We have been to this location twice. The first time was a few weeks ago. There was no AC so it was really hot in there. About half way through our meal we noticed ants on the table and that there were a bunch crawling on the wall next to us. They're my favorite. Today they were exceedingly tender and juicy. Which is the only way for me. No smoke flavor. That's one thing I can not eat, ever. Great customer service, friendly staff, and good BBQ. The menu is simple, which is a plus, the BBQ sauce is very very tasty, and the spicy makes it close to perfect. Always Good I have visited Dickey's a few times and I've never been disappointed. The food is always good, service is always great, and the restaurant is always clean. On this visit we shared a nice variety of smoked chicken, ribs, brisket, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, cold slaw, and hot rolls. I think the potato salad is my favorite, I could eatvitvsll day. My biggest complaint is the salad. My husband got a small side one and I got a medium salad. We both got less than half of the tiny containers of dressing. Luckily we had some on hand so I guess that was ok. But the lettuce was pretty gross. I picked out several pieces of black or brown lettuce. I ate around that but I had to look over every single bite before eating it which is tedious and annoying. All and all it was pretty good. At the time of this review, Dickey's BBQ Pit is only offering Takeout & Delivery. I ordered the Rib dinner platter and the food was nothing short of amazing. The sauce they use is perfect (not too sweet) and the Ribs were fall off the bone great. We had Potato Salad/Macaroni & Cheese as sides, and both very good. We don't know what lies ahead during these strange times, but Dickey's is an awesome Restaurant with excellent food and a great staff (I believe the person I spoke with was Carla). I mean we all have that one friend that we get a veggie tray or hummus and pita chips for when we host a 4th of July get together but the vast majority of us love a good sweet and spicy cooked over a flame piece of meat. Now I have had my share of BBQ, Dickey's is doing something a little bit different though. See, at Dickey's, the are making it somewhat like a fast food style takeout barbecue joint. There is no drive thru window but you can phone ahead your order or use door dash. They have a small sit in dining area that seats probably at max 65-80 patrons. The benefit of eating in is their all you can handle soft serve ice cream and fountain drinks in their complimentary BIG YELLOW CUPS! That's right, endless root beer floats. I have had my share of visits to Dickey's and I have had only 1 minor issue which was on my most recent trip to this location. They were understaffed on this particular night and had a large rush of to go orders. Amidst all the confusion my plate got sent out and my order was held up about 10 minutes. I still place this BBQ over it's other first name rival from Texas....unless you want a cold beer and conversation then go there lol! read more
