Basic secondhand clothing was priced at $20+, with other pieces reaching $40, $60, and beyond. Even the toys seemed significantly overpriced. At those prices, I would expect a much more organized store and a considerably better shopping experience. What frustrated me the most happened at the very end. I asked the manager for my receipt, and she told me it was already in my bag. I specifically asked her TWICE because I never saw her put a receipt in there, and both times she insisted that it was in the bag. It honestly made me feel like I was being treated as if I couldn't see what had just happened right in front of me. Before I even left the store, I stepped to the side and went through the few items in my bag myself. There was no receipt. After insisting twice that she had put it in there, she then had me take a picture of the receipt from a screen instead. That was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. If you didn't put the receipt in my bag, just say that. Don't repeatedly tell a customer that you did when they're standing right there telling you they didn't receive it. I genuinely don't understand why this place was recommended to me. Between the poor customer service, lack of organization, excessive pricing for secondhand items, and the way the receipt situation was handled, I left extremely disappointed. I literally come in once every 6-8 weeks, so not sure why I deserved a welcome like that. My previous visit back in November the worker actually said "are trying to ruin my vacation?" However... as I was looking for a place to just lightly clean one of my late father's watches, I found my reception to be somewhat insensitive. My dad's watch is just an old beat up gold plated, 1961 Bulova. All I wanted was a light clean so I could wear it. I was told since it's not a "Rolex or Cartier" and that's all their watch guy works on, and I should just get a rag and lightly clean it myself. This watch was not about its monetary value, but the sentimental value. I know where not to take my Breitling--and his Rolex, should I ever need a repair. The guy behind the counter stating: "this is just gold plate" as if I didn't already know, was an absolute insult. I didn't ask fo an appraisal; I just wanted to wear the watch my dad wore when I was a child. I'm sure they do good work... but sometimes it's better to just say, "I'm sorry, we don't, but I recommend "business xx" for the service you're looking for." Instead of rubbing on the watch and basically saying, "we don't handle cheap watches." Just another reason I rarely go to downtown McKinney, even though I've lived here for more than 20 years.

One was a heavy handmade oak futon and the recliner I bought from here a couple years ago. Realistically I was thinking I'd pocket maybe $150-200. My check for 87 cents just arrived. No explanation or anything. 87 cents. I called twice to discuss (I wanted to know what the actual hell happened) but I've been told they aren't sure and that someone would call me. It's been three weeks. They have a slew of complaints on the BBB site. Should've checked. Just bought a power leather recliner from here for $279. Yes, it was used, but it is in great condition and 1/3 of the price of it new. Sales people were nothing but friendly and helpful and not pushy at all. Overall a great experience at a very clean store with really reasonable prices. They made sure to point out defects and be honest and that really speaks to the character of this place. The only thing I didn't like was that they hire out a third party mover to deliver, and it's $75 am hour with a minimum of one hour. I live two miles from here. Thank goodness I was able to get it in my Jeep. I'm not fond of third party movers and I think it's a little steep for delivery just down the road. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.
