We told the woman at the register that it was our first visit, and she was very helpful. She told us the Joya's Breakfast Sandwich was their most popular sandwich, so we both ordered one. It comes on a pav-tato roll with bacon, cheesy eggs, chutneys and chives. I thought it was excellent. It has a distinctive flavor and a little bit of a kick. Cindy noticed the heat more than I did, but she really liked the sandwich and especially loved the pav-tato roll. Everything tasted fresh, the portion size was great for brunch, and we both finished the whole thing. I had the Rose Mocha. The rose was pretty subtle to me, but it was a very good mocha regardless. Cindy had coffee and said it was excellent. Joya's is small and cozy, and it stayed busy during our visit around 11 AM. There were usually three or four people in line at the register, but service was quick. Our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes and the sandwiches in about 5-7 minutes. I also got a kick out of the self-serve water station: sparkling H2O is "fancy water," iced H2O is "cold water, very sad," and ambient H2O is "just water, kinda mid." Little touches like that give the place personality. The prices may be a little more than some places, but the portions were good, everything tasted fresh, and the quality made it feel worthwhile. I ordered the Kati Roll and the chicken sandwich for my husband to go. The Kati roll is the best savory meal I've had in months! The first bite made my eyes go round with how flavorful it was. It had a bit of sweetness that balanced with the other flavors so beautifully. The chicken sandwich was also a 10/10 from my husband, despite being eaten an hour after ordering. Though, if we had to pick one, we'd say the Kati roll would win. We were seated almost immediately after ordering. Despite how busy it was, it didn't feel over-crowded. They told us about 45 min for our food, since they were so busy and backed up, but our food arrived not even 20 minutes later. Also, everyone we interacted with was so kind and pleasant!
