Ahh this sub place is the bomb. Just finished up their well known cheesesteak sub. Thanks to reviewers out there. Lets start with the atmosphere, it reminded me of an old fashioned submarine restaurant. I assume that is the point, since I've never been here before. I've only been told how good it is. They have a quite large dining area and space for ordering your food. What I liked more about this restaurant was the bread is much fresher. You have a choice between the regular bread, sesame, multi-grain and everything. I think I should have gone with the sesame because I wasn't a fan of the taste of multi-grain even though I eat it because I assume it's healthier than regular bread. The philly cheesesteak had a great taste to it with the steak, cheese, mayo and mushrooms it tasted great. What Jersey Mike's, Subway and other sub places lack is sauce in their subs, this place makes up for all that. Not only fresh but you can taste the flavor. This is my first, and last, visit here. My son wanted a good meatball sub, so we decided to try here. First, they were out of the type of bread (plain white sub). Hello, it's a sub shop. Darn good sub, for not much more than Subway prices. It's not even in the same league. I guess Firehouse would be a better comparison (new-to-here chain.) This was a much better value than Firehouse. I got a medium, which was probably 10-12" and plenty for me. I had the grilled Italian (the Godfather, I think.) Good bread, good meat, good veggies. Also had a cookie, which was fine but not great. We had a catered lunch last week and the subs and salads were so good I went back this week to try them again.. this time I tried the chicken philly and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered subs today and one of them was wrong. I called DiBella's and they went above and beyond to correct it. I'm not hard to please, but I hold people to the same standards as myself. Horrible place. Immediately when you walk in te place smells horrible like busted toilet pipes. Been there four times and no change in the smell and water leaks in ta some spots. Customer service: disappointing! Lazy, grumpy people including the female with long blonde hair. The general manager is so unprofessional he was arguing with customers over the price of a order. From the moment I walked into DiBella's on Tuttle Crossing, Dublin, OH, I knew I had chosen the right place for dinner. The staff was very attentive to the customers both in the store and those ordering carryout/delivery. I mentioned I would like to have extra onions & mushrooms on my Cheese Steak and was told there would be no charge for the extras. I was amazed. When the sandwich was ready, I asked that it be cut into 4 pieces, 2 to eat in house and 2 to be lunch the next day! They said "No problem! We'll wrap them in 2 separate wraps". I greatly appreciated that. While I was eating there, I noticed the workers being very pleasant to all who entered or called. Realizing that staffing is an issue right now with most places, I was very glad to find a place where the staff was professional and cared about the customer. My husband and I ordered subs with the Grubhub app. When the subs arrived we noticed the order was completely incorrect. For example I ordered tomatoes on my Italian sub and there was none, but there was lettuce that I did not order at all. The meats were not even correct on the Italian sub. There must be something about this stretch of road that Dibella's is on; I've already reviewed the neighboring Taco Bell and Wendy's locations, and they're pretty bad. So when I stop in here for the first time to get a sub to go, wait 5 mins to have my order taken, and they get the bread wrong, what am I supposed to think? I never EVER order 'everything' bread, I hate poppy seeds (and coarse salt). So of course they gave me that. So how was the sub? I would rate the meats and toppings as average, not particularly abundant. Ordered as hot, so cooked on grill which took an unusual amount of time. Even the late and not so lamented Steak Escape would've had this out the door 5 minutes faster. Bottom line, not recommended. read more

