I absolutely love the Dilly Diner! I genuinely believe you can't go wrong with any of their food. I have gotten the breakfast sandwich and French toast and neither disappoint. It's time to post an updated review of Dilly Diner. I didn't have a great experience the first time the switch happened from Dilly Deli to Dilly Diner. It was extremely disappointing and it took me a long time to come back; a few years, partly due to the experience and partly due to the fact that I had moved away. Upon moving back to Tulsa, I gave it another try. It was great! So, we came back again; it was nearly perfect. Now this is a permanent breakfast spot on our rotation. We love it here. We love eating on the patio. They are so accommodating to us with our dog and our baby. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is great, too! A fan favorite for us is the pancakes! I'm really bummed to have to do this but I came to Dilly Diner this morning just to have the awesome cinnamon roll. I actually brought a friend from out of state to experience the "best cinnamon roll ever." Unfortunately, the cinnamon roll we were served was way off. It was clearly not fresh. And although I understand that not everything can always be made the same day, this cinnamon roll was either over microwaved or just over dried out. I didn't mention anything because I kept trying a few bites, thinking it would get better toward the center, but it didn't. I also really don't like to complain. There wasn't anything else I wanted, and I was happy to pay for the meal I was served. I will definitely try the Dilly Diner cinnamon roll again. I hope at that time I can come back and change this to a five star review. Apologies that I didn't feel comfortable addressing this at the time. I arrived on a weekday morning and was able to promptly seated, without wait. Servers and wait staff are quick and attentive. Food is good, typical for a diner setting, but a few fun surprises on the menu. Fruit cup is a bit "melon heavy" and I really enjoyed their breakfast potatoes. Overall, very pleasant brunch experience! The service was very good. Came in and didn't have to wait long at all. Everyone had smiles on their faces. Our waitress was very patient with us and very kind! The Jed was the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. It was so warm and fresh, the traditional whipped cream cheese was very delightful. I had the Huevos Rancheros with fruit on the side and it was pretty good. I asked for my eggs as over-easy and I was very happy with the result. Normally when I ask for over-easy eggs elsewhere, it's typically more underdone, but here it was perfect. There was a small, subtle kick of spice in the dish, but nothing that made me constantly fill myself with water. The very subtle kick came from the bell pepper and the raw onion. The meat was a bit too salty, but still pretty delicious. The fruit was okay, I did enjoy the grapefruit slice but it didn't seem super fresh. A bit warm, but I'd assume that was because of the heat conduction from the actual meal. My boyfriend did mention that his breakfast sandwich seemed a bit basic. I thought it was good but I did agree with him. I felt like it wasn't super unique in its own way, kind of reminded both of us of a better, non-greasy version of a McDonald's sandwich. read more

Came here the morning after a great show at Cain's Ballroom. I didn't expect it to be so cute inside! The green tiles are cute and so are the booths. It's got a nice retro feel but it isn't outdated. I ordered an almond milk latte and the chorizo breakfast tacos with potatoes. My husband ordered the French dip off the lunch menu with the chips and dip as the side. My breakfast tacos had scrambled eggs, chorizo, cheese, cilantro, avocado and chipotle sauce of some sort with flour tortillas. They were so good and filling! They didn't skimp on the avocado either which was nice. It came with 2 tacos. The potatoes were so interesting. I think they were parboiled and maybe pan fried or roasted. The inside was like a boiled potato but the outside was crispy. Another yelper said Dilly Diner has the best breakfast potatoes in Tulsa and I see why! They are so good. It didn't look like a lot of potatoes but it was actually perfect! My husband's meal was also really great. His French dip came on focaccia bread which is not traditional but it was very delicious. They put some sort of garlic aioli on the sandwich and it was intensely garlicky which he and I loved. The au jus was pretty salty, which wasn't my favorite but the sandwich on its own was wonderful. The chips were house-made I believe, and the dip he got was bleu cheese horseradish, perfect for him but not my thing. He couldn't finish the meal, but he thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was wonderful and we got our food faster than any other restaurant I've been to in a long time. Our server was great too. I would 100% visit this place again. We often don't have time for breakfast in the morning when we visit Tulsa, but I absolutely want to make time to come back to this restaurant. read more

