Four stars for the remodeled store being nicer than the original. One star for the food. I ordered 2 hot subs for pickup and the chicken bacon ranch sub was great. The Mike's Original Cheesesteak was awful. In what world does an original cheesesteak sandwich (Philly style?) come with jalapeño peppers instead of grilled bell peppers?? This was probably a mistake in the kitchen, but by the time I found out, it was too late to return to the store. read more

Every other month I get a hankering for Jersey Mikes Subs because their fresh baked breads and their cold cuts are like no other. Today however as my wife and I were entering the premises, my wife says "They have Cheesesteak"!!!, which stopped me in my tracks. She said this because just a few weeks ago we had cheesesteak from a vendor in the Short North. So I pondered trying a cheesesteak sandwich from Jersey Mikes and I'm so glad that I did!! It was a #56 and it had grilled onions , mushrooms, jalapeños, chipotle mayonnaise, and of course cheese!!! The thing was so piping hot that I couldn't help burning my lips and tongue trying to devour it! The two guys that were behind the counter at the time Todd and Luke were very helpful in persuading me as to which of the three cheesesteak subs on the menu to purchase. And they expressed to us just how much they valued their jobs and how much pride they take in their work. So even though I'll still yearn for a cold sub from time to time , I'll also be enjoying a few more cheesesteaks from this location. read more

What a nightmare - employees can't do a refund, after they sell a combo, with drinks that are hot and no ice! When asked why, I got "I get Minimum Wage and thinking is for corp people! I first had Jersey Mike's ~20 years ago in Pickerington. I honestly wasn't that impressed back then, so it took this long for me to try them again. Maybe my taste buds have changed, but I really enjoy their subs now. This location in Hilliard has friendly and quick service as well. Their subs in my opinion is on the more expensive side, especially for a non-toasted sub. But otherwise, they're a good option for when you're craving a sub! read more

I think the owner and staff has changed. Unless you go in person, your order will always be wrong. The few times I've been there in person, the staff is rude and seem like they could care less. For years and years it was the same staff and they were always great! Never had any problems. Now it seems to be grumpy teens with bad attitudes. Also not as clean as it used to be to be. I've been coming here for years, and I hate to leave a bad review but recently I have been disappointed The last two times I have tried to call in my orders, nobody answered the phone. The first time, I was driving home from Cincinnati, and figured I'd call me order in since I was extremely hungry. I made several calls over a 40 minute period, and nobody answered. When I arrived, there was only one customer in the store and I called the last time a few minutes before my arrival. There were 4-5 problems working, and one girl was just leaning against the wall on her phone. I placed my order for my cheesesteak, and waited for it to be cooked and the food was fine. The same thing happened last time basically, except when I got there, there was probably 7-8 people in line. I was driving and called a few times, and I ended up pulling over, creating an account and placing my order. It wasn't the end of the world, but between both days calling multiple times without any answer, it's inexcusable in my opinion. I picked up my sub and got it home, and I looked like someone stepped on it or sat on it. Obviously, I don't think that's what happened, but it was my girlfriends first time eating here, and I told her she would love it, then I showed her the sandwich in the picture and she looked at it, then looked at me and thought I was crazy. Poor service, sandwich sat for 30 minutes while employee told me it wasn't ready, but it was. Tried to blame me for not asking for my order, meanwhile I had actually asked for my order multiple times and was ignored and originally cashier knew my name for my orders. Ordered two sandwiches, one hot and one cold. Upon opening second sandwich (cold sandwich) it was on the wrong bread with wrong ingredients and worst of all, it had hair in it. First time I have seen this happen in years. Both sandwiches ultimately went in trash due to order accuracy/quality. Disgusting service. Go to Penn Station instead where the employees are kind and your order is made accurately. Tried to reach out to franchisee owner on multiple service tickets but was ignored. I have always had wonderful experiences at Jersey Mike's. My sandwich is always made perfectly with employees that smile, are genuine and seem to be happy. This location, however, it's totally different experience. This was the first time my order was made incorrectly. I only asked for one item to be left out. They put it on half of my sandwich but not the other half. And one of the employees was on the phone with either his parents or a girlfriend in an argument clearly for the whole restaurant to here. He did not move when I needed to get by him so I could get to the bathroom. The woman that rang me up was also on the phone I believe with her daughter. I did not mind that as much as she was not in sight of the restaurant as she was in the kitchen. However I found this experience to be very unlike a typical Jersey Mike's and not very inviting. I will continue to support Jersey Mike's, but, I will never come back to this location read more

