My son wants a treadmill for his birthday, the Horizon T101. I called Dick's and talked to someone in that department. I arrived at Dick's and had to walk upstairs because only the DOWN elevator was working. My poor knee. My phone credited me with 2 flights. Then I saw the elevator. The person who wanted to assist me was at lunch, so I was told to go back down and pay at the register. The line was very short. Dick's matched the Horizon online price and saved me $50. They arranged for delivery and setup in 2 days!! That was also less than the online price. My son is excited and it should arrive tomorrow morning. They have $10 rewards here. 3/24/24, I came to this store at 10:30am, 30 minutes after it opened. There were already several customers in the store by this time and only two cashiers in the front near the outside door entrance. I really needed a floor employee to help answer a question that I had about trying to look for some long athletic causal loose fitting sweat pants that I had previously bought at Dick's about two years ago, but there were no employees at all to find working on the floor. What a shame! I looked around the store for 30 minutes at most of the clothing for men but never saw any employee out on the floor. The prices at Dick's is higher than most stores. The clearance items are generally pathetic items that nobody would really buy unless they want to wear poor quality dull Chinese looking attire. The nice looking attire is never put onto a clearance rack and are never discounted in price. I looked at some running shorts that I really wanted to purchase even at $55, but I wanted ones with a pocket zipper. The last thing you want to happen is jogging and your keys, ID, or cell phone falls out of these small pockets because things in the pockets bounce around a lot when running or jogging. So no zipper pockets, no purchase from me. I have to give this store a 1 star mainly because there was no staff to help out the customers. The two cashiers at the register were simply too busy ringing up the early bird customers. read more

Dirty, not a very helpful manager... was with my little sis picking out some snow gear when I stepped on a security tag, it pricked through my shoe and hurt my foot. When I got to speak with the manager even after seeing how upset I was, all he said "unfortunately this happens all the time, customer take off tags". This location was clean, neat, and organized. Inventory levels were exceptional, and visual merchandising was perfectly executed. Staff levels were low, and staffing seemed rushed. We were not greeted by any member of staff. I went to this location specifically to purchase shoes for myself and wife that I had already researched online. Footwear was busy, with approximately 20-30 costumers. I used the kiosk to notify an associate that I wanted two pairs of shoes, and while waiting I noticed that there was only one associate in footwear. The kiosk was convenient and extremely easy to use. I patiently waited for 15-20 minutes before searching for an associate that wasn't busy, however I was unable to find one. I just wanted to pick up and purchase my footwear. Finally, the one lonely associate in footwear who was helping 20-30 customers was able to help me. I verified shoe size and color, she went to the stockroom and delivered my request, and I left. I paid $389 with the friendly cashier and left. As a retail/merchandise manager I was impressed by the kiosk! Now if staffing levels can be slightly increased to meet the kiosk demand, I am certain your footwear category sales will increase. read more

I utilized their curbside pick up during Covid and it was very convenient. They have dedicated spots that are clearly labeled and lots of directions. On my visit they were so speedy when bringing out my order I was a bit surprised. But you can either open your trunk or roll down a backseat window and they'll place your item there. My items were small enough that they were visible through a clear bag so it worked out great. I've been in store before and they have quite a selection but you know what you want this would be a great option for a quick pick up. read more

