BURGER BOWL
Priscilla A.

Overpriced bland food. I went there two days ago to try to potato soup. It was tasteless. Perfect if you are on a low sodium diet though. Today, I went to give it another try and got the burger bowl. They forgot my special sauce. The food was extremely dry without it. The veggies on the bowl are extremely fresh though so that's a plus. The staff at the pick up window were pleasant. I won't be back.

The menu picture of what the soup should of looked like.

Stopped here for lunch. The food is always fresh and tastey. I got the combo. I got the calfornia cobb salad and the mushroom bisque. The salad was fresh and delicious, the soup was hot and tastey. I had the mock strawberry daiquiri, it was very good. The only negative thing I have to say is although the soup tasted good it was nothing more than broth. It had not mushrooms in it at all. The soup i got looked nothing like the one I included a picture of in this review. I highly recommend this place. It is very good. The lady, maybe the manager is always there and very nice. The restaurant is always very clean and bright.

Few nights and I was a little under the weather therefore, it decided I would like to have something comforting, therefore Café Zupas was in order! Chose grilled cheese ( which was like no grilled cheese I've ever had ) turned out to be superb, and the lobster bisque which had tons of big chunks of lobster in the bottom. Yum Yum Yum!!! Back to the grilled cheese.... You gotta try it. I got mine grilled with a ciabatta bun which added a little bit of smoking us to it. We'll be back again.

Soup and sandwich combo very good!

Nice location I love the menu and the sandwich and soup choices but if they don't find a way to make sure the soup is hot and serve it hot, I won't be likely to come back. They served me a second bowl and it was just as lukewarm as the first.

First time at Cafe Zupas and it was very delicious. Super and the vibes were bright and welcoming. The food ordering is set up like a Chipotle or Bibibop. I decided to build my own bowl. I did lettuce, rice, chicken, And 4 toppings. There are multiple to choose from. Anything over 4 you have to pay extra. The food options are great, and so is the portion size. You also get a free roll and chocolate covered strawberry. The only thing that was off to me was the ice, it smelt a little weird. They do have rewards!

Love the lobster bisque, bread, and chocolate cover strawberries, and service! I'm always in and out!

Got soup from the drive thru. No one was behind us. Paid and was told to park in spot 1. There we waited. And waited. And waited some more for something that just needs to be ladled into a container. The ambiance was nice. Nice landscaping. Pleasant drive thru staff... just really slow service for soup..... just soup.... Lol. Maybe they are short staffed? Maybe they had a rush on soup? Maybe they thought that in 87 degree weather no one would order it. Who knows. It normally doesn't take this long. The soup was good. Comes with a roll and a strawberry Highly recommend despite the wait.

Quick and attentive service. We started with crispy dumplings (6), crispy egg rolls (2), and a scallion pancake. Bing, their crepe, wasn't available our night. My dining companions loved the pancake - for me perhaps a bit too much drizzled sauce. It was helpfully quartered when brought to the table so sharing was easy. The dumplings were indeed crispy and probably my favorite with a standard dark dipping sauce. The egg rolls were standard and perhaps a bit undersized and over fried, but a good creamy dipping sauce was a pivot away from the sweet chili sauce that usually accompanies such apps. Ramen is clearly the focus of the menu and three of us had ramen with chicken and one with pork. They spoke favorably of the broth and the combos of mushrooms, boiled egg, greens. I had the rice vermicelli with chicken that they called a salad. I was expecting the classic Vietnamese staple but this one had some adaptations, perhaps to a fusion or one might say less ethnic nod. Small things but the ample portion served in a small bowl made it hard to mix the rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, cucumber and chicken that is a common approach to the dish after drowning all the ingredients in both sweet sauce (nuoc cham), siracha and/or hoisin sauce. It only came with the nuoc cham. They brought Siracha when I asked for it, but I'm a fan of having these condiments on the table standard. Again, had the sense that the business lunch crowd that is probably the primary audience isn't likely to be as focused on the more authentic ingredients. The chicken was also not grilled and sliced but had a pleasant preparation. Just know it won't be the charred flavor that is so common. Finally, not to obsess on this one dish, but cutting the lettuce leaves more would enable easier chop sticks combos of the ingredients in single bites. Overall it worked for us. I am definitely the most focused on (my companions would say obsessed) on connection to what these dishes should be. If adaptations work well for you, Tiger+Lily likely will as well.

This can be tricky because there seems to always be out the door, but most patrons understand the assignment and turnover goes quickly. I recommend searching the current menu online so you are ready as soon as you get to the register. This place appears to always be busy and bustling with people. We ordered the Country Scramble, Pancakes, and an Egg Sandwich. Drinks were hot apple cider, hot cocoa, and a Blackberry Fizz. All the food was delicious and are def the highlight. There is self serve coffee and soda(and water I believe although the person who got up to investigate for our table couldn't seem to find it). Honestly, the service is not my jam and why I dropped off a star. They seemed to be serving mimosas, wine, and Bloody Mary's in the line while you waited but the gal that was overseeing the area didn't really make eye contact so we didn't bother with that. Register was friendly and knowledgeable. But then the service gets tricky. There are no dedicated servers / bussers. Just people doing both. So many times you will find a group of people waiting for a table that needed to be cleared. We waited for the table to be cleared and no one was wiping the tables down, just removing dirty dishes. Our table was terribly sticky from the prior patrons but since you don't have a dedicated server, no one was coming back to take care of that. And lord help you if something wasn't right or you needed attention. We had no tableware or napkins and had to take them from another table. One of our meals took 10 more minutes than everyone else's so then our food was cold as we tried to be polite to the person who did not get food (but who do you inquire with?!). And if you wanted something else (another drink, or a pastry), you were going to have to wait in the line again. The food was good, but probably not a place I would return.

