We've patronized this wing place on and off for over 4 years now and each orders quality is always a crap shoot; you just can never predict what the quality of your meal will be. On average 8 out of 10 orders are extremely dissapointing. Today's meal was the last straw. We always ask for the wings to be well fried because if you say nothing you'll likely receive undercooked, slimy and rubbery wings which isn't healthy for anyone. Tonight we were extremely concerned about the outcome of our order because the details of the order needed to be reviewed with the person who took the order 3 times! My husband looked in the takeout box and sure enough the wings were undercooked. He asked to receive an order of wings that were well fried. They clearly placed the same wings already covered with seasoning sauce back into the oil which basically ended in very burnt seasoning sauce as depicted here (see pic) with the same old undercooked wings under the burnt surface. Clearly they know nothing about the basics of frying food. We've always requested well fried wings, not burnt seasoning sauce! We have spent enough money on their garbage. Maybe others that don't notice have had extra rounds of beer which makes everything more palatable but if you're sober stay far away. We've requested a refund and their response is pending. To anyone in the restaurant business who knows how to fry chicken please open a place in Saint Augustine cuz you'll make a killing cuz there's no competition..... PLEASE! read more

Dick's Wings & Grill - St. Augustine - Burnt seasoning sauce!!! - Salad Near Me - St. Augustine, Florida

My first time eating at this restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. I chose the "Victory Lane" Wings for lunch. The wings were VERY good! I added some waffle fries to compliment my meal and they hit the spot!!! I recommend checking this place out! read more

On my last visit here I got Food Poisoning. Had the Philly Wrap, Others had the wings. Things like this happen, However I can not remain quiet about how awful I have felt today. Will never be able to bring myself to eat here again. If you have ever experienced food poisoning you know how serious it is. read more

Kara is the best! So is Florida girl wings. The fried green tomatoes are alright. My kids and I had a good lunch.

Big Dog and I eat at Dicks Wings every couple of weeks. Today Kara gave us excellent friendly service and as usual Sally Mae did an outstanding job managing the restaurant. read more

I have lived in st Augustine for almost 20 years now..I have never in my life been so disappointed with food..I got a Philly steak sandwich and to read it on the menu, it sounded great..it was pitiful..the meat was ok, the peppers, onions and mushrooms were less than a tablespoon for the entire sandwich.. maybe covered 1/4 of it... terrible...you could also bring the oil out of the French fries...worst meal ever...I will do my best to tell as many people as I can how sorry it was...if I could have given them 0 stars I would have... sorry food especially for $12.. read more

Great place with great new owners. Love the fresh wings and the prime rib sandwich. Bartenders are very attentive and servers are nice. Fun stuff too. Corn hold on Mondays. Bingo on Tuesdays. Tons of televisions for sports. Can't go wrong with this place. read more

We stopped for Lunch and were pleasantly surprised. They were set up for social distancing, even had dividers between the booths. The servers were wearing masks. Thank you. The food was over the top. I had the burger and I'm so happy I did, juicy, cooked correctly and delicious. My kids had wings and they were just right. What really amazed me was how low their prices are, when I asked the server why she said because they are trying to help the community and stay busy at the same time. My husband had the fried shrimp and the portion was good as was the quality. We will definitely be back, this could be our new favorite place. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon Dicks Wings last night and we are glad we did. The menu has tons more to offer than we thought it would. We had wings as an appetizer and they were perfect. The heat and the flavor were just right. For our main course I had the Rueben sandwich, it had lots of delicious corned beef and the bread was toasted like I like it. My husband had the Flounder dinner, we had no idea a wing place could make such yummy blackened fish and it came with 2 sides. The service was great, they are all wearing face masks but yet still seem to smile with their eyes. Thanks Dicks, we look forward to coming back soon read more

Not a good place for wings.. Wings are so small and "chinsy". I got a specialty flavor for my wings, margarita girl, and it tasted like normal wing sauce. Not worth the price either. I would maybe go for their nacho waffle fries which looked really good. Buffalo Wild Wings and Hurricanes has much better wings!! Ranch and blue cheese dip is not homemade.. They're served in little dressing cups. Hope this review helps. read more