We wanted a quick dinner while running around for some shopping and this was suggested. There were so many choices of subs, which is great. The young man taking our order spoke so quietly and mumbled, that we had to ask him to repeat himself several times. For a first timer, this was even more frustrating. I wanted a medium, but they were out of that size of bun. I had to order a large and no compensation was offered. I ordered The Godfather (warm) and was excited to eat it. The sub was good, and it was a giant sub for a "small", but it was pretty pricey for a sub. I know they're new, but it was fairly chaotic inside. I'm definitely leaning more towards a 2.5 here, but I give them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened. It's more expensive than Quiznos or Subway, but definitely a bigger sammich. I had the chicken Caesar, hot, with dressing on the side. They didn't give me the dressing. womp. Big points: best chocolate chip cookie I've had in a long time. I'm from out of town and wanted something quick and easy for dinner. I saw to DiBella's subs so I thought I'll give it a try. That was a mistake. I got a ham and cheese and the ham tasted weird and there's something strange about the mayonnaise. I also got macaroni salad and it had the same mayonnaise with the weird taste to it. Four stars for the food, two for the service. The Godfather is quite nice, especially grilled and on the Everything bread (I'm a sucker for combinations of Italian meats). The toppings won't blow your mind, but the core of the sandwich is good. The chocolate chip cookies are delicious too. The process of actually ordering a sub seems to be more complicated than necessary, though. Each employee brings a ticket up with spaces for all the relevant questions - bread, cheese, toppings, dressings, etc. - but those questions get asked and followed about 50% of the time (many times I've found totally different toppings or dressings on the final product). Then, there's the awkward part that, after ordering, you're asked to take a number and then recap your order verbally to a cashier 20 feet away - no carbon copy ticket or electronic system? Though it's not inherently their fault, the atmosphere is off-putting as it's quite a large space that's usually empty and very plainly laid out. Great food (when consistently delivered), awkward experience. If you're looking for a sub in the area, you could do worse. read more

This location is By far the most unprofessional, unapologetic, rudest staff I have ever encountered in my entire life!! If you are a customer here then I can assure you that you come dead last and you are a burden to them. I have had an order that was completely wrong. An order that was over 30 minutes late. Their phone kept hanging up while I was in the middle of an order. I never received anything that even resembled an apology each time. I had been wanting to go here for awhile, especially the new opening at Olentangy where the first 100 got free subs for a year (how cool would taht be?) but I'm glad I waited for their BOGO memorial day special and an additional 10% off for military which got us 4 subs for $9 what what!!!! Their buns get 5+ stars best ever, love how they are steamed and the everything sub bun is the best I've ever had at a sub place! My husband got the make your own with ham, spicy ham and turkey, another with salami, ham and turkey and liked them both. I had two with veggies and swiss which had no flavor other than the bun. Point off for that, it needed some kind of seasoning, anything really, next time I'll have to get meat on it, just veggies doesn't do it. Super fast and I love how they write every order down and go down the list askking everything exactly to make sure its perfect for you. I need to be nice and remember to update my older reviews... especially when things go right! I've been to DiBella's a handful more times, and things have improved. The ordering process is still kinda... Bleh. They have red ordering numbers for carryout and black for dine-in, but it doesn't seem to matter to the crew making the sandwiches. Not good practice, because people look at you like, 'Why are you standing here? They bring it out to the table' When the fact is, I've placed a carry out order. This is probably one place you'll need to research before stopping in here. The signs aren't really easy to navigate through, and are placed in an odd far left area of the ordering counter. Subs shouldn't be that hard to order, but DiBella's make no accommodation to their products, or toppings. Sub sizes are deceiving. Small: Perfect for one person and will fill you up nicely. Medium: Probably should share that with two, but maybe you're just beast-mode hungry. Large: Dude, are you SERIOUSLY going to eat that 2 feet worth of sub? The bread here is good. I stick with plain, and it suffices. My sub of choice is the 'Old Fashioned' with extra cheese, and minimal toppings. I do not suggest the Oil/pepper blend they offer. God Awful. Toasted is best, but you'll add an extra 2-5 minutes on your wait time. Once you find your combo, I think you'll be able to appreciate DiBella's a bit more. It took two crappy subs for me to figure this out. Third time's a charm, I guess. I like the design of the restaurant altogether. It's a nod to their past, even with 1930's-40's music playing overhead. Lunch time is crazy. Dinner time is for most part... dead. Seeing the reviews, I gave this place a shot especially since I live 1/2 mile from here, I need to find a dining option close by. I was deeply disappointed. Sub and chips - $9 wasn't bad. Ordered the roast beef with au jus. It was NOT prepared fresh as they got the roast beef out of the frig, placed it in the warm au jus sauce for about 90 seconds and then wrapped it up. After taking out the roast beef, they then scooped au jus out of said container as my sauce to take home. No terribly surprised - 10 min later when I was eating my wrapped sandwich - the meat was so cold that I had to warm the sandwich in the microwave. In addition, due to the reheat the meat was soggy and not as tender. Feel totally ripped off. read more

