I was in desperate need for a fill. It'd been two months since my first builder gel set. I randomly called fairwood nails 6/9/10 to see if they did builder gel! They do, YES!! they got me in same day quickly. I arrived 30 minutes early they had me pick my color and accommodated me immediately. I worked with Kim in the beginning and then Anna continued my service. Both women were very nice. I will be back for all my builder gel needs, etc. Anna taught me builder and hard gel are the same thing. Essentially hard gel is the brand name. She also gave me a cute little trinket two gold pins with pearls on them and a rewards card. So nice!! Awesome vibe. It was my first time there and I enjoyed my experience. 10/10. read more

I decided to try this place after reading the reviews. It was easy to book an appointment for a pedicure. When I got there I just had to pick a color and the lady was ready for me. Overall impressive was ok. Nothing to really rave about. Everything seemed clean. There were several customers there. I asked the lady next to me if she goes there often and she yes for years. The lady that serviced me seemed nice. However, I didn't feel she did a great job at scrubbing the heal. Her filing was a bit off. The painting was ok. Funny she asked if I wanted 2 coats of color polish. I said yes. The thing that bothered me the MOST was that they left the door opened and the flies came in. I was totally uncomfortable having to shoo them away. Definitely will not go back. Oh plus they charge $0.50 extra when using a credit card. read more

I was referred to Fairwood Nails by a new friend. Anna, the owner is an absolute gem. She's super kind and very accommodating. I was able to make an appointment for a lash refill very quickly and easily even though it's the holiday season and lots of salons are full/busy. My lash refill was fantastic and Anna is REALLY good. She is super fast and made sure to fill every lash of mine. She even removed some of my older ones that were grown out too far and replaced them. Got my nails done here a week ago and the entire experience was just not great. It was my first time and I believe the lady was still training which is usually fine but everything was just not great. She told me she had an allergy to the acrylic which is understandable but I also felt like she was not too experienced. I asked for a simple design and it still looks like a 10 year old could've done better. From not measuring the nails to not measuring that the design would be the same size (it's a French tip and each nail has a different size tip) to one of my nails having a dent on the acrylic. Also the acrylic was clear which I have not seen it yet and less than 2 weeks later, I've already lost a few whole nails which is insane since my acrylics last at least 3 weeks fully. The painting was also done poorly and overall would not recommend or come back. I kept being asked if I liked it when she started and I felt pressured since I just felt like she couldn't do any better. read more

Man I'm sad to write this review, I came to fairwood nails because I got an acrylic set from another nail place and didn't like the shape/color, so I set an "appointment" for 4:30 to have them fix it. It wasn't until 5 that I was helped. I'm not even mad about waiting cause it's not that big a deal to have to wait but the lady started working on fixing my nails and would stop to finish someone else's then come back and continue working on mine. That happened about twice. After she took my nail polish off, she started filing to fix the shape like I'd asked. She was distracted and filed SO HARD that it filed a chunk of my nail off. Normally I'd suck it up and keep my mouth shut but it BURNED and was bleeding. She told me it was fine, tried hiding it by pulling my hand away from me when I tried to inspect it. When I told her she cut a chunk of my nail off, she told me that in order to have the shape I wanted she needed to file that part off? I told her that I'd pay or tip but I didn't want to continue cause I'm just not comfortable with that and to be honest I didn't want her messing up my finger even more. I would not come back or recommend this place to anyone. Went in to get my gel x removed and a regular manicure, , they sat me down right away since it wasn't too busy at the time. Not even 5 min into my services, people started coming in. Every associate was with aa customer including the owner who was the one doing my nails. But she keeps having to leave in the middle of my service to go and accommodate the new customers. She was not very friendly to me at all from the beginning. She was very nice and friendly to the new customers that came in to do services that are pricier. At one point She left me sitting in my chair for over 15 min while she went to start a full set on this other girl who came in after my services was started. At this point new customer just kept coming in and she keeps taking them in even though they do not have enough staff. I really wanted to like this place cus it's close to my home but idk yall. I got dip nails done on 10/20 and after 3 days, my pinky nail broke and my middle nail had a crack. I went in to get it fixed, then my middle finger nail broke again 3 days later so i went to get it fixed again. The nail tech said if i break it again Ima have to pay to get it fixed. Well now my whole nail came off. Ive been getting my nails done for 10 years and never in that time has dip powder nail broke so often. They usually last me 2-3 weeks with no problem. Staff was very friendly. Here are the negatives - chair was broken so I couldn't get a massage - when they clipped my nails she clipped my skin off my thumb - my nails are crooked see photo of thumb which they tried to fix but made it worse. They offered to fix the crooked pieces for free if I came back but I am leaving for vacation tomorrow so I couldn't. Won't be going back. read more

