Shopping I'd give a 4, but consigning I'd give a 2. Walked in the door carrying one black trash bag of items to consign and didn't even get a hello before the lady at the counter said that the bag was too big and counted as two bags and I couldn't bring anything else in that day. I literally come in once every 6-8 weeks, so not sure why I deserved a welcome like that. My previous visit back in November the worker actually said "are trying to ruin my vacation?" Because I suppose they didn't want too many clothes to review before the holiday. It was one bag. Not sure why they are so critical to the people literally bringing in all of the items they need to run a business. read more

Cotton Closet is amazing! I buy and consign so I am able to share my experiences from both sides of the fence. As a buyer, I appreciate that they turn over the store seasonally. When I'm ready to shop for the upcoming season this is my first stop. Everyone is friendly and able to help you find what your looking for. The clothes are in excellent condition. You can tell they take there time picking out clean and trendy items. Reasonable prices too! As a consigner I like their rules and I don't mind following them. I never know what they will or won't take. I'm willing drop off items not knowing what they will accept. I dont ask to pick up items they dont want. Instead I take advantage of their donation process. If they cant sell something you brought in, or if something hasn't sold in the store, they donate it to a local charity that helps women. They only consign women's clothes and a few household items. No mens, teen or childrens clothing. I've been a fan for over 10 years. I hope this review encourages you to visit. read more

Extremely disappointed with the new ownership and their employees. Their prices are outrageous now and they will literally talk sh!t right in front of you. I used to love shopping here and bringing my clothes for consignment. Cindy, the original owner, was amazing, had the best customer service and knew how to price clothes. Now it's just a sh!t show. My daughter couldn't even bring in her water into the store, they priced a plain old silver band ring for $50, sh!t I could go by that new for cheaper, their selection has gone down the drain, probably because people are not happy with management and their absurd policies with what you can bring in for consignment. I used to pick up a check every month and turn around and spend it all in the store. Since the new management, I have received one check for $20 dollars and I've brought in bags full on a month basis. Just crap crap crap. . . read more

I have been coming to this consignment shop for over ten years now. This place has changed. Mary I'm sure use to have a set of rules to follow. I'm saying the lady that now deals with the register & the lady who sorts threw the bags are both very rude. They don't have any customer service skills on how to talk to customers. Their tones and how they go about things make it to where I'd rather just go somewhere else for my business for consignment & shopping purposes. Found some great pieces for wardrobe here! I count on this place to find new-to-me and good condition clothes AND shoes. The shoes selection is excellent. The prices are decent. And it's easy to shop here because it's easier to look through the racks here compared to other resale or thrift places. And you can tell they move merchandise because there's new selection when I go back. Things get discounted pretty quickly. My only wish? That when I want to go on Mondays that I can but...they're closed that one day. But I totally understand needing at least one day to be closed! read more

I love Cotton Closet resale shop.!!!!.I have been going to them for years. The owner, Cindy, is always professional and welcoming, as well as her helpers. I have consigned clothes there in the past and always appreciated the extra money that resulted. Also, many die hard people go in there and shop as the clothes and brands are diverse and include regular to high end. Some of those same people are also amongst the consigners. Then the pricing is always so great that you leave there happy that you found so many quality choices at bargain prices. I stopped consigning awhile ago, as I no longer needed the money, but I will never stop shopping there. Great finds, great prices, and friendly helpful staff. Hats off to Cindy & Co!!!!! Four pieces of my clothing items were lost, stolen or misplaced at Cotton Closet. The owner, Andrea, said there was not a record of my items on the inventory list, therefore, I never brought in the items, which is totally not true. The store's organization system needs improvement; they place unwanted clothes to consign stacked inside of circular clothing racks and along the walls of the store, which makes it easily accessible for customers. I asked about the security system and there are only two cameras located at the front door and dressing room area. Andrea paid me for my items that did sell and I decided to never consign with the company due to poor customer service and missing clothes. Andrea said "I'm sorry this happened" and suggested I read the company contract since it states they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you consign with them, please take pictures of the clothing items they accept before leaving the store as proof you brought in your goods. I wish I did that. Lesson learned. read more

Love this little shop. The women working here are so wonderful. They really do an excellent job and it's a positive atmosphere. There is always bargains of nice clothing, handbags and much more. I've been shopping and consigning here for years and it's just a part of my routine at this point. They also donate to charity! I recently went to this store. The employees (owners?) are not the kind of people I want to do business with. For example, they apparently require you wear a mask in their store. I came in without one (must have missed the sign) and an employee immediately gave me one. Even though there is plenty of proof by now that masks are ineffective, I figured it's their store and if I want to shop there, I have to play along. As I was shopping, I overheard these women talking (it's a small store), I'm guessing it was a couple employees and a customer. In a nutshell, they were talking about customers that didn't want to wear a mask in their store so they told them "bye bye". Their tone was very flippant and unprofessional. In my short time there, I actually witnessed this very scenario. An employee brought a mask to a mask-less customer, she didn't take it and tried to explain that there are many studies that show masks do little to no good and could actually be harmful, etc. Guess what the response was. Yep - "bye bye". The business owner has the right to set their store policies but if they choose to be rude and unprofessional, they will continue to lose customers. read more
