it off, she was gone quicker than we could inquire why mozzarella was on our plate. Eventually she came back and when we told her that it was not in fact burrata, she went back and spoke with the kitchen and came back and told us they ran out of burrata and just replaced it with mozzarella. (Making it seem like they just wanted to get away with it and were hopeful we would not notice). In the end, with the food mishaps, lack of choices, and very poor service; this was the big disappointment of our trip.
