This is my second time coming into this location with bags full of gently worn even brand new items with tags. Both time they've said NONE of my items are deemed worthy of their store. This location specifically seems to think $10-$15 price drop is a steal with a stained/ stretched/ We love the better for the plan as recusing clothing movement but bring back fun thrifting. And more affordable used clothing. Richardson has much more common sense pricing with used clothing. read more

I contemplated writing a review but after getting home, I was more bothered by my experience. I went in to sell items. Understandably, they're not going to buy everything but the lack of respect / treatment of the items I brought in was disappointing. I neatly folded and packed everything in storage tote. When I got it back, the lid was buckled. I opened it to realize the items I brought in were balled up and literally thrown in. They're all tangled together. It was horrible. They also placed my shoes on top which were warped due to them lazily cramming them on top. The clothes are now wrinkled and look like a child packed this while cleaning their room. This isn't how you treat a customers items. Y'all really need to do better read more

The first time I went into this establishment it had clothing for older than 21. This last time when I came in trying to sell some of my lightly used clothes, the people in in charge we collage aged and definitely not interested in anything I brought in. Not only that but they were very rude .The young lady that I dealt with was speaking so quickly almost like an auctioneer that I could not understand what she said, and I have excellent hearing. I would not recommend this for anyone over 35 unless you like your dress as a highschooler or a college person. read more

Horrible service. ((ZERO STARs)) I always enjoy a good thrift and if you do too, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! Word to the wise, they do not care one bit about customer service. They'll leave your sensor tag on, sell you damaged clothes and won't even remove the sensor they left on. GO TO FRISCO LOCATION THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU, FIX THEIR MISTAKES AND HAVE A BRIGHTER STAFF AND BETTER SELECTION. The franchise manager (for Allen) is not helpful nor is she empathetic to a situation where her own staff member messed up and left a sensor tag on my piece of clothing when I spent over $200 there on the day of purchase. I returned to this Allen tx location today, because when I purchased this white-overall jumpsuit less than 48 hours ago on Saturday evening; they left the sensor tag on. The metal detectors did not beep when I left on Saturday and even today when I came to try and get sensor tag taken off--their detectors didn't beep either when I walked out with my now damaged purchase. Whaaaa? why didn't they take off the sensor tag today?? Because according to the Allen location (ONLY), if the tag is no longer attached to the piece of clothing, they will not remove a sensor... I called their store manager at Allen and I asked if there really isn't anything they can do about this situation and she didn't even empathize or truly apologize for the mistake. She just said no there's nothing she can do for me... even when I have every necessary piece of evidence for the purchase. I work retail myself, so my next move since they are franchised out was to call another location. HILARIOUSLY different phone call... I called the Frisco location and asked to speak to their manager, and I let them know the situation, and they apologized heavily, and HAPPILY said they would have me come in and SIMPLY LOOK UP my purchase and REMOVE THE SENSOR that the ALLEN LOCATION MISSED. Haha seriously--immediately she reasoned with it, said they would have no problem with looking up the sku/ proof of purchase on my account and remove this sensor tag. Wowzaaaa yeah. I love this location of UC. The staff is fantastic and there are many gems to uncover. My only complaint is that you'll have to wade through an enormous amount of clothing from Walmart and Target. Really dislike this place for selling or buying. They will give you 50¢ for a new pair of jeans, and then sell for $50. You can bring a big box of in style clothes, branded and sizes they accept, and they will accept 2 out of 50. They did this to me. I brought a huge box of torrid, as they advertised they take the brand and needed to restock their plus sizes. So I anticipated them taking most of it. They didn't take a single torrid piece. The prices are WAY too high for used clothing. The workers are teens that really don't care. They'd rather gossip and play on their phones it seemed. It took over an hour to check my stuff, and we weren't allowed to leave. And TWO items they bought. But they had $40 for used lululemon. That gross, and the prices are insane. The only time it's worth it is when they do a big clear out sale, but other than that, I won't go here. I likely won't even go for a sale either. The store is cluttered and unfriendly. I have had two terrible experiences selling here. It used to be good but it has gone downhill lately. The first time I went in I dropped off probable close to 30 items and they when I went back in to grab my items they said they bought 5 and offered me 5 dollars. After looking through my items in the car, I noticed that over half were missing, when I came back in the lady looked at me like I was stupid and just handed me a $20. The second time I brought around 15 items, and they took 3, when I got my items backed I noticed that they took my 3 items WITH TAGS (totalling over $200 in value) for $12, absolutely ridiculous. read more

This place is alright, I've come here several times with a huge bin of many different types of clothes each time I changed it to see what they would take, and only had 3 items taken out of all the times I've been there. I've looked around for clothes and they are much pricier than other uptown and resale shops in the DFW area. Lots of it was more expensive than retail. Most of the women's clothes are crop tops, sweaters, t-shirts, tank tops, mostly just crop tops so if you want to find a full shirt that you like probably go somewhere else. They were quick with looking through my clothes, but I watched them roll everything up in a ball and physically stuff my basket- even though it was folded nicely before. I felt as if they disregard what they don't take as it isn't their problem any more. Well I called the store in Addison and also went on your website to see if you take polo, Zara ,Armani. The fact that yall told me you didn't want anything was crazy because the clothes are in almost brand new condition. But the kick in the face was when she asked me if I wanted to donate them right after she told me she couldn't take them because the style which is insane because called and they confirmed what brands they take. I have my own company my wife works for a law firm and my brother plays for the dolphins so it wasn't about the money because they could've gave me $10 and I would left all the clothes. I called around 6:30 to see if they were still taking clothes, and they told us yes everyday until 7, i hustled there and got there 10 minutes to spare and when we walked in nobody was inside besides two workers sitting behind the counters and as soon as i walk in they say they aren't accepting anymore clothes because they are "very backed up", so WHY DID THE WORKER THAT ANSWERED NOT SAY THAT BEFORE I DROVE ALL THE WAY THERE. Very disappointed in my experience here. I came with three bags of freshly laundered clothes, most of them brand names, two pairs of shoes (one barely worn, and the other pair never worn), and even a designer handbag that had been used only a few times. They offered me $10 for one jacket, and nothing else. From there I took everything to Goodwill. While waiting for them to go through my stuff, I wandered around the store looking at their items. All of the items in my three bags were much better, and in better-looking shape, than what they had for sale in the store. Literally had the worst experience here. I came for thier fill a bag sale which i go to loyally to almost all locations and have been an uptown shopper for over 10 years. I did my purchase as normal showed my receipt to the girl at the door everything looked fine but when i went through a sensor went off. In taking the item (that I already paid for) to the front to take the sensor off i was told it was actually a full priced item that i was mischarged for. This is not my fault, the guy then said he had to call his manager who then told me my only choices were to return it (for no refund mind you) or pay full price. I told them no that its not my fault i wasn't charged properly, i literally already paid for the item and the receipt said ALL SALE FINAL in all caps bright red letter. This girl Amanda really tried to tell me i wasn't going to be taking the item home with me and when i tried to grab it and the receipt the guy almost didn't give it to me. I had to threaten to call the cops and then they almost kept my wallet which had fallen out while we had originally been looking for the sensor. Literally drove over an hr to come here and regret it. Definitely never going to this location again. Amanda needs to train her people better and when THEY make a mistake not hold the customer accountable or catch it at the register.