These guys work pretty hard to make a good sandwich. I've been a sporadic customer for years, but now that I can walk here, my husband and I come a bit more frequently. There are 3 sizes of subs and you can choose white or wheat. They also make wraps. They can toss together tuna or chicken salad as well, but only the tuna is on the menu. I have asked for chicken salad and they make it without complaint. I try to be courteous and not order it when there is a line behind me, and always tip the staff. read more

This time I ordered a hot sub - a chicken Philly for my fiancé and a steak Philly for myself. The sandwich was dry. Also, I wasn't offered the ability to add anything on it. They come with onions and peppers--nothing else. Before I could request Mayo and other toppings, it was already wrapped up to go. I wasn't even asked. I'd prefer not to pay $8 for just meat and cheese. Lacking in flavor. I'd just stick with the cold sandwiches. They are what makes my review 4 stars. read more

VERY RUDE guy named Wade or Wayne making our sandwiches. we asked for rosemary bread, had one left, which turned out to be as hard and stale as the other two white bread sandwiches. In the last three trips I have never got an order correct. to spend nearly $15 on a bowl and not get the double meat and cheese ordered, to have it cold and the cheese not melted? Good place to go for a no nonsense submarine sandwich. I went with the Italian on this visit. It was packed with meat, and since I got it Mike's style, it also had copious amounts of red vinaigrette, salt, pepper and oregano. The sub was very filling and reasonably priced. What I liked best is Jersey Mike didn't try to reinvent the Italian. A sub should be basic. They don't need sweet sauce on them or any of that other syrupy garbage (e.g. Firehouse and Quizno's). Subs, in my opinion, are not meant to be freakin' confectioneries. Jersey Mike's subs are savory and simple, and simple to me is better. read more

Unwilling to accept responsibility for such errors, instead blames the customer for ordering online and without confirming the menu w this location prior to placing the order. Walked in after grocery shopping at Kroger down the plaza. It was 6:58pm. We walked in came up to the counter and only then were we greeted by the lady at the register shouting "we're closed! "we close at 7 on Sundays". Which I was unaware of, but regardless we got no hello or apology, just immediate rudeness. If you were closed, your "open" sign is on and lit, and the door is unlocked. I worked in food service for 7 years and I get how annoying it is when people come in right before close but we ALWAYS served them because, well, you're technically open. We were between Jersey Mike's and the Chinese restaurant in the plaza and I was telling my boyfriend how I've never had Jersey Mike's but have heard rave reviews from friends, so we decided on there. Great food, friendly staff, and they work hard to move things along. Room for improvement; needs a process for pickup orders. Some places have a sign for where to stand, this location didn't. You might have to wait while other sandwiches are made, unless you're the type to speak up. FAAAGGGGEDABOUTIT Been a fan of these subs for a while, but now I will break it down for you. 1. The Bun!!! Key to any good sub (or sandwich). Jersey Mike's makes their own and it is crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. Perfect!! 2. Meat - I almost always get the Jersey Mike's Original (#13) which has a great mix of ham, capicola, proscuitini, salami and provolone. High quality meats, stacked neatly and good sized portions. 3. Toppings - To each his own!! I get it Mike's way which has oregano, salt/pepper, and the JUICE - red vinegar and oil. Usually I throw on pickles and banana peppers. If you're feeling frisky, they now have a hot pepper relish - but a little of this goes a long way!! It is a little pricier than you standard five dollar footlong, but it is easy to see in the meats and toppings where the extra money goes. Head and shoulders above any other chain of subs IMHO.
