This location inside of the Cerritos mall is quite big. Two stories both a decent size. Everything is well organized and the staff is friendly and ready to help whenever. I was disappointed in how old and dirty the restrooms were. Someone clearly isn't checking on them enough. The girls restroom had paper towels, seat covers, and toilet paper all over the floors. The mirrors were dirty and had scratches on them. And the soap dispenser was broken and being held up by multiple pieces of tape. I'm sure it can't be that hard of a fix. My boyfriend also said the men's restroom was gross and was out of toilet paper in both stalls. read more

This store looks amazing on the outside. Great job... But once you step inside, it's a completely different story. First impression is that this store is very dirty. I mean I'm looking for hats and there is So much dust everywhere. Disgusting. The white hats are lined with dust. Really sad guys! Then there is trash all over the place. I mean not like burger wrappers, but paper all over the merchandise and the floors. Was there a blow out sale right before I got here? Really bad presentation. As others have said, customer service sucks. I usually only go her for fishing. Selection for fishing is meh. Usually same selection and NOT restocked I swear! I usually come here for weights, sometimes picking up a rod. The rod I saw from 3 months ago is still on the shelf and damaged. When I asked if they have any others I got the "whatcha see is what we got" Not really organized with all their tackle. I usually have to find the tag of the item I pick. Weight selection would be good if they actually restock them. I get me 10+ ounce weights here but unfortunately whenever I come by they're always a jumbled up mess and nothing I want is available. About two weeks ago I put some heavy weights in the opposite corner of the shelf to see if they arrange or restock and nope. All 3 3lb weights were where I left them. The store was practically empty and there were three sales people in the shoe dept., however it was like pulling teeth to get them to bring me shoes to try on. Every other shoe I asked for they didn't have in stock. The ones that they did bring took forever... they acted like I was putting them out. Came here to get an estimate on fixing a bicycle. Now this was the first Dicks I had been to in California and i must say the first thing you notice is "IT IS BIG", 2 stories big. Second thing i notice, no one to ask where to go or directory to help guide us. After searching out a staffer we were directed to the second floor. When we arrived a staffer was already helping another customer so we waited off to the side. SADLY no acknowledgment that we were there and a moment later the employee left with the customer and again no acknowledgment. Figuring he would be back shortly me and my group decided to check out some.of the bikes. We were wrong. After waiting 15 - 20 minutes 2 of us decided to split off to find a staffer and wouldn't you know it that's exactly when he came back. The employee gave my friend a quote, nothing more nothing less. So no complaints here but no praises either. On a side note -the bike selection was moderate and priced to match -the bike services felt generic and things you could look up online to DIY -i would recommend a smaller (mom n pop) shop to get staff that may be more passionate about fixing/selling you a bike read more

Me and my son went to Dicks Sporting Goods to get a workout half rack and a cold weather coat or jacket for extreme cold weather and snow but to our surprise they didn't have anything but a few wind breaker type of material jackets which is very surprising considering all other sporting stores are carrying lots of them. I ended finding a jacket at Big 5 Sporting Good they had a ton of jackets in stock for the winter and they have small stores but use every inch of the square footage to sell items. There was allot of unused open space all over Dicks sporting store upstairs and down. For a very large store they carry a very small selection of items except for baseball stuff they're ok in that department. I used to shop here when it first opened and even had the store card but after the first year of watching the store go downhill and not being able to get help in the store I decided to pay off my card and close my account. I have been here multiple times and have never been greeted or said good bye too, I also have had an extremely hard time trying to find help when looking throughout the store. Spent over $600 today, bought a yeti cooler, 8 person tent, and other accessories. Due to the elevator not working this made it very difficult for one person to make a larger purchase alone as I had to be up and down the escalators carrying heavy items multiple times. I could have avoided that because I knew I would be buying multiple things so I first bought the blow up mattress, and asked the cashier if I could leave my purchases behind the registers on that long empty counter so I could just make one trip to the car, the manager said unfortunately due to space they could not accommodate that request. CMON, the whole counter is unused and I asked very politely explaining because no elevator and I'm alone carrying everything. But no. When I was carrying the "65" yeti cooler with things inside to purchase it was very heavy and about 5 associates saw me struggling and never offered to help. The lack of customer service is shocking, don't you want to make it easy for people to spend more money here? You did everything possible to make it very difficult for me and this whole experience was frustrating as I was sweating and struggling to get everything in as few trips as possible. Dicks in Cerritos has one of the biggest selections of equipment for any sport and their employees are very knowledgable on their products. My son needed a new bat and they really listened to what he wanted and they had him test several before he decided on what he wanted. The prices are great as well. Aside from bats we also looked at catchers equipment for my youngest and being that he is on the small side they found the perfect size for him which he can you for the next couple of years. Here's hoping he doesn't go through a major growth spurt as he will be turning nine soon. Again the employee had him try on a couple before we found the suitable size for him. I gotta say it is really pleasant going somewhere where you are provided with great service. Don't get me wrong, it's there &, yes, ready for purchase if in a crunch. Grabbed some basketball gear for my baby boy. He was very excited about the selection. As for me, I ended up getting myself a volleyball and sparring gloves. Pricey, yes, but I loved the quality and options. After purchasing a pair of goggles from Dicks sporting goods here in Cerritos in January (TYR black ops) they began to fog up during every use. Now after speaking to a sales person in this store, they suggested I purchase the anti fog spray for them and assured me that would fix my issues. I purchased the anti fog spray they recommended and still have that issue, I tried to return the goggles and they told me that since I paid cash and didn't have my receipt I could no longer return or exchange them and I should contact the manufacturer. After talking to the manufacturer and explaining my issue they referred me to Dicks sporting goods once again and contact a manager. I spoke with Francesca (French) who told me to bring the goggles in for a no receipt return and get some credit back towards a new pair of goggles. I should add that her customer service is very poor, doesn't seem to like to deal with questions or returns. Well I did just that, I drove 30 mins to see if they could assist me and after talking to the assistant manager Peter all Dicks Sporting goods could offer was $2.75 cents and a brand new pair of defective goggles they sold me just about two months ago now for over $30. I know $30 isn't a lot for many of you out there but it adds up really quickly when I'm here often buying athletic clothes, shoes and camping gear. This new location at Los Cerritos center is easy to get to, has its own lot, has a HUGE selection and great customer service. We came here to get workout clothes for my wife, matching Nike basketball shoes for my 2 year old and Clipper swag for all of us. We ended up meeting the "Jordon (Air Jordan) specialist." They didn't have the matching Blue Nikes for my son, but he hooked us up with black toddler Jordan's and black CP3's for me...so we basically matched. My son and I got matching CP3 road black jerseys and my wife and daughter got matching red t-shirts. While the toddler gear was sparse, they still had a good selection of team wear. And the shoes...well, let's just say a whole section and staff member devoted to Jordan's... Enough said. This company does not understand the concept of customer service. I ordered an item this AM for curbside pickup. When I arrived it was a floor model and missing pieces. I ordered it again from another store 20 miles away. On my way there I got an email saying my order was cancelled. Even though they indicated it was in stock it wasn't. Then I contacted customer service via Chat and the CSR told me they would ship it to me and contact me within 20 minutes. They contacted me but to tell me they would not ship it. Wasted hours of my day. This company deserves NO STARS and I would avoid doing business with them at all costs. read more