The perfect execution of the dishes elevates the experience far beyond the typical diner experience We had fried chicken and chicken, fried steak and breakfast tacos. Each was delish. Only criticism is as follows: Potatoes were a bit forgettable on the side and the Cinammon roll, while very good, was a little dry the day we got it. But the icing? YES! So good. I'm really marking this 4.5 stars and the only reason it's not 5 stars was the service. My burrito was very big (I'm 7 months pregnant and could finish it) and flavorful. It wasn't very hot but I was starving so I didn't say anything. The coffee was never hot either. Luke warm each refill. The flapjacks were to die for. It's a sweet batter that didn't even need syrup, just butter. Still craving them a week later. My husband got a breakfast sandwich which seemed really basic but the sausage and everything on it was very flavorful. Cute little place in Blue Dome District. The service was like pulling teeth to get hot coffee refills and silverware and sauces we had asked for (who doesn't bring syrup and butter with the pancakes???). Popular place for good reason and conveniently located in the Blue Dome district. I love breakfast and would have it all day long, so especially nice it's served here all day when I sleep in. I started with a Bloody Mary, added some extras, and it was good but not the best ever. A little watered down but might've been the quickly melted ice. The chicken fried steak and eggs were absolutely delicious and I enjoyed how it was served over the extra crispy skin-on potatoes. The gravy was thick, didn't sog anything down, and paired well with both the potatoes and steak. I like to eat my over easy eggs with potatoes and there was plenty on the plate to sop the yolks up with them. We also ordered the grilled cheese with a tasty side of tomato bisque soup. The sandwich was simply delicious made on brioche with tomato, American, cheddar, and provolone cheeses. It's usually busy but I've never received bad service the many times I've visited. Forgive me for being vague, and not saying exactly what caused my rating to go from 5 to 3 stars, because let me tell you THIS PLACE WAS 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!! My wife and I absolutely loved everything about it!! Unfortunately, something happened. I spoke to the manager, and relayed the message to the owner before leaving. It was extremely unfortunate, and caused a big drop in how I decided to review this place. For me it does not fully take away from what we experienced, but man it was bad. You can message me personally if you want to know. That being said, now I can focus on the good. And that is literally everything else besides a split second. The inside is awesome. A bunch of iconic pictures that have been photoshopped specially for this place. They have their own special brew from Topeca roasters, that you can tell is brewed fresh, with FREE refills, and it's available by the pound. In typical Diner fashion the service was amazing. We had Jamie (SP), and she took care of us above and beyond. Made the order easy. Always checked in, and even threw a couple things for free because they came out a bit wonky. The food was AMAZING! Some of the best sausage I have had. The egg whites I got had great flavor. My wife's breakfast was good, crispy potatoes with a soft flesh, eggs cooked well, fluffy biscuit, and then when we did the short stack with nutells buttercream...O MAN!!! So yummy. This place has an amazing classic diner atmosphere with a bakery presentation that is worthy of the food network. The staff is friendly and the menu is breakfast all day and delicious. I had the cinnamon French toast crunch and it changed my world for the better. I ended by getting a s'mores cookie that was as big as my face and it was so good. Not only is the bakery second to none not only in taste but also in presentation. The drawback and it's really not even much of a drawback is it is kind of pricey but you are getting fresh made quality food. I had a hiccup and thought my meal came with a choice of side when it did not but I ordered as if it did and was pleasantly surprised when my bill was substantially higher than I anticipated. I cannot place blame totally on them or myself because I don't remember the menu layout exactly I would just say double check to make sure you're not ordering an extra side.
