Love shopping here. Cavender's does not train their seasonal staff well. She didn't know the product she was selling. She should have been shadowing another employee. All good, it didn't change my mind on what boots to get. I did the research before hand, I knew what would work best for me. Boots go with everything, it's an essential for Texas living. Boots are leather, with a man made sole, initially the boots were too snug, one foot more then the other. I used a plastic bag to slide my foot into the boot. I ended up with a solid fit, but stuck with a bag on my foot. I highly suggest you go to a boot store like this one, try on that boot, to find that perfect fit. Especially, if you plan on buying boots on line. This prevents you sending the boots back more then once. The price difference between a store bought boot and amazon is about $80. After walking around the house I had a pretty good fit. It feels like the leather is part of my foot! On Ariet's boots, I suggest one 1/2 size smaller then what you normally wear. Maybe more. It becomes a personal experience on what feels best. I've since bought additional boots, including online shopping by trying on here first. 16/2019

Those are ALL made in China. Cowboy boots. In Texas. SMH

Normally we shop Boot Barn simply because it is easier to get to. I have not been to Cavender's in years, but decided to head there instead because my perception was it wasn't the Target of western wear like Boot Barn and figured we'd get a little better choice. BUT, super bummed out on the kids' boot section. Most of the kids' boots were made in China. WTH?! Found one style made in Mexico, and one made in India. With several major retailers based in Texas - Nocona and Justin to name a few - how can we not find some American made boots for my ten year old? Literally racks and racks of Chinese "cowboy boots." Ended up with a pair of Indian boot which I suppose is marginally better than China. Would have preferred the Mexican boot (at least they are actually in this hemisphere), but they didn't have the size we needed. Seriously disgusting that there were no American made boots for kids. My daughter needs a new pair of boot, and we'll head back to Boot Barn for her so we can buy not-Chinese/India boots. People were friendly. Not much staffing, but that is hard everywhere so I don't blame Cavenders for that.

    Receipt of the terrible cashier.

Cashier #41466 with the huge lashes accused me of stealing something because my husband and I walked around the store and only bought 2 face masks. Completely humiliated us at the front of the store. We weren't being suspicious in any way. She even gave us so much attitude while checking us out, and I asked her what she was looking at because she was staring at me so intentionally. She was so rude and such a pain to deal with. Not to mention, this location didn't have much of a variety in the items we came to look at (jeans, hats, boots). We won't be coming back.

Love this store! They always have the biggest and the nicest variety in western style! I went there to find my outfit for the American Rodeo and take some pictures to promote the event. Love this store!

If you have a college age son this is where you can buy the stone washed jeans that is now a must in any college town along with the khaki jeans. They had a sale, buy two get one free and I was there to buy my son two pairs of the jeans so I walked out with the khakis for free. The service from the time you walk in is fantastic.

Highly recommend Prized Kicks for buying and selling shoes. Understanding the sneaker market and…read morereselling business prior to coming in helps a lot. Owners are reasonable and offer pretty fair pricing for items that sell well in the store. If you can't sell it instantly to someone on the street for a certain price, how can you expect them to pay more than that if the value isn't there (when selling your shoes). It's just like any other business. Supply and demand. There's a premium for getting cash on the spot. Just like there's a premium for walking in a store and buying a shoe you've always wanted on the spot. That's just the business at the end of the day if you want to keep the lights on. If you can understand this and be patient with store hours/availability, this is hands down the best place to buy and sell shoes in the DFW area.

The employee tells me "we're not buying used shoes until Thursday". I ask him why they were closed last 3 times, and he says "idk you'll have to ask the owner". I come back on Thursday and it's CLOSED. Im sorry but who do you think you are? As for selling of the shoes, the one time I was able to, they tried to rip me off. The employee had the nerve to be offended that I asked for $170 for a pair of Playoff 8s ($342 resale on GOAT). They had been worn 2 times and looked fantastic. He tried to repeatedly work it into a package deal with other shoes. Never gave me an evaluation of the shoe by itself. Never gave good explanations. Tried to scam from the start. These guys don't have respect for you. They don't respect anyone as a matter of fact. Which is why they shouldn't be respected by anyone

I ran my first local 5k race this morning and managed to come in 4th overall female and 1st in my age group. I immediately thought, "NEW SHOES would have made podium!" I was 9 seconds from it. My trainers were so worn out. I feel like I just purchased them but I've been using them for my runs and walks and knew it was time for a new pair. I walked over to Fleet Feet this afternoon to inquire about new insoles and shoes. Fleet Feet Plano provided the BEST service!!! We did a few measurements and reviewed my analysis then went over several options. The shoe I've ran in for years, a different model and a shoe with a larger toe box I'd wanted to try. Once selecting a new model we moved onto several insole options. I'm a Brooks girly through and through and stuck with this brand but a different model this go around. New city, new shoes, new model, new insoles! She's ready! Maybe in the coming months I can squeak out an overall 1st 2nd or 3rd haha ;) If you're in need of a great new shoe, you absolutely should come into this store. Highly recommend. I learned they have weekly Tuesday social 5k runs at 630p and second Tuesday of the month ShackShack 5k runs. Totally have to hit that ShakeShack run that ends in a Fred shake or beer! Great store! I've been to a few of their locations around the country, and they are fairly similar. This one is on the smaller side but still has a wide selection of products, although not as many duplicates on display. They do have frequent social runs as a bonus and even hosted a neat quarterly event with raffles from different health/fitness/restaurant vendors and a run with Hoka shoe demos. I always get my insoles from Fleet Feet due to their comfort, personalization, and durability and purchased one when they had a promotion. Unfortunately the staff member did not put the correct discount in and overcharged me, but after realizing and going back, they were able to fix it, although their tone in doing so suggested an attitude. The staff were very friendly when I was making the purchase, so I'm hoping it was a one time interaction. Overall great outreach with the running community and opportunities to try new products. Consistently good products, but hit or miss service.

The employee counted them which is completely reasonable. Then I was told I could not enter because they were not on hangers. I explained that I picked them up from the sales floor without hangers and asked for three hangers. They gave them to me but then told me I still had to place every shirt back onto the rack outside the fitting room before I could go in. So I had to hang the shirts on the rack outside the dressing room just so I could walk inside and immediately remove them again. There was no purpose to it other than creating extra work and slowing the process down. As I was leaving I watched another customer get stopped because she had not rehung her clothing before exiting. Customers are now expected to do work that fitting room attendants have always handled. Retail stores are competing with online shopping where convenience is everything. Policies like this make the in store experience slower more frustrating and less enjoyable. I hope someone at the corporate level reevaluates whether this policy is actually helping anyone because from a customer's perspective it only creates unnecessary inconvenience.
