Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch before leaving back to OKC after a girls' weekend trip to Tulsa. It was conveniently located walking distance from our hotel (Hyatt Regency) in Downtown Tulsa, so we walked to/from this diner. This place was packed, but the service was incredible nevertheless and me and my friend were seated fairly quickly despite the crowd. I love the details of the interior of this diner. There is an actual diner/bar area where you can sit at, but also plenty of booth/style seating and high tops where my friend and I sat. The exposed ceilings added to the trendiness of this spot. Food: *Biscuits & Gravy* I spied someone else who ordered a biscuit, and had to order it myself, because it's my favorite breakfast food! The biscuit was so flaky and fluffy and delicious. The gravy was tasty as well. I added an egg over medium and the flavors and textures balanced out perfectly. *Pancake* My friend and I shared a short stack of pancakes. Absolutely delicious. The batter they use is very flavorful and the pancakes came out super fluffy. Topped with maple syrup and I was in heaven. I would return back and try other foods. Dilly Diner is well-loved by Tulsa, and for good reason! I came with a group of 9 and thankfully, we didn't have to wait for a table! Our waitress was fantastic. I wish we had gotten her name so I could give her a shout-out for being the absolute best. I never met anyone as kind and conversational as her. Both breakfast and lunch are served all day, but everyone in my party opted for breakfast. I had a short stack of pancakes with Nutella buttercream. For only $4.95, I received 4 huge, fluffy pancakes. The tall stack is 7 plate-sized cakes, which would be too much for even me--a pancake connoisseur--to finish! The Nutella buttercream costs $2 to add to the pancakes, and it was the best $2 I spent! It tasted like 95% chocolate and 5% hazelnut, but it was delicious nonetheless. Served by the dollop, the buttercream was the perfect topping that made a good meal great. One thing that really impressed me about the Dilly Diner was the fruit cup. Instead of a pathetic bowl of melon, the fruit cup was a mix of berries and apples, all tasting fresh and juicy. The frittatas were popular at my table, and so were the breakfast potatoes. It was a lovely morning for a walk. We left our hotel and strolled over to Dilly Diner for some breakfast. We got there right when they opened to kick off our day. I was amply supplied with caffeination. Excellent coffee. I had the breakfast sandwich with potatoes and my husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito. All was swift and delicious. If you like monster sized cinnamon rolls, they had some fabulous looking ones displayed with their baked goods. Our server was pleasant and made us feel welcome. Beautiful restaurant! Huge menu! Friendly staff! Pancakes have a vanilla flavor to them. I went here with my friend and got the basic breakfast because I wasn't super hungry and he got the chicken fried chicken or steak I can't remember. He really really enjoyed it. He ate almost all of it and it covers the entire plate so I was very surprised!! My food was normal no big surprises but I wish I would've gotten toast instead. If you're considering getting pancakes it's important to note that their pancakes taste like they've added vanilla or something to them and I wasn't a fan of the flavor combo. I was expecting a regular pancake so this was a little off putting for me. I didn't like it but my friend did. If you like vanilla you should try it. I arrived on a weekday morning and was able to promptly seated, without wait. Servers and wait staff are quick and attentive. Food is good, typical for a diner setting, but a few fun surprises on the menu. Fruit cup is a bit "melon heavy" and I really enjoyed their breakfast potatoes. What an epic disaster. We sat down around 7 pm, and it took 40 minutes to get food. Two breakfast burritos and two big kid breakfast plates which included a pancake, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a side of fruit. The place is basically empty, maybe four tables full (three servers!), so it is unfathomable how it took so long. We have had this same experience before and thought maybe the diner had improved. Alas, no. This is a diner. They had no decaf coffee and apparently no ability to make anything decaf. Also, the restaurant is freezing. My party is sitting with coats, hats, and scarves on. Went to Dilly Diner today, it is easy to walk to from where I work, when I came in it had speedy service to get me a seat and very good customer service, and the look of it is very classic and old school and I like it. First off, the atmosphere and the food was fantastic! Unfortunately our waitress was not. We waited over forty minutes for our food, while multiple tables seated AFTER us got their food. Our drinks, and plates were aggressively slammed on the table, we had to get up and walk to the front just to get our check and we were greeted with awful attitude, for us it's upsetting due to the fact we were on a family sporting event out of town and we were excited to eat at such an adorable place. Used to eat here often and was always good. Seems that things have fallen off. Waited 40 min for food. When my breakfast burrito arrived it wasn't warm. There appeared to be some type of filling that was charred black in the burrito. The only thing I can figure out is it was pepper and onions. You're going to get full on whatever you order (you'll enjoy eating it too!)! Just accept it. I strongly recommend the cinnamon roll w/ cream cheese AND pecans (please share this) and the chicken and waffles (the honey sriracha sauce is the show stopper here)! They have a pretty solid bagel and lox as well. Our waitress, her name escapes me....tall, black girl (I'm sorry anyone under 28 is a "girl" to me) with glasses, was kind and forgiving.....We're the type of party that orders "extra this" and "crispy that"...ya catch my drift? Service, in the beginning, could've been better. We waited a little minute to be seated. A few others, who walked in after us, were seated immediately...hmmm.....I won't harp on that.
