Egg sandwich on a homemade bagel with ham
    Carole S.

A delicious breakfast at this great find on a Sunday morning. I enjoyed the California Crab Eggs Benedict and my husband said his egg sandwich on homemade bagel was good. We might just have a homemade dessert as a meal next time we dine here. Warm welcoming clean diner with plenty of tables. Great service. Ample parking. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We were with a tour bus and stopped here for dinner. Frankly, I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a large back room that seated us all, and the service was very good. The staff worked efficiently and served us all drinks, and the kitchen turned out 53 orders pretty quickly. Salads were pretty good. My fried Haddock fish dinner was delicious, with a nice coating of panko, I believe. The French fries were particularly good. Even though it was deep fried, it wasn't greasy at all. My wife had the chicken and rice dinner, and it came with three generous pieces of chicken. For dessert, we both had strawberry shortcake with strawberry ice cream. A nice dessert that wasn't heavy, and complimented our dinners perfectly. The food and service were good, but if you are looking for fine dining atmosphere, you won't find it here. It's nothing fancy, but as I say the food and service were good. Make sure to check out the dessert case near the register when you come in. Slices of pies and cakes looked very nice.

Simple basic restaurant for breakfast. When we arrived the place wasn't super busy. NGood food & service. Very likely will return again.

Great diner! We were on our way to Watkins Glen and needed a lunch spot. Hopped on Yelp and found this new hot business and great reviews. Walked in around 1230 and it was busy but managed to grab 2 seats at the counter. We had Hannah as our server and she was very friendly and seemed to love her job! I went with a cheeseburger and fries and man did I make the right decision! The burger was cooked to perfection and was delicious!! The breakfast plates and sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked great too! Definitely will stop in again when in the area!

This is a great breakfast stop! Lots of choices ! The pancakes are huge . It's a big clean diner with a view of lovely route 20. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and spacious. It's definitely home style ,not gourmet. Prices are fair also.

We love the sky burger - It's a double decker cooked to order. No bun is a great Koto meal - replace fries with cottage cheese.

Having made reservations for 7:30pm, we arrived early and waited for our table to be ready. We made a note in our reservation for a booth on the fireplace side, and the woman (host) worked hard to make sure that happened. After sitting down, we placed in a couple appetizers. The bacon-wrapped scallops were delightful. The bacon, crispy and the scallops incredibly tender. Served with a side of drawn butter, but these were delicious on their own. As for the loaded potato puffs, we received a generous number of puffs, and each one was also very tasty. The sriracha ranch sour cream was the cherry on top. For mains, we opted in for the prime rib, and Delmonico "cowboy" cut. The prime rim was incredibly tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Served with a phenomenal au jus, this is the best prime rib I've ever had. I can confidently say that about the Delmonico steak as well. This 20 oz. center-cut, bone-in was grilled to the perfect requested medium-rare. Seasoned perfectly, tender and juicy. Although I didn't care much for the gorgonzola cheese sauce, the steak was amazing. We also ordered a side of lobster tail. This was also incredibly tender and really brought the meals together. To end all things, we ordered their creme brulee served in a chocolate shell. This was a great dessert, although I would have preferred the custard to be firmer, and less chocolate sauce overall. I found the generous amount of chocolate sauce on the bottom of the plate, and on top of the creme brulee, on top of the chocolate shell they're served in to be over the top. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this dessert. I want to point out, all the staff members including the owner was very kind and welcoming. From the initial host to our server Lauren, to her boss who came around to ask us how everything was, the staff are very hospitable. Add in a warm and cozy dining room area with a fireplace, this is easily a 10/10 experience for us. We will make it a point to revisit more often and not years in between.

We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.

Rachel our server was great at getting the girls real coloring books and a big assortment of crayons. Somebody is really thinking about the little kids. Huge selection of New York beers, wines, and ciders. I tasted the girl's cheese pizza. This is not your average cheese pizza. I truly wish I had taken the time to analyze the complexity of the sauce, because I would love to make something half as nice. Omah (the grandmother, my wife) had fried ravioli. The shells were nice, golden and crunchy. But the cheese filling was some magical mixture of mozz and ricotta that dazzled my tongue. I had the NY Burger. Background: I am not a New Yorker. I was raised in the deep South, and up to now had questioned the value of anything "New York." (Excepting my grandchildren and their mom, of course.) I expect pretentious and parochial, over-priced and lacking value. The burger I had at New York Kitchen was the best I've ever had. I'm 72. I'm a meat eater. I've eaten thousands and thousands of burgers. Hands down this was the best, ever. The meat itself was super tasty and juicy, perfectly cooked to my specification. The brioche roll was perfect. The Bibb lettuce and tomato perfect, too. The sauce? Magic and mystifying. I didn't expect a lot going in to the restaurant, because the architecture is striking. (In my experience, focus on environment takes focus off the food. New York Kitchen breaks all of my rules. I am so happy to have been there. Thanks to my son and his family!

It is located in an older strip mall that has seen better days. The interiors are a bit dark and could use brighter lighting. While the inside isn't fancy, the restaurant was still well decorated and clean, and most importantly, serves up tasty and flavorful food. They also have an array of Indian snacks and drinks available for purchase/take out, which was a nice touch because they probably aren't readily available in the general area. To start off, we went with the vegetable bhajia (3.5/5) which were good, but would have preferred they made them a little crispier. For meals, we went the paneer makhani and vegetable muglai (both 4.5/5). Both dishes had gravies of high quality, which I wasn't expecting in the Finger Lakes area, as they could go toe to toe with quality Indian restaurants you find in the NJ/PA area. The naan (5/5) was fluffy and delicious as well. The service (I think by the owner) was warm and friendly. There weren't many customers which had us concerned a bit, but he explained that most of the restaurants in Canandaigua have an early dinner crowd and also tend to close early as most locals don't dine out very late. They do automatically add an 18% service charge, which we didn't mind as prices for everything were very reasonable and we probably would have tipped more than that anyway cause of the satisfying experience. Overall, I'd the restaurant a 4.5 out of 5, and would recommend Flavors for quality Indian cuisine in Canandaigua. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for a meal should my travels bring me back to the Finger Lakes.
