    Horizon T101 treadmill

    My son wants a treadmill for his birthday, the Horizon T101. I called Dick's and talked to someone in that department. I arrived at Dick's and had to walk upstairs because only the DOWN elevator was working. My poor knee. My phone credited me with 2 flights. Then I saw the elevator. The person who wanted to assist me was at lunch, so I was told to go back down and pay at the register. The line was very short. Dick's matched the Horizon online price and saved me $50. They arranged for delivery and setup in 2 days!! That was also less than the online price. My son is excited and it should arrive tomorrow morning. They have $10 rewards here. I just earned two of them.

    I still have a chance to get lock laces for my pair of boots and shoes, in case they don't have a hands free slip ins for another retail stores, but I will definitely get a lock laces for the new pair of shoes in the future. Anyway, I really like the flex fit hat without adjustable straps on my head back because, it'll mess my hair out of the cowlick. Other than that, I really enjoy the harbinger lifting belt to keep my back straight on weightlifting.

    3/24/24, I came to this store at 10:30am, 30 minutes after it opened. There were already several customers in the store by this time and only two cashiers in the front near the outside door entrance. I really needed a floor employee to help answer a question that I had about trying to look for some long athletic causal loose fitting sweat pants that I had previously bought at Dick's about two years ago, but there were no employees at all to find working on the floor. What a shame! I looked around the store for 30 minutes at most of the clothing for men but never saw any employee out on the floor. The prices at Dick's is higher than most stores. The clearance items are generally pathetic items that nobody would really buy unless they want to wear poor quality dull Chinese looking attire. The nice looking attire is never put onto a clearance rack and are never discounted in price. I looked at some running shorts that I really wanted to purchase even at $55, but I wanted ones with a pocket zipper. The last thing you want to happen is jogging and your keys, ID, or cell phone falls out of these small pockets because things in the pockets bounce around a lot when running or jogging. So no zipper pockets, no purchase from me. I have to give this store a 1 star mainly because there was no staff to help out the customers. The two cashiers at the register were simply too busy ringing up the early bird customers.

    Dirty, not a very helpful manager... was with my little sis picking out some snow gear when I stepped on a security tag, it pricked through my shoe and hurt my foot. When I got to speak with the manager even after seeing how upset I was, all he said "unfortunately this happens all the time, customer take off tags". Sorry sir but if this happens ALL THE TIME, why don't you AT LEAST make sure they don't end up on the floor. I can't imagine if this would've happened to my little sis. Very unfortunate experience. I look for solutions not excuses. Also checking my receipt at home, turns out they charged 60$ for two items, but on the tag it said 50$??? Literally whattt

    Genuinely helpful cashier; Melissa. Online return was easy. When I originally picked up curbside (first time), It was no hassle. I was impressed. I was parked in then out. . When purchasing inside, its fast checkout. Safe space for baby. So much cute gear. Why is it that shopping in store, I'd pay full price but look for the sales online lol

    This location was clean, neat, and organized. Inventory levels were exceptional, and visual merchandising was perfectly executed. Staff levels were low, and staffing seemed rushed. We were not greeted by any member of staff. I went to this location specifically to purchase shoes for myself and wife that I had already researched online. Footwear was busy, with approximately 20-30 costumers. I used the kiosk to notify an associate that I wanted two pairs of shoes, and while waiting I noticed that there was only one associate in footwear. The kiosk was convenient and extremely easy to use. I patiently waited for 15-20 minutes before searching for an associate that wasn't busy, however I was unable to find one. I just wanted to pick up and purchase my footwear. Finally, the one lonely associate in footwear who was helping 20-30 customers was able to help me. I verified shoe size and color, she went to the stockroom and delivered my request, and I left. I paid $389 with the friendly cashier and left. As a retail/merchandise manager I was impressed by the kiosk! Now if staffing levels can be slightly increased to meet the kiosk demand, I am certain your footwear category sales will increase.