This store sells used and damaged goods! I came in here today looking for a down jacket and was happy to find that the Patagonia ones were on sale 50% off. There were only two left and one of them I liked. But then I took a closer look and the jacket didn't have the original tag meaning it was a return. Then I check the neck and the sleeves and they're dirty. Okay so I tell myself if they give me an additional discount I might be okay with it depending on how much the discount is. The cashier offered me 15% off which was not acceptable and so I ask him to call his manager. A woman with light purple/pink hair comes and they talk and she confirms she can't do more than 15%. But while they talk I find a tear in the jacket! I'm definitely not buying it. I wanted to support this company after their stance against selling assault rifles but this experience left a bad taste. I went to have new grips put on golf clubs. The young man who worked with me was very nice and helpful and called me when clubs were done and I could pick up. When I arrived the associate could not find the clubs and called someone. No one came. The associate said she needed a key to closet and was not authorized to have the key. Then the associate left and never returned. I waited longer then walked across the store and asked an associate at cash register to help me. She said she was busy. I asked her to call store manager to which she said she was store manager (all with no sorry or offer to call someone else). After about a 30 min wait a different associate came and unlicked closet and gave me my clubs. He did apologize for my wait. Not one of these people knew the name of person who helped me in morning. There is absolutely no chance I would have clubs griped here by again and doubt I will shop store again. This is a huge sporting goods store that is located at the Los Cerritos Center, aka Cerritos Mall. There is an entrance from the back parking lot near Cheesecake Factory and another inside the mall between Macy's and Red Robin. Being a huge store, you can expect a huge selection of sporting goods and sportswear. Sections of the store include swimwear and summer gear, shoes, sports apparel, golf, bikes, kayaks, archery, rifles (hunting), fishing, and exercise equipment and apparel. Dick's also offers a complimentary rewards program called Scorecard through which you can earn 3% back in rewards. This system also allows you to store receipts in the system so that you never lose them! My only complain is was that no one was around to help me when I spent a good 15 minutes looking for beach/swimwear that we need for our upcoming cruise to the Bahamas. When you checkout online and pay at the end it ONLY counts as a DEPOSIT... then when it ships they charge you the FULL amount AGAIN... their disclaimer is you get refunded the original deposit in 3-5 business days... they did not disclose they were going to charge me twice and then refund half the amount... besides deposits are not supposed to be the full amount!! This is the WORST buying experience EVER. I ordered a badminton set online for pickup in store and never ended up picking it up. When I called the store, I was told that there was nothing they could do since it was an online order and that I'd have to contact customer service in order to get it cancelled (keep in mind, she was pretty rude to begin with and sounded like she didn't know what she was doing). I contacted customer service, as advised, and was advised that there was NOTHING that they could do since it's not an option in their system. She mentioned that the order should've cancelled itself after 4 days if it wasn't picked up (at this point, it was already 12 days). I was then told to go to the store to pick up and return. The rep also lectured me on how it wasn't up to her and it's not like she wasn't trying to do her job (completely unnecessary). She also spoke over me the entire time. So now it's day 15, I finally go into the store. I entered in my information in the pick up kiosk and sure enough, my order popped up. I wait in line so that I could be ready to do the return. I don't get to the front until 7 minutes later and my order still hasn't come out. The cashier (who was extremely nice and helpful) called a manager on duty to help with the cancellation. The guy takes down my order number and walks away to "figure it out." Another 10 minutes go by and now, I'm beyond irritated. I end up telling the cashier thanks but I'm leaving. I don't know what the deal is with this company but I'm definitely not recommending Dick's to anyone. This is completely unacceptable. read more
