Awful time here. They were very unprofessional and did not listen to any of the things I asked for, which was important because I got my nails done for prom. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and they painted a very tacky version of what I showed. I asked for very short acrylics over and over again and they kept assuring me that they'd cut them but at the end of my visit I still had claws instead of nails. I was in tears because of how awful they treated me, the horrible job they did to my nails and the overpriced expense I paid. I went up to a way better nail salon in the Renton highlands called queen nails and they fixed my nails and did a perfect job and I've gone there ever since. I am NOT pleased with my last experience. I went on a ladies day out to have a pedi hoping to have a great day. The technician was not careful with her long nails and it was very painful on my toes. In addition, she was harsh using the pedi tools, and cut my left big toe until it bled! She tried to stop the bleeding by using too much pressure, and I had to tell her to please leave it alone because she was hurting me so much. Initially, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and didn't say much about the pain until it was unbearable. Afterward, I discreetly spoke with whom I assumed to be management. That person told me that mistakes happen and she could only offer me $5 off of my visit. :( In my view, businesses need to fairly reimburse clients when mistakes happen. A $5 reimbursement was a slap in the face. I will likely take my business elsewhere next time. Customer service is lacking at Diamond Nails. Too bad, because it is so close to where I live. Typically, I tip very well when I've had at least a moderately good experience, but I did not tip that day. read more

Well, I have been coming here for about 3-4 years. Regularly. For waxings, acrylics and pedis. They used to do an amazing job. I have started going to a salon in federal way even though I live in kent and sometimes Renton is just more convenient. I went to diamond today. Why? Convenience, to try and give them the benefit of the doubt yet again. My acrylics turned out horrible as usual. Asked for them to work on my cuticles, he must have forgot and I was too irritated at the sloppy job to ask again. It's an unprofessional, messy job. I used to go to Diamond Nails on occasion to get a pedi with friends or an eyebrow wax. But after my last experience, I will never go again. The nail tech did a horrible shellac job on my nails. She filed them unevenly, she did not let me cure the shellac twice between every coat like you are supposed to, and the color was uneven. I got up the courage to go back in about a half an hour after I left to politely tell them I was really sorry, but I was unhappy with the job she did on my nails. After looking at my nails, the owner of the shop said my nails didn't look that bad. She did offer to fix them if I would wait, but after having her say they didn't look that bad, I felt like they would not do a quality job if I had them fixed. Two days later the top coat of shellac is peeling off. What a waste of money and disappointing customer service. read more

The pedicure was ok but Lele did my pedicure way better my first visit here so I recommend going to her for a pedicure. My nails look good but could be a little better. Maybe next time I will try Mya to see if I get better results. Overall the nail salon is close to home and a lot better than Serenity nails at the West Field Mall. It was my first time here. I decided to stop in while my car was in at Big O Tires. It was clean and a friendly environment. I was greeted and seated right away (Mind you it's 2pm on a Monday.) The lady that started my nails was kind and when I asked her to change something halfway she had no problem. Another women painted my nails. Then the first lady finished my design. First thing, I asked them questions about my nails which seemed to be annoying them. Then pricing kept going up. No I'm not paying $40.00 to get my nails done. One filed nail was totally crooked. I decided not to get my nails polished because owner became a frothing dog with rabies. She said total was $20.00 and continued with her bad English. The ladies here are very sweet and I feel thorough when it comes to detail. Good location to my house. Came in for a mani/pedi. ($30) service was ok/good. My fault for coming close to closing but lady up front was nice. Pedi was alright wish she spent more time using the pumice stone. Then came the mani. Since they were closing soon the fromt desk lady ran around collecting payment forcing a tip before the services were complete. She was slightly rough and cut my nail cuticle pretty good!!! (Bleeding/Throbbing) I could see them scatter and get alcohol to throw on it. All i was worried about was getting an infection as I see they leave to go outside,touch money and touch there faces all with the gloves they continue to use on you. Disappointed I already paid for the service and tipped them even after she hurt me and my nail color wasn't quit to the nail. Overall experience was better than other places they still herd you through like cattle. Next time I will come ALOT sooner in the day and have them be more careful with my cuticles! I'm unsure as to why this salon has so many poor reviews! Their staff is friendly, and they remember you every time you come in (regardless of how many months you've been away). They're clean and sterile, their shellac always lasts me up to three weeks and unlike other nail salons, they take their time with you no matter how busy they are! I love this place. I been going for 2yrs now and I enjoy it everytime. I see LILLY and she is Amazing! She takes her time, makes sure every nail is perfect. Sometimes It take longer because she pays so much attention to every nail but Im OK with it. All the girls there are very nice and want to make you feel comfortable. I love this place. It was my go-to during my pregnancy. In fact, a manicure and pedicure were my biweekly treats to myself. I come less often now because I get less me-time, but when I do, they still greet me with a warm hello and ask how my (now toddler) son and I have been doing. Came here after work one day around 6pm to get a fill on my acrylics and a polish change. I normally go to another salon which is awesome, but I live very close to this one so I figured I'd give it a try. I walk in and ask for a fill. The guy looks at my nails and says that I don't need one. Um...excuse me? do you want my business or not? My nails were quite grown out mind you. He tells me to pick out a color so I do and sit down and wait. He has me seen almost immediately and first words out of his mouth are "oh, you don't get your acrylics done here." Why does that matter? At this point I should have walked out but I really needed at least a polish change. He begins grinding off the sparklies from my old polish and begins a fill. He kept yanking on my right hand and my thumb so hard I thought it was going to pop out of the socket. Today while I am typing this, it still hurts! Anyways... I go to pay and he refuses my card. Said I need to walk next door to BECU and take out cash. I was sitting RIGHT NEXT to the credit card terminal! He said they'd charge me a fee. I don't care...it was 50 cents, but he still made me go next door. A lady waiting heard this and ended up leaving disgusted that they were pretty much refusing my money lol. I came back, paid, gave a tip, and he was going to buff my nails one more time before the polish. He GROUND OFF MY CUTICLES! Instead of trimming them he ground them off and made 6 out of my 10 fingers bleed. The polish job was so horrible when I got home I ended up redoing it myself. This was my third and final time going here, and the second time I've been cut (2 different techs) initially the girl began the process of soaking off my shellac however like 5 people came in with no available techs and the acetone sat on my nails for 30 minutes which is wayyy yoo long so I took the foil off myself and the polish just flaked off. When I went to pay the owner he asked if I could go next door to the BECU cash machine and get cash so he didn't have to run my card, costing him a fee. Well-becu was out of 20's so the only option was to take out 100 which I wasnt about to do...I then go BACK and tell him I can write him a check and he says "it's ok, I take your card. " so apparently now he is willing to pay the 35 cent debit machine fee. A quick trip to the salon after work turned into almost 2 hours of nonsense. Made an appointment, in person, several days before I wanted to come in with my mother for pedicures. I had a card with the time written down, and they had their scheduling book open on the counter with the correct time and my appointment info when I arrived. They insisted I was 30 minutes late and had taken several customers in front us. "Would you want to wait 20 minutes?" I showed them the appointment book and the card, indicating I was indeed on time and correct, but they offered no reason or apology. They said they could squeeze us in in 5 minutes (Gee, thanks, since we had appointments). Well, those 5 minutes turned into 20, then 30, still waiting. We went ahead with the pedicures, but I won't be going back. They were rude, and there are WAY too many other nail places in the area to give this a second chance. Super ghetto! read more

WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I came in excited to get my nails done because this was a new place for me and close to my house. I wanted to get my acrylics redone meaning i needed gel removal. The lady literally ripped my nails off! So yeah, my first reaction was not a pleasant one. The lady said they did have the liquid but it takes too long so she did not do it. To cut the nails, they use actual nail clippers rather than the ones that look like dog nail clippers. Since they used these, my nails turned out crooked. I asked the lady to fix them and she said she will after. So, after she files them and they are still crooked so i ask for her to fix them. She really FAKE filed the nail as if i wasn't going to notice. She also did not cut or fix up my cuticles which is usually part of the nail process. Her nails were also so long that they were pinching me the entire time. Then when i go to wash my hands, they move all my stuff which would have been fine if they had asked, but they didn't. My stuff was moved because they put me with another lady. Right then the lady told me to pay so I take out my debit card. The lady says "Go next door and get cash," but i did not want to pay in cash. She repeats "Go next door and get cash," so i asked "Why?" The lady did not say anything. I then said "Why is me paying with my card a problem? I am okay with the extra charge to my card." The lady then snatches my card and brings me my receipt and demands for a tip. I did not leave the lady a tip because of my bad experience. The lady then began to paint my nails and i asked for a design and she said it was $5. I told her no because i just paid for my nails, not knowing there would be an extra charge for a design because no where else has charged me extra. Once my nails were done, i wait for them to dry. Within this time, another woman pays with her card and she got no hassle. I ask why she didn't tell this woman to go get cash. She replied with an attitude "We ASKED you if you wanted to go get cash." She continues to YELL at me and say i had too much attitude. I came here a couple of times for a polish change when i don't feel like painting my own nails plus it's close to where i live anyway. On their sign it's 5$ for a normal polish change, i always go with the same length nails and was always charged that amount. i came in a few days ago and just wanted a polish change so at first everything is normal. but then she doesn't cut my nails she starts filing, so i tell her to cut it. and then she started speaking viet to her coworkers saying she's going to charge me 7$ because my nails are "extra long" like really? (she didn't know i was viet, i responded to some stuff she said in viet to her coworkers, basically telling her i knew what they were talking about but she just acted dumb or like she had no idea what i was saying) i didn't even ask for a different shape, patterns or anything. i even brought in my own polish. She literally just had to cut straight. i didn't care that she wanted to charge me two dollars extra but then she started talking like it was the hardest task to do. her coworkers were even like "how are u gonna charge her 7 when it's 5" but that's all they did. then she was telling her coworkers "she ran in this store because it said 5$" and laughed, like yes that is one of the reasons why i came here, tf. I came in for a pedi after a hectic day of work. I was sat down immediately, but it took a good 30 minutes before someone finally came over to start on my feet. Now, I understand places get busy but the water was already cold by then. It was pretty obvious that the lady and her coworker were gossiping about my feet since she made a face and started laughing when she was using the pumice on my feet. Made me feel uncomfortable, and spent the remainder of my pedi chatting amongst themselves. I had also brought a picture in of a design I wanted to have done. The lady told me that someone else would have to do it. So I waited another 30 min after the pedi for the other lady to finish up with her customer. The design came out looking like a blob and nothing like the picture. I asked if she could make a change to it she said no and that it would look better in a different color (in which she refused to change it as well). Long story short, I asked her to take it off, throw some glitter on my toes and let me be on with my day. By then I had already been there for over 2 hours. When it was time to pay, another lady stood over me watching to see how much I tipped (which now in retrospect, was a lot more than I should have) and when I gave it back to her, she said something to the lady in their language.