    Ok , lately I have been browsing Dick's this was my 3rd store and I made purchases. I want to say WoW ! I'm sold I'm not saying names but I am thrilled to be a permanent customer here. Experience's truly matter to me since moving back to the Los Angeles area from OC. I was in love with how Emnormous Dick's is 2 floors, loved the batting cage they had a 6 year old being fitted for a bat he was able to hit balls within a netted area all safe. As I watched in awe how the employee worked with this customer and his son. I'm all for #humankindness He was so patient as he tried certain bats that fit his needs. Made me wanna go get fitted for a bat myself. Wish I knew the employees name. I walked in search of 2 things happy I walked out with all but 1 thing. I went in looking for a Wenzel Shenanigan 5 person tent they had none in store. I walked over to the golf department meet Randy ! What another great employee. Randy happily helped me with ordering my tent same time indulged me in explaining there golf area where you can go swing a few if interested in a club or clubs. I have never walked into a sporting goods store that was so impeccable in every since. Store was well maintained , sanitizer throughout the store , bathrooms were spotless. Only thing I wish Dick's had one day sales like some of there competitors like big 5 sporting goods. There us are parking here not to worry. Dick's has a small area of products for camping not much but I'd hope to see it grow. I want to say I give 5 stars for my experience at Dick's while shopping and to thee employees who assisted me. Many employees go unnoticed.

    Wow! They did it to me again! This time, the sign for the Gatorade Gx water bottle said $12.99, but they charged me $19.99 on the receipt. These water bottles were near the cashiers in the large black wire crates (last minute shopper stuff to look at while you're in line). Of course I didn't take a pic of the price on the sign! Ugh, when will I learn?! Watch out people! Make sure to pay attention to the posted price on the sign in the store and your receipt.

I was on a mission, my grandson has lost his noise cancelling headphones now 3 times and I have had to replace them 3 times. He goes to a lot of concerts and he knows, your headphones are on your head or in the car, do not just leave them lying around. So, when he did it again, I told him his mom was going to have to replace them as his behavior shows a lack of responsibility for items that he is tasked with caring for. Anyway, I saw this Big 5 on the way to the taking him to the circus so I caved and pulled over. We went in and the cashier was very nice. She was not sure where the headphones were, so she asked a salesperson walking the store. He knew right away and showed me where they were and was able to tell me a little about the selection. I mean, they go from cheap to our you kidding me prices. I found the perfect pair made by Razor and went to the cashier. On my way there, I saw a lot of cool stuff had I been shopping. I told the cashier I was concerned with fit so had all intention of paying for them, opening them right there and trying them on my super sensitive grandson's head. She was fine with that and was going to just let me get another pair or give me my money back if we could not find a great fit. These were perfect. She was happy, we were happy. It all worked out. So, I do like this Big 5 very much. And as to the grandson if he loses these, he will be digging ditches to learn the value of money. Have a great week.

    There was a hole in one of my shoes, and it got pretty bad that I needed to get a new pair. I get…read moreemails from Big 5 daily, but never really see anything of interest. That is, until the 4th of July when they emailed coupons for $5 off a purchase of $10+. Since shoes are obviously more than $10, I knew I had to go during the holiday to take advantage of that deal, which was good for that day only. I actually stopped by the traffic circle location in Long Beach first, but they didn't have the shoes that I wanted. Rather than choosing a different pair, I went to this location on the southwest corner of 183rd and Gridley. Though not technically a part of Los Cerritos Center, it's close enough that if you park your car on the east side of the mall, you can simply walk to Big 5, which doesn't have many parking spots directly in front. The store is pretty spacious and should cater to just about any athlete for any sport. Since it was summer, most of the sporting goods were swimming related, but I was here for the shoes, which were all the way in the back of the store. Not only did they have the shoe that I was looking for, but they had it in my size too! There was just one box left, and it was all mine! Well, except the lid was badly deformed. One of the employees walked to the back to offer assistance, and then I asked him if I could get a new shoebox for the shoes that I wanted. He mentioned that for the brand, they don't have that many shoeboxes, and they usually get deformed anyways. However, he did give me permission to switch the lids with another box, and so that's what I did. He also directed me to where the seats were so I could try on the shoes before purchasing. The shoes did fit, but I noticed inside each shoe, there was just a cardboard insert used to retain the shape of the shoe before purchase. There wasn't any crumpled paper inside that I've seen inside other shoes, but oh well. Not a dealbreaker for me. The employee did come by again to ask if the shoes fit, to which I answered affirmatively. Though he was kind of hard to understand, I do appreciate how he was there to offer help when needed. Checkout was a breeze. The cashier scanned the shoebox and then my coupon before completing my transaction and wishing me a good 4th of July. Good visit overall. If they didn't have my shoe size, who knows if they would have had one in the back? The two employees I mentioned in this review were the only two I saw working that afternoon, and if that's the norm here, I can't imagine how they would be able to handle a full house. Even though the Lakewood location is closer to me, I would definitely be willing to make the farther drive next time I need a new pair of shoes.