Being new to the area and wanting some good wings we had been told that Dick's was the place to go. The service was good as she had recommendations on both the flavors (and heat)=of the wings, along with the ice cold beer on tap. My wife ordered the Applewood Honey BBQ and I got the General Dick's after being told they were nice and spicy and would impart some good heat. I also ordered a side of waffle fries with baked beans. The wings were nice and crisp with the Applewood having good flavor of both bbq sauce and smokiness. I was disappointed in the General Dick's though as . . . while they had good flavor . . . they did lack any 'heat.' On their menu they show you can get 'heat' for any flavor by ordering it to be spiced up . . . but going on the recommendation that there would already be 'heat,' simply ordered the wings expecting a decent 'bite,' which impress. Also . . . the baked beans were very disappointing in that they were very, very watery and thin. We may try Dick's again so I can see if it shapes up but I was somewhat disappointed after having received recommendations for the establishment. read more

Great neighborhood sports spot. Great drink specials! They actually keep an eye on whats on their TV's, which seems to be forgotten at other sports bars. Their food quality was unexpectedly impressive. Daily Specials and the usual awesome wings. The boneless chicken, was actually chicken! Delicious with a great selection of sauces. Most importantly, the bartenders were ultra friendly and fun. More than a typical franchise. read more

My family and I stopped by this location for lunch today. My mom was extremely disappointed in her lunch salad, which was rather piddly in size and not worth $7.99. To make matters worse, our server did not inform us that an additional container of sauce would merit an additional charge; highly unprofessional on her part. The only reason I didn't give this a one star review is the fact that the chicken tenders were actually quite tasty. Biggest piece of advice: tell your servers that they are paid to attend to their customers, not to stand in a corner of the kitchen devouring steak fries while we wait for our measly portions of food. read more

Our party ordered several different flavors of boneless wings. The wings were tough and chewy and were Luke warm at best. We were all pretty disappointed. read more

Cold food, long wait times and a manager who acts like she is doing us a favor by removing cold items from our tab????? How is this place open? Must not be many other choices around. Sad read more

Food was really good. Bunch of flavors, but landed on the Redneck and Mango habanero Buffalo wings. Waitress was nice and patient trying to explain the somewhat confusing menu. Pick flavor then heat but flavors showed heat also. Other wing spots will give option to split flavors (based on wing count) without cost. With so many options I'd figure it would have been available. Not the case here. read more

Service was good - attentive. Got 10 wings with the Smoky Mountain Gold and a Yuengling Draft to wash 'em down. Very tasty. If you go Thursday night, reserve a table 'cause it's Trivia Nation Night and the place is usually packed. Fun and good food! read more

The cleanest restaurant friendly people love the food always eat there my favorite.

Horrible service. The staff just stood in the corner and tried to avoid doing their job. Messed up my order all 3 times I've been. You are essential paying for flavored bones. I like my wings meaty. read more

Friends got a text that they would be open till 4:00pm. Granted it's the Saturday before hurricane Irma. With that being said we walked in and the waitress barked we close in 20 mins , it was I little before 3. Went out to smoke and they had changed the sign on the door to say they are closing at 3:00 if I was this owner knowing I may be closed for several days without power I would certainly want to sell what could perish. And certainly want to generate as much money as I could before the unknown happens. Haven't even ate yet. I'll update as needed read more

Great family atmosphere and good food. Pretty quick service. Wings are really good here, you want be disappointed.

Dude....what can I say. An awesome place to sit and have a drink. The food is reliable..wings and nachos are through the roof good. Bartender is alot of fun and its busy but not overcrowded. Oh, by the way, the owner is a Pats fan from Mass so come in and appreciate it or diss it....Either way, a cool place to relax. Love it...my new bar! read more

Very good wings! We bought a combination of grilled and fried wings. The grilled wings were a little burnt however the flavor was good. The garlic parmesan were really good. Will visit again. read more

Love their food and they have great service. Everyone makes you feel welcomed and I highly recommend this place.