Experience's truly matter to me since moving back to the Los Angeles area from OC. I was in love with how Emnormous Dick's is 2 floors, loved the batting cage they had a 6 year old being fitted for a bat he was able to hit balls within a netted area all safe. As I watched in awe how the employee worked with this customer and his son. I'm all for #humankindness He was so patient as he tried certain bats that fit his needs. Made me wanna go get fitted for a bat myself. Wish I knew the employees name. I walked in search of 2 things happy I walked out with all but 1 thing. I went in looking for a Wenzel Shenanigan 5 person tent they had none in store. I walked over to the golf department meet Randy ! What another great employee. Randy happily helped me with ordering my tent same time indulged me in explaining there golf area where you can go swing a few if interested in a club or clubs. I have never walked into a sporting goods store that was so impeccable in every since. Store was well maintained , sanitizer throughout the store , bathrooms were spotless. Only thing I wish Dick's had one day sales like some of there competitors like big 5 sporting goods. There us are parking here not to worry. Dick's has a small area of products for camping not much but I'd hope to see it grow. I want to say I give 5 stars for my experience at Dick's while shopping and to thee employees who assisted me. Wow! They did it to me again! This time, the sign for the Gatorade Gx water bottle said $12.99, but they charged me $19.99 on the receipt. These water bottles were near the cashiers in the large black wire crates (last minute shopper stuff to look at while you're in line). Of course I didn't take a pic of the price on the sign! I don't think I have ever been so angry with an employee of a store ever. I purchased cleats for my son from Dick's Sporting Goods on December 1st of 2021. I wanted to be ready for the upcoming baseball season. My son is 11 years old. I specifically stated to the employee that I needed plastic cleats, not metal. He showed me a metallic gold and white pair of Adidas cleats. I thought my son would love them (he did). He has worn them during his little league games. Other teams accused us of cheating and stated that they were metal spikes. I told them that the employee at Dick's Sporting Goods said they were plastic, so they are good. The coach of my son's team put a magnet to the cleat. They stuck. Uh oh! They are metal! I went back to the store today on March 22, 2021 to return the cleats. The only reason why I bought these cleats was because the employee told me they were plastic cleats. I spoke with the manager and she informed me that she would be unable to replace the cleats because it had been too long. She essentially called me a liar multiple times. She also let me know that they had no plastic cleats in stock. I asked her what I should do? She said that there was nothing she could do. Great customer service! First, you call me a liar. Then, there is nothing you can do! I was PISSED! I have NEVER yelled in a store or even swore once in a store. I YELLED at the top of my lungs "I FUCKING HATE DICK'S SPORTING GOODS multiple times. She threatened to kick me out and never let me come back to the store. Keep in mind, I bought my son's $260 baseball glove, $175 Brooks running shoes for me, $150 baseball bat, $120 cleats, $80 golf shoes for me within the past year. Dick's Sporting Goods is trash & the Cerritos location is its flagship. I made a horrible mistake in trying to return/exchange some shoes on a Saturday afternoon. There had to be 40-50 people in the shoe department waiting to either get a shoe size or trying on shoes. While waiting, I immediately assessed that only 2 employees were working the entire shoe department (which is as big as most shoe stores). As I waited for someone to help me, I actually saw and heard another Dick's employee walk over to one of the two shoe department employees ( who was clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers waiting) say, are you the only one here? The shoe department employee replied, no, he's in the back getting shoes. The other employee looked around, shook her head, and walked away. Unfortunately, this is typical behavior of the employees of the Cerritos location. More often than not, employees walk around trying to look busy. Also, you'd be hard-pressed to identify any management. I felt bad for those two kids because they clearly need help, and they never got it. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, I never got my shoe size, and I'm going to assume neither did a lot of others patiently waiting. I walked around to see if the rest of the store was as bad as the shoe department, and surprisingly it wasn't. There were literally employees at the front of the store not doing anything but standing around laughing and joking with one another. Unfortunately, Sports Chalet and Sports Authority aren't around anymore because Dick's has gotten comfortable with no real competition. However, I don't see them being around much longer either with the horrible customer service, high price point for goods, and lack of management at their stores. read more

I purchased a large and heavy gym equipment and used the curbside pickup option on New Year's Day. I was expecting chaos and long wait times due to the holidays and possibly shortness of staff but was pleasantly surprised by my entire experience. I purchased online and ordered curbside and received my text that my order was ready for pickup in less than 30 minutes from the time of purchase. I arrived and parked in one of the curbside parking stalls and checked in online. There was a young lady who was delivering to another customer and acknowledged my order within 5 minutes if my arrival that someone is working on my order but that it would take slightly longer due to needing 2 staff to deliver. That was very professional of her and totally understandable that it would take a bit longer. 2 young employees greeted me and delivered my order even putting onto my truck. The total wait time was probably less than 20 minutes and a very pleasant experience. read more

AMAZING store, this is the best location I've ever been to. Two story with escalator and elevators and it has its own entrance to the store aside from entering from the mall. They've got everything at this location. BUT the bathrooms were unkept. It almost looked like someone intentionally went and threw toilet paper on the floor. This could have been a five star location had it not been for the bathrooms. If stores require customers to apply CDC guidelines then shouldn't these stores also do their part to keep their stores clean? Customers are putting on mask to follow store rules the least that could be done is to have clean and kept bathrooms with protective sheets, paper towels to dry our hands and toilet paper that's actually in the roll holder. read more

What a terrible experience, ordering a shoe off of their website. I ordered a jordan 3 on August 27th where I had to call constantly for an update of the shipment. Finally, I had to talk to a manager. Apparently, shipment was lost and another one was shipped. On September 16th, I received the package, which I was very excited to finally get. As a sneaker head I was so disappointed to find that one of the shoe was all creased and dented up. I waited this long to receive this!? I wish I could return it and get a new one. I came in looking for some running shoes in preparation for an upcoming marathon (1st one) and really thought they were all the same. Went to Nordstrom first but the rep really didn't have any information on the shoes except that they were for running which is why I figured to keep looking. I guess I was SUPER LUCKY that I ran into Rene in the shoe department. This man knows his stuff and was very detailed and committed to finding the perfect shoe for a 1st time runner like myself. He showed me a few styles after figuring out what would be the best for me after going over some questions and concerns. Was so happy with my purchase that I wore them out of the store. The whole store is very impressive. It is huge, and seems quite well stocked. However, the best part is the floor manager Pearl - a true gem! She explained things clearly and was extremely helpful in helping us get what we wanted. Good help is hard to find, particularly in retail, and this young woman was outstanding.
