I am disgusted by the way this store is run. don't spend your money here. the managers are rude. the security guard followed me from the moment I walked in.- up and down the escalator for over 30 minutes- and later had a very rude associate accuse me of stealing a bag.- when I hadn't even been in the handbag department. I can't even believe I was followed and treated so rudely just because they couldn't get their facts straight. that security guard wouldn't last a day in any real law enforcement. This Dillard's never has very good sale prices anymore but they do have an organized store and helpful staff. The girls at the makeup counters are super hateful though. I try to avoid going there. I had change to get out (exact change, like 74 cents or something) and as I was digging in my purse the girl kept huffing and sighing. Like girl - pause. I'm workin on it. So if u have to make a fast gift card purchase and are cheap like me and also hate coins and wanna get rid of them - do noooot check out at the makeup counters! At least the store appears clean and I would choose it a million times over the trashpile that Macys has been the past few years. read more

I've been a Dillards shopper (in store and online) for a long time now. I've always experienced great service. If you need to return something at the Fairview location and specifically if you need to go to the customer service department to handle online returns, deal only with the manager on duty. Unfortunately, I had the pleasure of enduring patronizing and very unprofessional service from one of their customer service representatives. You would think that they would have their most seasoned employees in that department. read more

My sister went in to speak with customer service and she has never felt so uncomfortable in her life. She got the ladies names Nancy and grace, made fun of how she looked, kept speaking behind her back repeatedly, made her wait to speak with a manager for 30 minutes. The ladies were poking around the corner staring at her, speaking loudly about her, and doing little gestures that my sister had been doing( ex. Pulling down her dress) and she watched one of the ladies act like she was pulling down a dress. My sister finally just got up and left because she knew she was gettin made fun of. So freaken rude. I ventured to this Dillard;s today and very happy I did! I'm usually a Sephora girl, but they don't carry the Lancome product I was wanting to try. Thankfully, I found Zeba at the Lancome counter who was wonderful! She was super sweet and helpful! I've never been to this Dillard's before, but will definitely return. I cannot believe how rude and bitchy the handbag people are... making eye contact with me SEVERAL times but not saying hello or can I help you find anything? NOTHING... complete rudeness... and when she would catch my eye she'd turn around and act busy... there was no one else in the store except the other employee... so as I was walking out pissed off I called them both out and told them how rude they were and she actually said..."sorry we are just in the zone"... We were double charged for a dress and noticed once we walked out to the car. When we walked back in and to customer service the manager on duty was VERY rude and made us feel like it was our fault we didn't catch it before we paid and was almost irritated we wanted the money back. We will make the drive to a different Dillard's now. read more

I have always observed how she receives customers with a big smile and laughter! she is always trying to provide the best she can!. I have been shopping at this Dillard's for a while now - ever since they opened up. However, this past weekend, I went to get a receipt straightened out and experienced very rude customer service. My mom had bought two purses for which she was overcharged and to top it all off, the tags and the receipts weren't matching. Instead of helping, after making me wait for an hour, the manager, Angela, came by and completely blew me off. I don't return things often so I was taken completely by surprise. I own a Levian ring I purchased at this Dillard's fine jewelry dept in Fairview. I had lost a chocolate diamond so Macys sent my ring into Levian, as there is a lifetime warranty. It came back with the diamond replaced but the jeweler changed the structure of the ring. (It is a cross over type of ring). Levian argued with Macys when they attempted to send it back to be restored to its former shape or structure. In comes fine jewelry mgr. Tammy. She spent two weeks calling, sending photos, even searching the web on her own time at home to convince them of their repair error. They argued with her saying they did not reshape the ring but they clearly had, hence all the pictures and research to show them the error of their way. Finally they took it back and restored it. Whoever is Tammy's manager, you got a good one here, don't let her go! She went over and above for a customer, and that is extremely rare nowadays and was duly noted. Thank you! read more

I am so tired of the complete lack of service at the Dillard's in Fairview. I know that if I plan to shop at this store, then I need to allow myself a 2 hour time slot because the service is so unbelievably slow. I am assuming that it is always understaffed since I always have to spend the majority of my time seeking out an employee just to complete my purchases. The employees have Never once offered assistance to me without me asking. On Thursday, December 18th I was in the children's department attempting to purchase $500 worth of children's clothes. Several of my items were marked down and were not ringing up at the discounted price. I explained to the associate the situation and she completely discredited me and told me that someone must have placed the items in the wrong spot.. She refused to confirm my to see if my items were marked down. After asking numerous times, a lady from the children's shoe department offered assistance and found that my items were on sale, The associate attempted to raise her voice at me to tell me that she did not even work in that department(she works in the bedding department), so she did not know how to check on the scanner to see if items were on sale. She continued to raise her voice to tell me that it was my fault that I didn't check first. When asked by another customer, she was completely unaware of the return policy. Once again, she blamed it on not working in that department. She also refused to scan the previous customer's receipt to give her the full amount of her return until the more knowledgeable associate from the children's shoe department took care of the problem again. I work too hard for my money to be treated with such blatant disrespect from Dillard's. And yes, I blame Dillard's because she is a direct representative of the company as a whole. Dillard's need to reevaluate their customer service training. I will never shop at this Dillard's again. If I do decide to shop at Dillard's, I will drive out of my way to the Frisco location. (That is a big IF) There is way too much competition in the DFW area to put up with the terrible service that I received. read more
