I have lived in st Augustine for almost 20 years now..I have never in my life been so disappointed with food..I got a Philly steak sandwich and to read it on the menu, it sounded great..it was pitiful..the meat was ok, the peppers, onions and mushrooms were less than a tablespoon for the entire sandwich.. maybe covered 1/4 of it... terrible...you could also bring the oil out of the French fries...worst meal ever...I will do my best to tell as many people as I can how sorry it was...if I could have given them 0 stars I would have... sorry food especially for $12.. read more

We stopped for Lunch and were pleasantly surprised. They were set up for social distancing, even had dividers between the booths. The servers were wearing masks. Thank you. The food was over the top. I had the burger and I'm so happy I did, juicy, cooked correctly and delicious. My kids had wings and they were just right. What really amazed me was how low their prices are, when I asked the server why she said because they are trying to help the community and stay busy at the same time. My husband had the fried shrimp and the portion was good as was the quality. We will definitely be back, this could be our new favorite place. read more

Being new to the area and wanting some good wings we had been told that Dick's was the place to go. The service was good as she had recommendations on both the flavors (and heat)=of the wings, along with the ice cold beer on tap. My wife ordered the Applewood Honey BBQ and I got the General Dick's after being told they were nice and spicy and would impart some good heat. I also ordered a side of waffle fries with baked beans. The wings were nice and crisp with the Applewood having good flavor of both bbq sauce and smokiness. I was disappointed in the General Dick's though as . . . while they had good flavor . . . they did lack any 'heat.' On their menu they show you can get 'heat' for any flavor by ordering it to be spiced up . . . but going on the recommendation that there would already be 'heat,' simply ordered the wings expecting a decent 'bite,' which impress. Also . . . the baked beans were very disappointing in that they were very, very watery and thin. We may try Dick's again so I can see if it shapes up but I was somewhat disappointed after having received recommendations for the establishment. read more

My family and I stopped by this location for lunch today. My mom was extremely disappointed in her lunch salad, which was rather piddly in size and not worth $7.99. To make matters worse, our server did not inform us that an additional container of sauce would merit an additional charge; highly unprofessional on her part. The only reason I didn't give this a one star review is the fact that the chicken tenders were actually quite tasty. Biggest piece of advice: tell your servers that they are paid to attend to their customers, not to stand in a corner of the kitchen devouring steak fries while we wait for our measly portions of food. read more

