How could we be so lucky!!!! The staff were so welcoming, kind, and patient. Their whole vibe just gives a sense of calm. The dessert and coffee--just WOW! The the delicate macarons had the perfect intensity of flavor. I also tried the poundcake slice--this was the perfect accompaniment to my coffee. Its texture was reminiscent of the exterior of a French Canelé (which if you know is divine!!) Lastly I got their most popular drink, the Einspänner. This was so delightful. The sweet cream with a touch of cocoa powder made this almost like drinking a tiramisu!! I cannot wait to go back!!

I walked in to two girls who didn't acknowledge me until I said hi. One girl behind the counter proceeded to drink her drink and not look me in the eye or say I could order. This was a different matcha flavor so I was excited to try it. It tasted good but was nothing extraordinary. Props for a more unique flavor though. I wanted to try the ice cream but the indifferent reception to the shop didn't make me want to spend more money there. While my drink was being made these three young boys came in. They were playing with the money in the tip jar. I thought maybe they were related to one of the girls as the girls ignored them too until they asked for money from the jar. The girls said that it was their tip jar. The boys were then harassing the girls asking for beer "rootbeer" when I walked out.

Looking at the menu board and around the display, there was a wide variety of primarily cupcakes and the like and all sorts of flavors. It would be nice to see a little more variety, but I can't fault someone for selling what they sell. Plus, that cinnamon roll was SOOOO good. I brought it into the office and had everyone drooling. Oops! The place was cozy and quaint on the inside. Dark but welcoming. The worker was also very friendly and helped guide me to another place to find some coffee (which didn't end up working out, but I appreciated the effort). This is definitely a place I would visit again for a quick treat in the future, though maybe not necessarily the best for a breakfast-on-the-go (as much as I would love a cupcake every morning!).

Everyone was so bright and friendly. I was taking extra time looking at the menu, but the person taking my order didn't rush me at all and basically told me to take all the time I needed. I knew about the black sesame latte (which is what finally brought me in). As a lover of all things black sesame, I HAD to try it. That being said, their other fall specials sounded amazing too. The latte was perfection - I ordered it with almond milk (a personal preference) and half sweet. The barista was very honest with me and when I inquired about the sweetness, she suggested I go half sweet. I was definitely not lead astray! The black sesame came through perfectly, the nutty flavor melding beautifully with the espresso. The fig flavor was a delight at the end of each sip for me. A top tier combo! In addition to the latte, we ordered the Apple oat muffin. Wow! The muffin was perfectly moist and light, and the top was to die for. There was a healthy amount of apple pieces in the muffin that was a lovely surprise. I often find muffins to be a hit or miss, sometimes venturing into the world of cake, or being too dry. This was perfect and I want to go back and try the blueberry orange (paired with the mango sticky rice matcha- how intriguing!). They also have an assortment of savory foods as well that I'll have to try! What a lovely cafe. I'm sad I didn't get out there sooner, but thrilled to have discovered it :)