For lunch I got a Medium $7.69 DiBella's Cheesesteak (grilled steak with melted cheese of your choice and grilled peppers & onions.) Added some banana peppers and it was perfect. Hot and fresh. Just wish I could find some hot sauce somewhere, unless I overlooked it.... I will say that there is a lot of bread to the sandwiches, which was one complaint of a coworker. Yet, complimented the thinly sliced meats on the Italian Sorted sub. Also, I think a Small would suffice most. I could have saved half my Medium for later, but chose to finish it off because it was pretty tasty. Ordering gets a little confusing-not a fan of the setup. Hate to say but I was a little confused, as were others. When you walk in it's not that confusing where to go but the process isn't exactly like that of other sub shops. Note that there are drinks in three different locations. Also, you need a number card to take with you to your table so they can bring out your sub. So, don't wait at the order/prep counter for your food. Order, grab your number, grab a side and/or bottled drink, pay at the register (where you'll find huge cookies), grab your fountain drink (if you bought one) and sit down. To find it, keep on the lookout for the huge red DiBella's sign out front along Tuttle Crossing BLVD. Large space with roomy booths and tables-great for lunch groups. read more

Stopped in to the new Di Bellas Old Fashioned Submarines this evening, formerly a Cord Camera location. Needless to say the building was renovated throughout. They did a good job. When you walk in what seems like 15 staffers all greet you "welcome to Di Bella's!" The bread (and cookies) are baked in house. HUGE oven in view, not like a small Subway "baking center". You order at the counter and then are given a number, stroll down to the cashier to pay and pick up chips if you desire. Have a seat and they will bring your sub to you within minutes. A very hearty, quality sub it is. I suggest Di Bella's! read more

On Wednesday afternoon my wife Amanda and I had the pleasure of having lunch at DiBella's Old Fashioned Submarines (4949 Tuttle Crossing Blvd., Columbus, OH 43016). We have driven by this restaurant numerous times and for the past week or so have discussed stopping in to try them out. I simply cannot say enough positive things about DiBella's. Without a doubt DiBella's is the cleanest restaurant I have ever had the good fortune of eating at in all of Central Ohio. The atmosphere is casual and reminded me of what it must have been like to go to a 1940s New York corner sandwich shop. For me personally, it reminded me of the corner hoagie shop that I grew up next door to, it has a very friendly, inviting vibe and you immediately feel right at home. We were greeted by super friendly staff who not only smiled when they spoke to us but made eye contact as well and for me this is a very important aspect of quality customer service. I was very well pleased that in addition to booth seating, they also had table seating so that someone such as I, who is presently in a wheelchair, can pull right up and enjoy their meal (which I did). DiBella's subs are served classic style or grilled and come on your choice of their fresh baked bread; Sesame, Multigrain, Everything or Plain. I ordered a large Godfather (Genoa Salami, Capicola, Spicy Ham) on Multigrain with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers and DiBella's Famous Oil Dressing; and even as I'm writing this blog, my mouth is watering and I am just counting the hours until I can go back and get another classic submarine sandwich from DiBella's. The word "large" barely describes the behemoth of a submarine I had. The size of the large is incredible and well worth every penny. DiBella's also offers sides, and on this visit I choose pasta salad which is also quite good. Overall my trip to DiBella's was an incredibly positive experience. I've been reviewing restaurants for over eight years now and my DiBella's experience is only the second time that I've eaten at a restaurant and not had anything negative to say. DiBella's has a tagline on their twitter page which says "The best subs you've ever had," and having eating submarine sandwiches from over 100 different restaurants I agree with DiBella's 100%.
