This location is hit or miss. I ordered three subs on Saturday night for picnic with the POPS. All three were amazing with just the right amount of condiments. I had some DiBella's catered, so I can't speak to the restaurant, but I did enjoy the food. I checked out a paper menu and the prices look to be right along the lines of Jersey Mike's. I tried a turkey sub and it was just fine. A bit bland, but that's turkey for you. The bread is pretty tasty, but I like a sandwich more for what's in between. I didn't see much difference between this and a turkey sandwich from Subway (for half the price). I might head over to check out a roast beef sub, since that's my favorite at Jersey Mike's and is markedly different than Subway and other sandwich shops. Disorganized chaos. Employees were extremely rude. They didn't even acknowledge us despite us standing there at least 10 minutes. Did not interact with us at all until we had to finally get their attention. These guys have some of the best hot sandwiches around. The large size can easily feed two people as well, so that makes the price quite affordable. The only things I'd like to see: 1) ability to order two sandwiches at once from the same person (rather than waiting on another to be available to take second order) and 2) add mushrooms to the menu! read more

It's an ok sandwich, but it didn't blow me away. What got to me here was the service and process. It's stupid. It's like they want to be subway, but instead of telling someone what you want as they build it, you tell some guy who writes it down on paper and hands it off. I was rather perturbed that two people that ordered (cold) subs after me, both got their subs before me (also a cold one), so I'm not sure who was dealing the cards, but they messed up. So, I had my first DiBella's sandwich today. I chose what I consider the sandwich which says the most about a shop - a meatball sub. Cold cuts type sandwiches are hard to distinguish between shops because there are 2 basic kinds of cold cuts - the cheap kind that low cost sandwich shops use and the more expensive kind that the others use. As a consumer of sandwiches, I don't think that I can tell much difference between the sandwiches from either level. However, ingredients that have a recipe and have to be cooked does have a chance to distinguish options. So I chose the meatball and marinara sandwich, on the "everything" bun. The bun was wonderful - quite tasty even after I had to wait an hour or more before I could eat it. The meatballs were okay. I have had bad meatballs - at, for example, some of those low end places. These are better than that - average, or perhaps a bit above. The marinara is good. There are a variety of toppings and cheeses. Even after my hour trek home, the sandwich was good. I will return to try some of the other varieties - the philly looks good, the italian didn't look bad - hope it doesn't have mayo on it. And there's a roast beef with au jus is good. They also have corned beef, which is nice. I also appreciated Logan, the gentleman who took my order. He was pleasant, helpful, and got the order 100% right. I wish they had pastrami - a good, hot, corned beef and pastrami with swiss would be SO good. Also, as perhaps special offerings, I'd love to see oyster po'boy and muffaletta - on the sesame or everything buns that would be outstanding, and probably would only require a good olive salad recipe. This is not a very good place. The food is okay, pretty standard subs and salads. The service is impersonal and the staff tends to yell at each other across the room, so there isn't much relaxation while you eat. I would not recommend it. read more

This is my first and last visit. The prices are overinflated for the amount of meat on your sub. 2 of the 4 subs ordered were not made as ordered. They did quickly correct the error. The fact that 4 medium subs with drinks and chips was $44 is crazy. I've long said since the first one in Columbus opened that this is the best place to get a sub sandwich. I'm a picky sandwich guy, folks - and Jersey Mike's doesn't cut it. There are multiple sandwiches here that I enjoy, but stay away from the chicken, it's cheapo processed chicken. Here's my recommendation for maximum awesome-itude: Godfather sub on the grill with everything bread, provolone cheese, sautéed sweet peppers and onions, mayo, spicy mustard and oil. That's the perfect sandwich. Oh, and if they accidently put regular mustard on it instead of spicy mustard, it ruins the whole sandwich. Cheap table mustard mustn't do! read more

I get the chicken philly sandwich, and its always perfect. The service is always fast and friendly, even when the line is long. Plus, the price is quite low for what you're getting. The "small" subs are still nearly as big as a Subway "footlong," and considerably cheaper. Parking and traffic are a bit challenging, but that's par for this area. Best subs in town! read more

Great sub, got the Godfather, was supposed to be hot,instead cold, suprised that I ate half saved rest for dinner, that night I started eating the other half, then I bit into a onion that was clearly rotten, yuk almost got sick. Everything about this place was OK. The service was fine. The decor was confusing, it says they've been around since 1918 but the decor was decidely from the 40s or 50s. I would rate the bread a five star alone. They give you a fair helping of meat on each sandwich. Everything seemed fresh. What took away from the experience was the weird ordering process and menu options as well as the weak sides. The staff was very friendly all around. The location itself was very clean. Why do both my wife and myself each need an order number? We are paying together. Lastly, can't we magically get a copy of my paper order sheet to the cashier so we don't need to revisit the order a minute later? Good sandwich. read more

I was standing in line for the men's restroom, and it appeared one of the employees did not wash his hands before leaving the restroom (later found out it was a gentleman named Matt). I didn't hear the hand dryer turn on and the sink was completely dry (no hand paper towels either or hand sanitizer either). I went in around 1:00 and the line was moving quick - the order taker was professional, polite and efficient. As I moved down to the cashier things seemed to be moving a little slower..... The cashier was taking everyone's money who had already ordered through a process of asking "what did you have?" then not giving a receipt. I could've ordered 4 subs and told the cashier I had 1 kids meal - thank goodness I am an honest person. So after that then all the paid customers were just standing around waiting... and waiting.... and waiting. I heard one person say they had been waiting for 30 minutes. I peeked over the counter and there were about 8 subs bagged and ready to be delivered just sitting there..... The gal who looked to be the caboose delivery person (Keya) was not in any rush at all and acted like she wishes she could've been anywhere but there. Overall, the taste of my grilled Buckeye Sub was good - although it was obvious that it was quickly thrown together and was not warm. I may return if my time allows it. I stopped in Saturday night about 8. This was my first time trying DiBella's. It was slow and the people did not seem interested in being there. I ordered a tuna sandwich, it was put together with minimal ingredients in a haphazard way and I was off. When I got home I found the bread rather stale and hard to eat. I tried putting it in the microwave to soften it up. I would not go again or suggest it to others? Lots of other places to go. read more
