Sometimes we head to the Salon for some peaceful time and pampering ourselves! But instead of some soothing time, the only voices you hear are the workers! Conversations with each other across the room! Not that I want to be nosy about what they're saying but whose to know they're talking about the customers inside! Very tacky and very unprofessional! I'm surprised this place has such bad reviews. Besides the fact that the lady over the phone had some issues understanding what I was saying when I was making the initial appointment, and they could use a polish/color update, and the cash only in 2018 is meh.. I thought there were a lot of positives! Pros: - $20 shellac mani! - they were accommodating when I showed up 20 mins early for my appt. - I took my Mom to treat her to a deluxe pedi ($35) and her nail tech doesn't say much but paid so much attention to detail and was sweet enough to keep turning the massage chair on - they are very clean and wear gloves throughout - my girl Tammy took her time when she was doing my nails and regular pedi ($25), kept going back to get little spots she missed with cuticle scissors throughout, and she even told me she to look at the color I chose and asked if I liked it on- which I didn't, then got up to choose one she thought was more fitting. It's rare that they care about such little things at nail shops! This is actually the first time I've gone to a nail salon in Seattle, the shellac (gel) mani was such a deal, regular pedi was more than what I'm used to but they also do a lot of extras- razoring off callouses, lavender scrub, oils, lotion, hot stone, hot towel, etc. when Tammy was done with my mani, she looked at my nails with a satisfied look on her face, gave my hand a squeeze, and thanked me. Decided to come here while my car was getting a tune up across the street. Needless to say, it was my first time here. First off they have a sign that says 'credit card machine down, cash only.' So I asked the lady who was doing my nails if they normally accept credit cards, she said no, cash only. Why do they have that sign then? I had a mani/pedi. When I walked in they asked if I wanted shellac, I said no. They asked why not? I said because I don't want to. They said you should do shellac... I DON'T WANT SHELLAC!!!!! Pedicure turned out ok, but my manicure was hideous. The gal nipped my cuticle 3 times, I had to ask her to please not cut me. Then she couldn't even shape my nails uniformly. They turned out oval, round, square and all different lengths. I showed the manager what her workers are doing, and she tried to fix it but I had already been there for 1.5 hours and my car was ready so I had to go. I will not be back here and I highly recommend anyone interested in trying this place out, not to come here. read more

I've came here 4 times with my mom, because it is close to us. The first 2 times were average for shellac still with some attitude. This last time was it for me. I had a normal manicure. I came in and told the lady that a friend had told me $10 for manicure she said no it's $15, I said ok $15 is fine. She walked over to her table while speaking Vietnamese to her coworker I sat down after selecting a nail polish then she said told me, "ok, $10 is fine I'll just skip the hand and arm massage", I said ok thank you I won't need the massage. She started with the manicure with an attitude, I pulled out my debit card in between and she said "no card, cash and check only" (which they've had the "debit machine is broken" sign for ever), I told her I can run next door to the ATM after the service, she said no, go now (without a please and with an attitude) I said ok no problem I'll go now. I came back and assumed I was to pay after the service but she insisted that I pay right away. I gave her a $20 and gave me $5 back, I said, alright sure, you can keep the $5 for your tip. She didn't say thank you. She then proceeded with the manicure and insisted that I get a shellac or a powder polish, I said no thank you I just want a regular manicure, she gave me more of an attitude and kept insisting I kept saying maybe next time thank you. I had to correct her more than five times about my nails being filed crooked and the missing spots with the nail polish, she never once apologized and caught more attitude. She cut me close to my cuticle and the polish was burning on it. She then was done, I placed my fingers in front of the fan and she pulled out her iPad. After my nails dried, I said what is next? She didn't look at me and waved bye to me, I said, well can I have some lotion please, she said oh yeah and pulled out some oil and squished some on my nails and then pointed to the lotion and kept reading on her IPad. She didn't finish with a top coat either. I grabbed my coat and purse and she NEVER looked up at me and never once did I hear thank you. I just walked out. WORST SERVICE EVER! I have been coming here for over 20 years and one of the staff members has treated me poorly over and over. Kim who normally does my nails said today she has other customers and still didn't do them to mu satisfaction. The attitude I get each time I still give a tip. I would give this place zero stars if possible. I tried reaching out to the owner, left two messages, but had zero success. My mom came there and was treated horribly. She went in for a mani and pedi and the pedi was so rough, the lady almost scraped her foot. It was red when she got home. To the owner- you should be happy you have customers coming to your business, but you need a major staffing change and an attitude adjustment. You are lucky I am not reporting you to BBB or let alone filing a lawsuit against your business for the sher pain you caused on my mother's foot. My mom had to stop everything in the middle, pay, and she ended up leaving. I don't care about money but this isn't how you treat customers. This was my second time at fancy nails. And my second bad experience. The first time I went with some friends that had been going there for years. They said hi to them, talked to them and was friendly to them. They did not say ONE WORD to me. The gal who did my toes was SO ROUGH! Poking me and letting the machine get really hot on my skin. It felt like they were going out of there way to make me feel uncomfortable. So let's fast forward to yesterday (1/7/2023) Lets start off by saying the customer service was AGAIN HORRIBLE! Nobody greeted me & all the girl did was point at the chair she wanted me to sit in. And the pedicure I got was extremely mediocre. They don't do wax, hot towels & the "hot rocks" weren't even hot at all. Not to mention the girl doing my pedicure was making me feel so uncomfortable. Pointing at me, looking me up and down and then talking to her friend. There's several nail salons in the areas that have FANTASTIC SERVICE AND PEDICURES! GO TO ROSE NAILS! I promise, they're AMAZING! Last thing I was to mention is how unkept it was in there. It did not look clean, the tools came out of a dirty, busted plastic container. Pros: Easy to get a walk-in, quick, affordable Cons: Rude nail techs, not a relaxing experience like a manicure should be (that's where the quick part comes in: they won't spend much time on you or pamper you), unprofessional/messy workplace (tools getting sanitized on the sink counter where you wash your hands, cup ramen sitting at the top of an automated?? trash can that wouldn't close) I may be biased/spoiled bc I've been living in the OC for the past few years. I've also never gotten my nails done in Washington but you really get exactly what you pay for. I was out and needed a pedicure so I stopped in here cause they didn't appear too busy. The lady that helped me at first got my water together then told me alone would be right with me. She had another appointment so I had to wait for a little bit. She ended up doing the ladies toes then doing mines right after. She was very quick but efficient during my time here. They do a warm rock massage after the lotion and oil massage. It was very nice to ha r that extra heated massage. The massage chair was also a nice addition to the pedicure. The pedicure was $25 unlike the usual $20 pedicures that you get at other places but like I said the ladies were fast and efficient. I will try them again sure if I'm in the area. read more