I've been coming to FWN for a year and have even brought my clients here. Every time you go they stamp a card and on the 10th visit you are supposed to get $10 off. The greedy owner wouldn't let me combine my cards for a discount and said next time. I've given her so much business and because she was greedy I will not return. The service has turned into the quick assembly line process and my shellac nail polish peeled off after a week. Don't waste your money they have broken chairs, hop between clients, make you wait to Finish your service, and do not sanitize their tubs after use. read more

I have been coming to Fairwood Nails with my daughters for four years. Usually, I just get my toes done but I was going on vacation and wanted a full set. I showed the guy a picture, and Kim said she could do it. What I got for $55 was unbelievable. There were bubbles all over, the top shiny coat peeled within a day, they were uneven and not filed down, and nothing close to the picture. Second time back. Got dip done and then a fill. First time I got my nails done for my wedding. They were literally perfect, Anna made sure of it. She took her time and they were very sturdy. Last me three weeks and i only broke two nails, both my fault. I wish I had taken a picture. This time, I went back to get them filled, Cindy took care of them. They were perfect. Exactly like the first time, including her rebuild of the two broken nails. I got a lil design for valentines day too. Paid $55, and gave a $20 tip so $75 all together. Just moved to Fairwood and so happy to find a nail salon that I love! Tamy did my nails, I came in with 3 broken ones and needed a fill and 3 new tips. She took the time to soak the broken ones and sand them rather than ripping them off like most salons (which makes my cringe everytime!). Great attention to detail, super sweet and very clean salon which I notice! The rest of the staff seemed great and I loved that the owner or manger was present and helping everyone as it got busy towards the end of my stay. Great location and experience! My gf and I frequent this location often and they always take amazing care of us. -They adhere to all COVID PPE restrictions. Mandatory masks, temp check, sanitize and sign-in at the door. With plexiglass between each station. -They are friendly. When they get busy things can get a little hectic in getting people checked but that's totally reasonable. -The prices are not outrages you high, we are happy with the level of service and quality of work the produce. 5/5 would recommend. read more

They are very friendly but I only go in for manicures and pedicures on natural nails. Their color selection for regular polish has gotten worse over the years so I normally bring my own polish. Prices have gone up a few dollars since the pandemic, like everywhere else. Overall a good place but nothing extra special besides the very nice owner. read more

Really good place to go! I loved my pedicure and manicure. However someone brought their dog into it when they were getting their nails done and I am highly allergic! I love dogs but I can't be around them too long or I have problems breathing. With covid already and then the dog I was having trouble breathing. Don't normally go to this place but I needed a last minute appointment for a pedicure before a wedding. The next day one of my small toenails on my left foot appeared to be infected. It was red, swollen and painful to touch. I was limping around because it hurt to walk on it. My technician was nice but they did obviously do not follow proper sanitizing protocols here. Last visit (Kim) was much better than this visit. After I got home I noticed my right toenail was much shorter than the other and looked puffy. She went "ham" on it, not sure why. If you zoom in on all the nails, you will see many flaws near the cuticle, so basically subpar. Maybe I picked the wrong polish as I think I have used this one myself and it is hard to make it look nice for some reason. I hate to write bad reviews, these woman work hard. The woman that did my pedicure was very nice and worked hard, I was there for an hour, seemed kind of long to me. I went there for acrylic nails with chrome powder with the owner, Anna last month. She told me fill is $40 so I came back to fill it today but end up she charged me $55 for it. She said I used chrome powder which is $10 extra but she didn't tell me before she put it on. Last month I did tip her good because she did a good job on my nails but don't like the way she have diff price for diff people. This is my second time went there and my last time! From seamless appointment booking through text all the way to the service, I can't recommend Lady Lam enough. Christine is very talented at her craft, she thoroughly explains the process of her services and products and you can tell she puts extreme care in the work she does. In the past I tried a few salons to get my Brazilian wax but none of them felt comfortable. My first experience at Lady Lam was so comfortable, Christine made sure I was well situated, was gentle and also distracted me with her wonderful presence. She is a wonderful listener and her studio space is well appointed. I also have for a couple facials with her and they were so relaxing! The prices for all of her services are very reasonable for the service that lasts for a long while. You will need to book with her well in advance (month + recommended) because she is in high demand. I'm going to continue to go to her for sugaring and facials until who knows when. Highly recommend booking an appointment with her!

I get my Brazilians/bikinis done often since this year with them. Every waxer I've had, makes me feel comfortable. I personally prefer their wax over sugaring elsewhere from experience, but everyone's body is different. The only reason I am giving a 4 stars is due to my visit with them the end of July, one of the girls had a used stick on the floor. She did mention that she was the only one working that evening. Which is hard on her I'm sure -- but the cleanliness that day wasn't the best and seeing that made me feel icky I didn't say anything because I didn't want to give her a hard time. But also my skin was a bit more irritated from getting my wax done by her after that day. So she might have just been a less experienced waxer. Other than that, no complaints thus far with them.
