We've visited this location many times while traveling back and forth between San Diego and Dallas. The food is consistently good, served hot, and the line usually moves quickly. That part is reliable and appreciated. However, customer service here has consistently felt lacking. My husband and I are mild-mannered, courteous people, and over time we've jokingly referred to some of the staff as "divas" because interactions often feel unnecessarily curt. Interestingly, the folks taking orders and handling payment tend to be much friendlier overall. On our visit 12/23 around noon, the bartender in particular was discourteous. We sat on the bar side without realizing alcohol was now required to sit there--something that hadn't been an issue in the past--so it didn't feel unreasonable for us to assume it was still okay. The situation could have been handled with much more grace. There is a much kinder way to let folks know the criteria for sitting on that side now. Additionally, we were surprised by the pricing: * a side of jalapeños for $0.75 * extra barbecue sauce for $0.93 Two sandwiches and two sides came to nearly $36, which felt steep given the experience. What was most frustrating, though, was being told water couldn't be provided--only ice. Management, please take note: this is a customer-service business. A quick reset with staff--whether through additional training or better staffing support--could go a long way. And please, give your customers water. We're all just trying to get along here. read more

Its airport food i can't be too shocked. I went to Dallas and didn't have a chance to get bbq before leaving to i stopped here. Loved the bar seating almost felt like I wasn't in a busy airport. Our server was new and he was a delight he made us feel comfortable and really enjoyed talking to him. The more he stays the better he will be at tending a bar but he is still learning. The food was mid it wasn't bad and it wast great. I love fries and those were fresh and hot and hit the spot. I had the chopped brisket with the spicy BBQ. If you are like and you order something that says spicy that what you are looking for it was more sweet that anything. If you are looking for real BBQ this is not it but if you want something other than fast food in the airport this works. read more

This is airport BBQ at Dallas and I wanted to give it another try since it's been a long time and I wasn't feeling Moe's tonight. I agree with the general Yelp rating of 3. It is typical airport quality but if you are craving some heavy protein like I was, this does the job. I ordered the turkey and ribs. Turkey is very soft and the ribs a bit fatty. They sauce it up for you. The side selection is pretty good also. You also get a very generous thick slice of white bread to mop up all the sauce. Casual. Good service. If I could give this place a zero out of five stars I definitely would. Let's start with the fact that the attitudes there are actually worse than the food which is F'd up. Before we could even get to the line, you can tell the attitude of the workers was absolutely terrible. On the receipt, It says that the cashier was Raul, but it was not Raul. It was a younger black woman. I believe Raul was the guy that created the plates who had the best attitude of everyone he was pleasant probably the only thing that could go right at Dickie's barbecue. I went with a brisket sandwich and sweet tea. The attendants are friendly, although not very good attention span. I had to repeat what sauce I wanted. lady after me had to ask for spicy only to be missed and had to ask wait is that spicy or not. I got lucky? Just in case a manager wants to research this review, I went to this Dicky's location at the airport on February 6, 2026, At about 12:45 PM. I spent $32 on a pound of very dry chicken and an iced tea. I simply came back up to the register to ask for another barbecue sauce because they only gave me two small containers for the whole pound of chicken. The African-American girl that was serving the barbecue sauce told me they would be $.93 each. I told her I had just ordered a pound of chicken and she told me that I should've asked for more sauce when I ordered. She was very rude and argumentative and had an attitude as she spoke to me. Then I asked her, "how much barbecue sauce is supposed to come with a pound of chicken because ours was very dry"? She replied, "I don't know. I just work here. You can talk to her". She pointed to the cashier. I told the cashier I only got two small containers of barbecue sauce with my pound of chicken. She looked at the rude girl and told her, "you're supposed to get four containers with a pound". This was a pretty embarrassing conversation to have to deal with such a rude employee over a small serving of barbecue sauce. She needs to be checked on her customer service and either sent to summer refresher training, or placed in the kitchen in the back where she doesn't have contact with customers. This is located in the Dallas Love Field airport. The line was long, but it moves so fast! The young man making the plates had a great sense of humor. He made ordering so much fun! I got the brisket sandwich and with the young man's suggestion got some extra pickles for crunch and extra spicy sauce to make the brisket sandwich even more delicious. The brisket sandwich was messy, but super tasty and the extra pickles and sauce really made this sandwich. So the brisket was actually pretty good - moist but with a good flavor. The pulled pork was - okay. It just lacked much flavor. The sauce saved it. The coleslaw was actually good, which is amazing because a lot of places can't seem to get coleslaw 'right'. The green beans were - hands down - the worst I have ever eaten. The were overcooked and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever - they should not have been served and if this is how they always are - they need to come off of the menu. The cashier rang me up, their POS immediate goes to the payment menu (no itemization), and the amount was $14.41 which seemed high. I mention this, the cashier mentions high taxes. I pay and ask for an itemized receipt. They charge $12.95 for the meal. Is this 45 cents a small amount per meal? Yes. Is it dishonest? Yes. I brought this up and none of the workers cared, they told me the amount is $12.95 even though the board says otherwise. If they have 300 customers a day, this is nearly $50,000 annually that they are making dishonestly. And they don't care! It is wrong to charge an incorrect price. read more

I just tried Dickey's Loaded Baked Potato for the first time at the airport and it certainly got the job done! An above average sized potato, topped with all the fixings. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture, I was so hungry :(. Brisket was my choice of meat. It was not dry and not fatty which I appreciated. The barbecue sauce was good! I got the sweet one but it has a little spicy aftertaste (don't be afraid, it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy). The restaurant is assembly line style so I was served immediately. The customer service here needs some serious work. I asked for chicken nuggets (that are on the menu) and was looked at like I was crazy and told they sell those pick something else. It had good smoke, if I knew I would have asked for extra spicy bbq sauce on the side because it needed that. The pork ribs were a tan bit dry but wasn't too bad. I asked them to add pickles to my bbq and that was a perfect addition! As for the sides, it's what's bringing them down. The Mac and cheese were pretty gross. Ordered food here yesterday just camp back from a 5 day trip from lost lands didn't have much money left decided to try this place out I asked for boneless chicken and then ened up miss charging me for bone in and then got upset when I said that's not my order. They decided that they would just refund me but at that point I don't have anymore money so I had to sit and wait 3 hours for my flight without eating and provide to go on a another 3 hour flight starving. Workers were rude service was bad they don't even listen to you... My friend also got food there and it was dry he also asked for a Refund and they got pissed and refused not a nice place at all go anywhere else in the terminal. If you can't understand a customer you should clarify and ask what they said instead of assuming can't believe you actually do this to another human. The community out there isn't friendly read more
