Went with husband, on a trip to Lake Canandaigua…read more We both ordered the Yardman breakfast with home fries, onions, and peppers. It also includes 2 strips of bacon, a piece of ham, and a sausage patty. Sounds delicious, but the home fries are not from home, they are likely frozen, and they were way overdone. I couldn't even get my fork into many, and they were so bland. I doused them in ketchup and the "awesome sauce" on the table. No help. The pepper and onions were largely absent.. They were so finely diced, and also overcooked, it was easy to miss. Sausage, bacon, and ham were VERY crispy and a little burnt, but they were still tasty. The eggs were spot on. It came with meat sauce or sausage gravy. Both were very rich. I passed on my meat sauce (too much allspice and/or nutmeg for me). Husband ate his gravy. He said it was sausage forward, with little gravy, but definitely scratch made and good. Full points for that. Coffee was ok, nothing great, a little weak. Now, I will give them credit as we came in at the end of breakfast. So maybe that was it. We got what they had left. The staff was great! I think we missed the mark and should have gone with garbage plates.

The decor has the feel of a vintage steampunk era. A very cool place to sit and dine. The burgers were thin like a smash burger and so yummy. Highly recommend the homefries, seasoned and deep fried to perfection. Mac salad was very good, too. Can't wait to visit again and try some other menu items!

The rugby crepe tasted exactly like a Big Mac (respect ). The ham and asparagus was perfection, the asparagus was cooked perfect and the sauce on top was chefs kiss. We were seated in the middle of the crowded dining room around 1:30 that thinned out quite a bit during our brunch. Without a reservation you can't complain but we got bumped into a few times so it didn't make for a very relaxing experience. Our waitress was not very good. For the french toast she asked if I wanted a small or big stack. I didn't have glasses on or I might've noticed on the menu short=1, full=2. Using the same terminology or explaining would've been very helpful because when only one piece of toast arrived from my shorter "stack" I was very surprised. The mimosas were in small flute glasses which is way overpriced for the size. My husband's coffee was meant to have refills but we had to flag her down for that. She didn't actually bring us anything either, other wait staff brought the drinks and then the meals. The food was good, the ambience if you have the right seat is nice too. At the hostess station we overheard a phone call with someone requesting to be by the fireplace and now I see why. Will not return to this location when we're in town on a getaway this summer but might try the one in Pittsford or Penfield.

The server, Beth, was efficient, helpful, and friendly. The food came to me hot and tasty, and, sooner than I expected considering how busy the place was. Sitting at the counter, I was impressed how well the staff worked together. It is a well oiled machine. Pricing was inline with other similar diner/restaurants.

Ok so growing up in this area, we went to the place it was back in the day, Akropolis (I think is how the spelled it back then) Back in the day it was pricey. Fast forward to present day and it's STILL pricey...and pricey for a diner. It is NY after all, but I mean, plenty of diners around that are cheaper. Does that mean I had a bad experience? Nah. Was just shocked at the prices. My plain waffle with butter was like $9. That's just insane to me. Waitress was super nice. She didn't check on us for refills and whatnot tho. So that was unfortunate. Still a nice person. Suuuuper quick in wanting us to order tho and by the time we got there the breakfast rush was definitely over. So It's ok to slow down some, sis lol. It's a good place to check out. Will I rush back there? Nah, probably not. We went bc my friend had to go to Canandaigua for her boyfriend and my mom lives not far from Canandaigua. So my friend picked me up...hence why we chose this place. Definitely worth checking out. People like this place from the reviews I've seen. Again, it's not a bad place at all. Food was definitely good. Just pricier than I expected is all...and again...for a diner. People love diners bc the food is almost always better than "regular" restaurants and the prices are USUALLY cheaper. This place is about or close to the same as a reg restaurant. Thanks for reading, YelpHillyToppers! Cheers!

It was my son's last day of Christmas break vacation and I was engrossed in a book and didn't feel like cooking. I pulled up Yelp and saw Denny's. I haven't been to this restaurant in way too many years to count. I ordered two breakfast omelettes and a grilled chicken salad for delivery. It was almost noon my husband and son enjoyed their omelettes but said the hash browns were soaked in grease. My salad was fine. A little damp but nothing that stopped me from devouring it. Did it inspire a return visit? Maybe. Time will tell. Just happy they provided the service and I could finish the book I was reading.

And while it started as a bit of a gag - we were (mostly) impressed. I believe there were only two ladies holding it down in the front and nothing but respect to the both of them.  Fast, friendly, efficient... they were miracle workers. The three of us dug the food... home fries that were properly cooked with a great crust, bacon that was (mostly) crispy, maybe the portions weren't "Jersey diner" size but we were all pleasantly surprised with the grub. Even their green smoothie was shockingly delicious (all that sugar, I bet). My biggest issue?  The coffee. A place that's breakfast-centric lives or dies by their roasted beans and... ...it was a small portion in a small cup, not even filled up. ...no refills made/offered. ...it just didn't taste good ....it was almost $4?! Would we come back again (overlooking that we live over 5 hours away)?  Ahhh... maybe. (To the other Yelper that tried their lasagna... who in their right mind would ever think to order lasagna at a Denny's?!  That's not even a meal you'd bother to try at an actual Italian restaurant!)

So my party of two didn't get to eat here. But strange to turn people away when online, it states the business closes at 2pm. EDIT: If you post a sign on the door with specific hours but don't update your hours on Google, it can create confusion for customers. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the chalkboard outside, which lists a closing time of 2 PM, and the sign allegedly on the door which stated 11:30 AM close. We didn't even see the 11:30 sign. The hostess also mentioned a noon closing time. It might be helpful to ensure that all sources of information are aligned to avoid misunderstandings. For those seeking consistency, another option nearby, such as Simply Crepes, might be a better choice. If the owner is responding to Yelp reviews, I'm sure he's tech savvy enough to update hours on Google. Also, if last call is 11:30 and we walked in before 11:15, not sure why we weren't able to be seated.