Food was really good. Bunch of flavors, but landed on the Redneck and Mango habanero Buffalo wings. Waitress was nice and patient trying to explain the somewhat confusing menu. Pick flavor then heat but flavors showed heat also. Other wing spots will give option to split flavors (based on wing count) without cost. Great neighborhood sports spot. Great drink specials! They actually keep an eye on whats on their TV's, which seems to be forgotten at other sports bars. Their food quality was unexpectedly impressive. Daily Specials and the usual awesome wings. The boneless chicken, was actually chicken! Delicious with a great selection of sauces. Not a good place for wings.. Wings are so small and "chinsy". I got a specialty flavor for my wings, margarita girl, and it tasted like normal wing sauce. Not worth the price either. I would maybe go for their nacho waffle fries which looked really good. Buffalo Wild Wings and Hurricanes has much better wings!! Ranch and blue cheese dip is not homemade.. Friends got a text that they would be open till 4:00pm. Granted it's the Saturday before hurricane Irma. With that being said we walked in and the waitress barked we close in 20 mins , it was I little before 3. Went out to smoke and they had changed the sign on the door to say they are closing at 3:00 if I was this owner knowing I may be closed for several days without power I would certainly want to sell what could perish. Dude....what can I say. An awesome place to sit and have a drink. The food is reliable..wings and nachos are through the roof good. Bartender is alot of fun and its busy but not overcrowded. This would be a great place for a restaurant and bar. When you walk in you see the huge TVs that should have sports and sporting events playing, but instead... Here at dicks Republican headquarters all you see is fox news and have to actually ask the bartenders to change the channel from FOXNews to watch the spurs and the heat game. Came to Florida from California on vacation. My boyfriend was in the mood for wings and Dicks wings popped up. We thought we would give it a try. We sat down in a nice booth and the server took or order for drinks, following the order for food. It took about 15 minutes to get food, pretty fast. I rate this place 2 stars because the only good thing about this place is the nice booths and atmosphere. The server was very quiet and seemed like she did not want to be at work. She also mixed up my check with my boyfriends friend and sort of mixed up our payment. The food was average and wings were very overdressed with sauce. You win some you lose some. Dick's Wings RULES! This is the second location to open up in St. Augustine, the other being on SR 16. This is a great spot for those living on the southside of the oldest city, especially for the folks in the Shores. This recently opened up in the location where Mango Mango's used to be. Stopped in with a buddy to have some wings, beer, and watch some NFL playoffs, and we had a blast! Really impressed with the size of this place, large open dining room, and a good sized bar, with plenty of tables available if you don't want to sit at the actual bar. There's even a game room for the kids! But let's get down to business- it's all about the wings here. They have 365 different varieties, different rubs, different spices, different flavors- great selection. The menu is fairly helpful at picking out what kind of flavor you're after, and what kind of heat you like on your wings. They range from mild to melt your tongue, and the flavors run from smoky to sweet to asian and more. The servers are really helpful in picking out what kind of wings you may like, and if you can't decide- they have lots of different sampler platters- we went with the 25 wing platter, and you get five wings in five different flavors. Mix up different rubs and sauces, you're sure to find something you like. All our wings were great- spicy, sweet, meaty, and delicious. In case you're not a wing person, they also have lots of different sandwiches, wraps, and burgers, which all looked pretty tasty coming out of the kitchen. The wings are definitely the star here, so I can't see myself ordering anything else when I come in, but you never know... I also liked that this place has a full on bar on site. So in case you're not wanting to get a pitcher of beer, you can order up a margarita, daiquiri, or whatever else floats your boat. Service was great, our server was the man, and a few other servers stopped by the table to make sure we were okay during our meal. The place got pretty packed, and I can imagine it will be a madhouse on college football Saturdays. Overall- had a great time here. Like some others we have had issues in the past, however they have improved tremendously. We started going there for trivia night, and figured we would "put up with " the food. This was HORRIBLE. From the dirty sticky tables and menus to the server who put the icing on the cake. I am new to town and wanted try this place and boy was I let down. The server (Melissa) who chose to not tell us her name and the only way I know her name is because it was on the bill. So she had zero personality, knew absolutely nothing about the wing flavors, and gave an all around bad experience. The tables were sticky and menus were covered in so much grease. The boneless wings weren't even boneless wings the were chicken tenders cut up and rolled in two very lackluster sauce. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A WING PLACE EVER AGAIN. read more

My star is purely for the wings. They were good. Always have been. Don't order the "Extreme Nachos" They claim to have listed ingredients but the only thing found in them were chips, shredded cheese and lettuce on top. Salsa, jalapeños, sour cream, all on the side. They said there was chili in it; we did find a couple chili beans in it. We asked to have it sent back and we decided it wasn't worth the $10.99. Then the manager/owner proceeded to bring us the bill. Our food order still hadn't even made it to the table. We noticed some cost cutting here since we used to visit. The food isn't fancy, but it's always tasty. I've been going here for trivia on Thursday nights for over a year, and the crowd varies some. The service staff are always considerate- as best they can be with some nights being slower and others being much busier. The Cajun ranch sauce is my favorite for wings, but the Smokey Mountain Gold is good too. read more

The bartenders are good when they are there,..... often there is no bartender and sometimes no one servicing the tables. Oh, well. Service is good when they are there, though, I'll give them that, and the food and drinks are good when you get them. It's just an organizational thing. We have been steady customers for quite some time. But buyer beware of their bate and switch coupon specials. They really need to reword their coupon, since the owner/manager honors the (DRINK), portion of the coupon, whatever seems fit to her mood. The wings are always good. But the fresh, fried mushrooms, the last couple of time were black and mushy, and they use to be incredible. If you place a take out order, and (Dicks) house salad is part of your order, don't be surprised, if you get a small 5x5 take out box, for 4.29, when a (SIDE) salad is 2.79, which is on the menu.
