Loved the nut mixed salad with chicken. I didn't expect to find the grapes working so well with the balsamic, greens, nuts, and cheese. It was a sleeper hit for me. Give me a toasty thick cut sourdough and I'm set! The caprese chicken panini was good too but it was not on the same level. The establishment is spacious and airy but I wish the decorating inside wall didn't block the window views; i didn't realize until later that there were a bunch of nice window seats over there. This was my first visit to Jason's Deli but it won't be my last. This is a typical deli - you order your sandwich at the counter and it's delivered to your table. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches - many available as a combo or as a half-and-half with soup or salad. And, for you salad lovers, there is a very good looking salad bar. I didn't come to a deli looking for a salad so I can't say anything other than it really LOOKED GOOD. The dining area is somewhat reminiscent of a NYC deli - open, loud and lively. I had the Spicy Sicilian Sub and my wife had the Smokey Jack Panini. Both came with some really good chips. Both sandwiches were excellent and are something we'd order again. BONUS - the man who took our order explained that our orders also included FREE ICE CREAM. I stopped by Jason's Deli for dinner and decided to go with one of their classic sandwiches -- the quarter Muffaletta special. If you've never had it before, the quarter Muffaletta is literally a quarter of the full round sandwich, which honestly ends up being a perfect portion for a lighter meal. The traditional Muffaletta comes stacked with ham, salami, provolone cheese, and their signature olive tapenade -- a mix of green and black olives with onions and pimentos -- all served on a round roll and slightly warmed. They also offer a turkey version with the same olive spread, but I went with the traditional since I'm a big fan of ham and salami. The sandwich was really good. The meats were flavorful and the olive spread had just the right amount of salty, briny bite without overpowering everything else. When it's warmed slightly, all those flavors come together really nicely. The special also comes with chips and another side. They had about five varieties of chips to choose from, and for my extra side I went with a cup of the Chicken Pot Pie soup. The soup had great flavor and was served nice and hot, but it was definitely on the thicker side -- almost more like a casserole than a traditional soup. Still comforting and tasty though. To finish it all off, I grabbed an Arnold Palmer (half iced tea, half lemonade), which was refreshing and the perfect drink to wash everything down. Overall, it was a solid dinner -- flavorful sandwich, comforting soup, and a refreshing drink. The menu look great, originally I thought I'm just gonna stop by for a sandwich, but saw they have the Chicken Alfredo, gotta go with the Alfredo The staff is nice and friendly, waited for like 6-7 minutes and is already calling my name, I'm like what this? Stopped here for a quick dinner. I ordered the California Club. It had roasted turkey, bacon, Swiss, guacamole, tomato, field greens, and mayo on a flaky croissant. My side was guacamole and chips. The gal that took my order was super friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was fairly busy for 7:30pm. My sandwich was very good but my complaint is there was a ton of field greens and little meat. It appeared as if I ordered a salad on a croissant. I am disappointed in how much meat was on the sandwich for the price of $12.89. It was definitely overpriced. I hope they reduce the amount of lettuce and add more meat or I won't be coming back again. The guacamole and chips were fresh and very good. I had a flavored tea to drink. It was very good. I would like to stay by saying the people working there were lovely, I didn't know much about this place and they were friendly and very kind to me. The reason I won't be back is the food. The people working made it correctly and they did what the were supposed to do I just think it isn't good quality food. The Mac and cheese was worse than microwaving some Stouffer's. The club sandwich I had was just mi at best. The best part of the meal was the baked lays. So the place did nothing wrong employee wise it's just I don't think the food was up to par. First time trying this place because I was craving pasta salad and this was one of the first places to pop up on uber eats. The vegetable soup was by FAR my favorite, tastes like you'd cook it at home all day (super flavorful). The pasta salad was okay, didn't taste the Italian dressing in it really at all, and it could've used more ingredients like tomato's or even cheese. The fruit was definitely fresh and tasted great minus the strawberries.. those looked and tasted actually so bad I threw them out. For my build your own salad I thought it was missing my tomatoes due to there being hardly any but it looked and tasted great! Very excited to discover Jason's Deli in Columbus. We frequented their Henderson, Nv location 3-4 times a week. That's how good it is. They offer a vast array of sandwich combinations, salad bar and a fountain drink station. You'll also find fresh brewed iced tea. Add to that the free ice cream and you can see the formula is a winner. A crew of great people behind the scenes and a spacious dining room make this a go-to dinner hour eatery. It's cafeteria style and THEY deliver your entrees! It would be easy, almost understandable, for a set up like this to have a less than desirable product. All the food options at Jason's are above average. Pro Tip: I do a manager's special of half sandwich and chips with beef chili. Went with the family so it was a decent group. I am disappointed they don't have paper cups so I am removing a star since they used to have paper cups. Going all plastic is a step backwards. I was also disappointed the zucchini grillini is gone, but at least they still had my normal zucchini garden pasta. My family had their normal beef eaters and glad it had the option to come with fruit. Another had a panini. No issues with the order. Stopped in for lunch today as we were out running some errands in the area. I ordered the Reuben while my wife had a caprese chicken panini. He panini was supposed to come with chips and a pickle. Instead, she received fruit and no pickle. The Reuben was....mid? First of all, the Thousand Island they use is super sweet, which is weird. But the actual bad part is the corned beef. It has the texture and flavor of microwaved roast beef. It doesn't taste like anything and has the texture of rubber. I LOVE corned beef and THIS ain't it. I don't know where they get their meat, but they need to do some QC on them AND check tickets before they go out for accuracy. I met some coworkers here for a meeting after work. I didn't order the salad bar here for a long time, but I wanted something other than a sandwich and the salad bar sounded good at the time. The problem is that the salad bar is no longer unlimited. You get one bowl that is not even that large. So you can get either a small salad or one of the other options like potato salad etc. There is no room for both. So, with a drink and one salad, I was over $13.00. Total ripoff. We came upon Jason's Deli in Yelp and the menu really was appealing and everything sounded delicious! We decided to order a California Club and a Reuben The Great... but much daughter didn't want to have the sauerkraut on the sandwich; she wanted it on the side. After placing our order through Yelp/GrubHub, I called and spoke with Nick. He was so friendly and very funny, such a great personality!! If they still had the ingredients for the Cuban they used to make, my stomach would have insisted on a full five star rating. Alas, they do not. I always get the pastrami with provolone on French bread when I'm here. Partly because it's pretty good and most places I go to for sandwiches don't have pastrami, but mostly because their menu is a a bit overwhelming. You'll want to hunt down one of their carry out menus because the full menu isn't on display behind the register. The first time I went I was so overwhelmed with where and what to order and how the salad bar works that I almost left. I am a giant ball of anxiety and new things terrify me, what can I say? My kids like it here for a free ice cream cones. I like having the ability to make a root beer float. I'm not really sure if that's technically allowed, but no one has yelled at me yet so I gonna go on living my best root beer float life. Assuming next time I go the root beer is fixed, that is.