Coming off of Bourbon fest, we decided for light fare and got a closing drink along with the Off Menu red snapper crudo with rice paper crackers, watermelon salad, and pomodoro pasta. My coworker recently…read morecatered a lunch with Bendi and everything I had was delicious, so I decided to actually visit the restaurant to see if my feelings about this spot would change. They have a small parking lot which is helpful since parking can be challenging in this area. They have some outside seating and a small but cute dinning room with a bar. It was such a gorgeous day, I sat outside. I ordered the Penang curry with chicken and a couple of egg rolls. This is what I ordered via DoorDash, and it is one of my favorite dishes so I wanted to keep in consistent for my review. The waitress was attentive and friendly. It isn't busy at all. There is only one other couple dining during this lunch hour. The table outside is a mesh-top table, which is concerning, especially when you have a dish with sauce. When places don't provide a placemat, you risk food getting on your lap and pants. This would be a simple suggestion and fix. The egg rolls came out first. The presentation was really nice. They were nice and crisp, not soggy, like some places. The dipping sauce was perfect. I thought they were delicious. We are off to a good start! The Penang curry came out looking delicious. It was nothing like my DoorDash meal. The portions were good. Fair amount of chicken. Loved the flavor and spice. Some of the best flavor I've had in this dish in a long time. This dish came with rice. I don't know what happened with my DoorDash order, so I'm happy I stopped in to give them another chance. I have no reservations recommending you check out this delicious spot in the town. I can't wait to come back and try out some other dishes. I also bring friends!

YE Gurl Says: Restaurant Week Started a Whole Obsession!…read more Occasion: Restaurant Week Mission: Find a new spot, enjoy a deal, and keep dinner for two under $100! Y'all know I'm a Virgo when it comes to a good deal. Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to try restaurants I haven't visited before without feeling like I need to take out a small loan just to enjoy dinner for two. My criteria? A new experience, good food, and a bill under $100 for two people. Is that too much to ask in this economy?! Enter Bendi Wok n Bar. Located across the street from the hospital, with a parking lot right out front, this little gem is easy to overlook if you aren't paying attention. But step inside, and you'll find a diverse mix of patrons and staff that makes the place feel welcoming. And chile, this Restaurant Week visit was just the beginning of an obsession! The Restaurant Week Spread We ordered the Restaurant Week package, which gave us a chance to sample several items without committing to full-priced portions of everything. Here's what made it to the table: Kimchi Fries - $5 Spicy, sticky, and FULL of flavor! These were not your basic fries with a little seasoning sprinkled on top. They brought the heat and delivered a satisfying punch of flavor. A great way to kick off the meal. Asian Salad - $5 A traditional Asian-style salad with that beloved orange ginger carrot dressing. You know the one! Sweet, tangy, and just the right accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Pancit - $18 A flavorful noodle dish that gave us a satisfying taste of traditional Filipino cuisine. A solid option for anyone looking for something beyond the usual restaurant fare. Pad Thai with Tofu - $20 Another great noodle option with plenty of flavor. I appreciate when restaurants offer satisfying meat-free choices without making vegetarians feel like an afterthought. House Sake, 20 oz. - $16 A nice addition to the meal for those looking to enjoy a little something extra with dinner. Sticky Rice Dessert - $5 Because we're not leaving without dessert! Cheesecake - $5 A sweet finish to round things out. And having TWO dessert options included in the experience? We love to see it! Let's Talk About the Value This is exactly why I appreciate Restaurant Week when restaurants do it right. You get to explore the menu, sample different flavors, and figure out whether a place deserves a spot in your regular rotation without spending an entire paycheck on dinner. Between the kimchi fries, salad, two noodle dishes, and desserts, there was plenty to enjoy. The food was flavorful, the meat-free options were satisfying, and the desserts were a welcome bonus. The real win? We found a restaurant we wanted to visit again AFTER Restaurant Week ended. And that, my friends, is how you turn a promotional offer into a loyal customer. YE Gurl Insight Restaurant Week shouldn't just be about getting people through the door for a discounted meal. It's an opportunity for restaurants to introduce themselves to new customers and show them why they deserve a repeat visit. Bendi Wok n Bar accomplished exactly that with us. What started as a search for a reasonably priced new dining experience became the beginning of our own little tradition: adding Bendi Wok n Bar to our list of restaurants to frequent. And yes, we've continued going back since this visit! Final Take If you're looking for a spot with a diverse menu, flavorful noodle dishes, satisfying meat-free options, and desserts to finish the meal, Bendi Wok n Bar is worth checking out. The kimchi fries were a standout, the Pancit and Pad Thai delivered on flavor, and the desserts made the meal feel complete. Restaurant Week helped us discover the place, but the food gave us a reason to return. YE Gurl Says: The best Restaurant Week deal isn't the cheapest meal. It's finding a new favorite that earns a permanent spot in your dining rotation.