Just stopped by for a salad to go it was amazing! Refteshing crisp ingredients topped with perfectly grilled chicken. Sarah's service was wonderful and I will definitely be back....gotta support our local businesses as much as possible in these trying times and this one is a gem! read more

This would be a great place for a restaurant and bar. When you walk in you see the huge TVs that should have sports and sporting events playing, but instead... Here at dicks Republican headquarters all you see is fox news and have to actually ask the bartenders to change the channel from FOXNews to watch the spurs and the heat game. I can handle the rednecks but at a sports bar you expect some sports. read more

Came to Florida from California on vacation. My boyfriend was in the mood for wings and Dicks wings popped up. We thought we would give it a try. We sat down in a nice booth and the server took or order for drinks, following the order for food. It took about 15 minutes to get food, pretty fast. I rate this place 2 stars because the only good thing about this place is the nice booths and atmosphere. The server was very quiet and seemed like she did not want to be at work. She also mixed up my check with my boyfriends friend and sort of mixed up our payment. The food was average and wings were very overdressed with sauce. You win some you lose some. Will definitely not be coming back. read more

Dick's Wings RULES! This is the second location to open up in St. Augustine, the other being on SR 16. This is a great spot for those living on the southside of the oldest city, especially for the folks in the Shores. This recently opened up in the location where Mango Mango's used to be. Stopped in with a buddy to have some wings, beer, and watch some NFL playoffs, and we had a blast! Really impressed with the size of this place, large open dining room, and a good sized bar, with plenty of tables available if you don't want to sit at the actual bar. There's even a game room for the kids! But let's get down to business- it's all about the wings here. They have 365 different varieties, different rubs, different spices, different flavors- great selection. The menu is fairly helpful at picking out what kind of flavor you're after, and what kind of heat you like on your wings. They range from mild to melt your tongue, and the flavors run from smoky to sweet to asian and more. The servers are really helpful in picking out what kind of wings you may like, and if you can't decide- they have lots of different sampler platters- we went with the 25 wing platter, and you get five wings in five different flavors. Mix up different rubs and sauces, you're sure to find something you like. All our wings were great- spicy, sweet, meaty, and delicious. In case you're not a wing person, they also have lots of different sandwiches, wraps, and burgers, which all looked pretty tasty coming out of the kitchen. The wings are definitely the star here, so I can't see myself ordering anything else when I come in, but you never know... I also liked that this place has a full on bar on site. So in case you're not wanting to get a pitcher of beer, you can order up a margarita, daiquiri, or whatever else floats your boat. Service was great, our server was the man, and a few other servers stopped by the table to make sure we were okay during our meal. The place got pretty packed, and I can imagine it will be a madhouse on college football Saturdays. Overall- had a great time here. The wings were awesome, beer cold, great service, and clean restrooms. I will definitely have to swing on over to the 16 location and try that one as well. Definitely recommended. read more

Like some others we have had issues in the past, however they have improved tremendously. We started going there for trivia night, and figured we would "put up with " the food. We were very surprised at the changes. I usually get the flounder sandwich and my wife the Gyro both are excellent. read more

The service has been very disappointing since they reopened here. Last night was our fourth or fifth try and it will be our last.

My star is purely for the wings. They were good. Always have been. Don't order the "Extreme Nachos" They claim to have listed ingredients but the only thing found in them were chips, shredded cheese and lettuce on top. Salsa, jalapeños, sour cream, all on the side. They said there was chili in it; we did find a couple chili beans in it. We asked to have it sent back and we decided it wasn't worth the $10.99. Then the manager/owner proceeded to bring us the bill. Our food order still hadn't even made it to the table. We noticed some cost cutting here since we used to visit. Kid meal burgers are now smaller sliders. Kid meal wings are now 3 instead of 5. Also, check out Buffalo Wild Wings and see how they don't upcharge you for: More celery Extra sauce What's next? Too many napkins? We will not be back. read more

This was HORRIBLE. From the dirty sticky tables and menus to the server who put the icing on the cake. I am new to town and wanted try this place and boy was I let down. The server (Melissa) who chose to not tell us her name and the only way I know her name is because it was on the bill. So she had zero personality, knew absolutely nothing about the wing flavors, and gave an all around bad experience. The tables were sticky and menus were covered in so much grease. The boneless wings weren't even boneless wings the were chicken tenders cut up and rolled in two very lackluster sauce. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A WING PLACE EVER AGAIN. read more

The food isn't fancy, but it's always tasty. I've been going here for trivia on Thursday nights for over a year, and the crowd varies some. The service staff are always considerate- as best they can be with some nights being slower and others being much busier. The Cajun ranch sauce is my favorite for wings, but the Smokey Mountain Gold is good too. read more

Great food and awesome service. Best wings in town!!! Cold beer and drink specials