To start I walked in telling them I need a color change and a nail fixed. She handed me a container and said let me know when your color is off.... I thought I was paying for you to change my color but okay. Moving on. I sit down, she fixes a nail, by the way the old color is still all over my nail but she does nothing about it. My nail that she fixed is like a block on my finger. Not the same shape as the others and definitely not thin. The color she put on the nail was not neat at all and like I said before the old color was showing. Overall, they were terrible. They didn't know what they were doing and when you tell them and show them what you want your nails to look like, they don't do that at all. I will never go back and I would not recommend. There is absolutely no other nail salon that can top this place when it comes to skill and customer service. I used to travel 45 minutes every 7- 10 days to have a mani and pedi. My nails grow pretty fast, and I don't like seeing the space in between. I've tried going to several other salons for convenience and to save on gas, but I could never leave fully satisfied. Mina, Lynn and their staff are incredibly talented. I always get french, and they do a perfect job every time. You can tell they really take pride in customer service also. Mina knows every customer by their first name. She remembers little things you might have told her during small talk and even follows up on them... "Liz, how did the pie turn out that you baked 5 weeks ago?" A couple of years ago, I moved to CA. I haven't seen them since. Ok, so I didn't want to do a bad review but I have to. I'll just be honest. I needed to get my nails done for Sunday and it was Saturday late almost 7 pm. I called my nail technician where I regularly go or used to go and found out they closed. So I got upset and started to look for a place where to go immediately. I called 3 places and they all said it was too late and they didn't have time so I was like ok it's late I understand. I was getting sad because my nails were so bad and didn't want to go to this party on Sunday with my nails looking all ugly. I was driving by Fred Meyer when I saw this place and decided to call and ask, they told me to come in within 15 minutes so I didn't even think about it just went inside. The lady who did my nails was Tammy very nice super super nice lady and very helpful too. She helped me pick colors and she gave me a really good pedi. She took her time and did everything really good. I was in love with my nails. Got many compliments and was definitely thinking about going back for refill. I am very careful with my nails always I get them done but this is the first time my nails don't even last a week. I got them Saturday night and the first one fell out on Friday night, then the second one on Saturday morning, then the third one on Saturday night. I was saving them to glued them back but at the same time I was like WTH this is so wrong! They haven't even last a week it was $70 in total + good tip because it was late and they got me in but now I feel like it wasn't worth it at all. They fell off so easy. I'm sad and disappointed! I only have one hand with nails right now. Don't think I'll be coming back sadly! At least I got to get my nails done for Sunday lol read more

The shop is clean, which is important to me. You can make an appointment or just drop in, and you're always greeted with a smile. The last two times I made appointments and they were not ready and the last one I waited 20 minutes then walked out. Today I came in with my sister and without an appointment. It was busy so they started my sister and I said I would go get cash and come right back. When I came back more people had come in and they took them before me! First off they only except cash yet they say that their credit card machine is temporarily down. What an inconvenience! Because, ironically, although temporary, it's been out of order for four months. Secondly, I really don't think that they observe Washington state health code laws as I've seen them use unclean/unsterilized supplies. When I mentioned it, they said that it was clean, begrudgingly finally got a new set of tools needed for a pedicure. Third, most of their pedicure techs are entirely too rough, and don't realize that your little toes are connected to a nervous system! I plan on calling the health department and the BBB. I had a good experience in shop. The people were nice and patient . however the quality of my shellac manicure was seriously lacking. I got French tip before I went on vacation the next day, by the time i was on the plane the next morning there were bubbles and peeling I was so sad!!
