I was in today at 11:30 AM and had the best guest service experience from Becca. She was sweeping the dining room but as everyone came in she greeted them with a huge smile and asked if they had been in before. She helped many new customers on how the system works as well as telling them about some of her favorite items. She was also helping at the register, putting carryout 3 rd party delivery orders together and being a team player to the rest of her co- workers. I have been in the hospitality/ restaurant business as an executive for 44 years. Becca was a great brand ambassador that cared about every guest coming through the doors, had a great knowledge on all products served, and ensured your cafe was neat, clean and organized. I hope she is recognized- I would come back just due to my interaction with her. What a delight! read more

I learned about this place when I first Google about local pastry shop and found this. Although they are a franchise, they are absolutely amazing!! I ordered a dozen for work and it was gone in a jiffy! The service is great and they explain how the process works. Their ambiance is soft and they have sit-down inside and outdoor as well. They have a great many options including lunch sandwiches if you are looking for something quick. They are business casual and family friendly. read more

Interesting that Paris baguette was founded in South Korea? Did I read that right? This location is very welcoming with outside tables for two and gorgeous plants. It shares a parking lot with a sushi restaurant, so sometimes finding a spot can get tricky. Once inside it is easy to maneuver. There's plenty of sweet or savory pastries, as well as salads, wraps, and salads. The cakes are beautiful! I signed up with the app and I occasionally get offers like "free pastry when you buy a drink. The workers are friendly and helpful, and they gladly heat up your pastry if you ask. I was underwhelmed by the Easton location. This was handy today, so I figured I'd give them another chance. Not much better. Service was better: more friendly, and the lady with the French accent brought my coffee out to me, which helped the experience and atmosphere. This is a chain that pretends to be like a French bakery. It's not. At least not any of the ones I went to in Paris and Normandy. Hard to achieve in a strip mall in America, I'm sure, but very little reminds me of those at all. Service, appearance, or food. The pastries are beautiful. Stunning, even, sometimes. They currently have a Dubai chocolate "pizza" that looked great. The flavor, though, is lacking. I got a pain au chocolat, figuring I'd go with a classic and they would do it well. Nope. 9am and it seemed like it was from yesterday. Again, looked good, but was too dry, with little chocolate and little flavor in the pastry itself. We have good bakeries in town, that can do better than this place that seems interested in the surface only. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible, but for a place acting like an authentic French bakery it is a big disappointment. (Not a fan of Tous Les Jours either, same issues.) I also got a cookie butter latte, iced. And once again: looked impressive, tasted meh. Just sweetness, no other flavors. It was a useful caffeine injection, and pretty, but flavor was lacking. Oh, well. Decent parking along the strip. Handy along the edge of Polaris. Great service, for myself and several other patrons interacting with several other staff, all good. Not sure why I haven't stopped by here as they've been open a while and now have 3 locations in the city. It's a lot like Tous Les Jours, but seems to have a selection of Americanized flavors for their baked goods in my opinion. And they change their inventory every once in a while to spruce things up. Both bakeries are good, just different. We tried the mini garlic croissants, a 4 cheese quiche pastry, some sort of puffed pastry with coffee flavoring, curry bun, and the milk bread. Delicious! We came early enough that they weren't running out of anything. Seems they have sandwiches here. And coffee. It's cute. The chairs and tables definitely gave me Europe/eating in the open air vibes. The place is clean and has plenty of seatings but there were many empty shelves when I visited. My husband and I ordered a fruit tart, tiramisu cake, coffee and tea-it was around $40, super expensive in my opinion. Our favorite was the fruit tart. It had large pieces of fresh berries and the custard was not overwhelmingly sweet. The crust was fresh and not soggy. Tiramisu cake was a huge disappointment. I'm not entirely sure how a Nutella sweet cream cold foam cold brew ends up bitter, but they sure managed to do that! I did not finish that particular drink, which is disappointing given the price. The pastries were aggressively average, but they do have a very wide selection of them. The woman at the counter was obviously new, but very friendly and tried her best, and I was deeply impressed with what I assume was the manager coming out to run two checkout station simultaneously. I was very excited for this to open close to home. Unfortunately, the first experience was not good and left a lot to be desired. Service did not seem very friendly or approachable. I did not go in the morning, but in the evening, so maybe the staff was tired? Many things were already out by then like the pastel de nata. I did not see a spot for the jalapeño cream cheese croissaint. I hope they bring that back as it was a favorite. I got 2 king cream donuts and 2 croissaint donuts. The croissaint donuts are my favorite and they were good. I found the king cream donuts to be bigger in size at this location. However, we found that they had no cream at all! I don't think they have another donut resembling the king cream, so it was very odd that there was no cream at all in either. We did not even finish them, because it ended up being just a dry, stale tasting donut with a very greasy bottom. Super disappointed. read more

So we walked around looking at the cases with all the pastries. They were kinda picked over but for being that late I'm sure they were done baking for the day. I just got this Strawberry Chocolate Cake. Took it home to enjoy. It was moist and light. It didn't have a rich chocolate flavor like I was craving but was still good. And it was like $8 for a slice. My most recent visit, I tried the iced pistachio latte. The coffee was smooth, and the pistachio flavor wasn't too sweet or overpowering. I really enjoyed it. The pistachio supreme croissant was a miss for me because it was dunked in an artificial green pistachio flavored icing that was sickenly sweet. The pistachio cream filling was really good, though! (I scraped off some of the icing so I actually taste it!). I would recommend getting the chocolate supreme croissant instead. It is so much better!!! The pistachio mochi donut was also a miss because of the pistachio icing. The other thing I tried was a chocolate chip pastry topped with a vanilla pastry cream and strawberries. We got a large iced caramel macchiato, pain au chocolat, mini strawberry lemon cream croissant, and a chocolate supreme croissant. Listen, I took one bite of that chocolate supreme croissant and immediately regretted my decision not to order more stuff. I swear I tried so hard to save some for my husband but I literally could not stop eating it! My second fave was the pain au chocolat, it's sort of like the one from Starbucks, but twice the size, and tastes wayyy better. What a fun new place in Polaris! Right next to Kura Conveyor belt sushi, is Paris Baguette. They also have a location in Easton, across from Forbidden Root. The place is light and bright and has that same aesthetic as Tous les Jours by campus. Like there, I saw alot of people working on their laptops and computers. Because it was their grand opening weekend and space was cramped, my friend had a hard time navigating between tables and actually twisted her ankle trying to get to the bathroom. The service was also a bit slow, but again, it was opening weekend and I'm adjustments need to be made to get the right flow going. A few people in front of us were also taking their time, reviewing all the delicious options (which I totally understand!), but it didn't cause a slight traffic jam in the line flow to the register. I'm not sure there's enough room and space between the bakery cases. So a look into that might solve some frustration for those who know what they want. Now, for the most important part...the food! As expected, the pastries & breads were all beautiful! You definitely eat with your eyes first here. As beautiful as the baked goods looked, it was even more delicious. Honestly, I have been to other Asian bakeries in Columbus, and I think that the flavors here are more intense. It's still slightly less sweet than American bakeries, but you can definitely taste richer notes and taste profile in their chocolate, cheese, and fruit flavors comparatively. Some highlights for me were the croquettes, croissant donut, & mochi ring. These delivered in both flavor and texture. Usually, I like to try new things at each visit, but honestly, it's gonna be hard not to do repeats of those three items next time I go.
