Then set up a test drive the next morning with Chris S. He actually emailed me that night to say the truck would be ready for me and to ask for him personally . While driving 60 miles there, I get a text from Carol confirming my appointment 15 minutes before I get there. When I get there Angel greets me and tells me that Chris has the day off. REALLY ?? He told me to ask for him !! So , Angel tells me that truck was taken off the lot because of issues ? Yet , on their website they claimed the truck had gone through a 172 point inspection by their "Factory Certified Technician". These people should NOT be able to have a business ! read more

Sales team strung me out for two days, telling me they were working on sending me the purchase cost. Had my auto loan approved and waiting for the numbers to send a check. If you or someone you know has been scammed out of your identity information by this company please contact me as I believe they may be making false promises in order to collect personal information for unknown purposes, and I am currently seeking legal assistance to obtain class action status against Antelope Valley Mazda for these deceptive business practices. I found a vehicle that I liked on their website while they were closed. I decided I wanted it, so I went through the checkout process and applied for financing. I was immediately approved by the bank. I was provided with the loan interest rate, term, payment amount, etc.. I was then asked obtain insurance for the vehicle and to make an appointment for the following day to pick it up, all of which I did. I received a call in the morning BEFORE the dealership opened, I asked that the financing be verified before I make the three hour drive to pick up the car. I was told that they would call me back in the next half hour, and they did not. Two hours pass, and I called them back to find the status of my new car. I was told that someone had come in and bought it that morning. Weird, since I had bought it the day before, obtained a loan, purchased insurance and made an appointment to pick up the vehicle, and spoke on the phone with the dealership before this other customer even showed up. Their excuse....This is how sales works. It's first come first serve, find another vehicle. It was MY FAULT for not being at the dealership the moment they opened. Given the suspicious nature of this chain of events, the low vehicle price tag, the personal information that was provided to them and to third parties on the pretense that I had been approved to purchase the vehicle, and then basically being told to F*off by two difference employees (Mario in sales, and Carol who is in financing) I feel that this is potentially at very least and unethical business practice at very least, and now that it's done, I feel like I have just been scammed out of my identity, my credit score has taken a negative hit because of the multiple inquiries they made, and I'm out of pocket for the insurance they told me to purchase. read more

Really happy with my recent find and purchase. I found the used car in Carfax. Carol answered my call and answered my many questions with care. I drove all the way from the LA area because it seemed to good to pass up. Upon our arrival, Edwin assisted us with the purchase. The process was quick and painless but maybe it was because we didn't finance it. Regardless, I appreciate great customer service and integrity when buying a vehicle. Called Diamond Mazda on 6-29-21. Agreed to purchase a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica for their advertised price of $19,484.00. Took the day off from work, got my finances prepared & rented a vehicle to drive 6hrs from the Bay Area. Suddenly they raised the price by $2,400 less than 3hrs later claiming they reconditioned the car (basically a car detail), even though the dealership closes at 6pm and we last spoke at 5:45pm. Somehow they miraculously detailed the car & raised the price by $2,400 in those 15 minutes And they had the nerve to say "just like a house, the nicer it gets, the more expensive it gets" - like really?? Are you serious?? Never heard of a $2,400 car wash that takes place in less than 15 minutes. Needless to say, I did not purchase the car. Read their Yelp reviews for similar experiences from past customers. Always ask for the OUT THE DOOR price in writing to keep them from taking advantage of you & suddenly raising the price before you waste your time driving down there & wasting your day. They purposely avoid & stall giving you the out the door price because they have every intention of raising the price last minute. Like I said get it in writing before you drive all the way out to Lancaster in the middle of nowhere. Complete waste of my time. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Originally I loved it when it was " Lancaster Mazda". I bought my car there in 2019 and they had a great staff, with people who at least made it seem like they cared. When I bought my car, I purchased the top maintenance package available with it and was told the only thing I'll need to worry about is tires, and windshield wipers etc. When Justin was at the service department, that was exactly the case. Every fluid, every brake, everything was taken care of. As soon as he left and this new girl ( I think her name is Ashley) came in, the service department became absolute garbage. She didn't honor anything except an oil change for my vehicle and refused to do the rotors or brakes " until it was at a certain mileage", even though my rotors were causing my car to shake since they needed to be machined. So when I questioned her about everything, she was rude and basically said " I've been working for Ford for years. I know how this is supposed to work". She then refused to do any of the transmission flushes or anything under the maintenance package. So I will no longer go there for service. The moral of the story is, if you want a Mazda and maintenance and people to honor it, don't go to Diamond as long as she's there. Go to Hello Mazda in Valencia or Galpin down the hill. They'll at least be nicer and honor what you pay for. I won't go back there until she's gone. read more

If I could give the service department zero stars I would. I paid almost $2300 to have my car repaired and it left the shop worse than how it went in. I have taken my car back to Mazda several times and they always say they can't see an issue.. Meaning looking with their eyes but not actually taking anything apart to check. I took my car back to the service department on 12/21/21 and it's still there as of today (12/29/21). I haven't received any calls, emails, etc with an update and I've never experienced something like this ever. I've been calling for updates myself and up until yesterday I was told that there's nothing wrong with the car. After speaking with Customer Relations I received a call back from the Service Advisor who informed me that she was finally able to HEAR something that sounded wrong and that I would receive a call early today with an update... But here it is after 6 pm and I have yet to be called with an update. Can you imagine having to leave your car at the dealership for almost 10 days without even receiving a call??? Thank goodness I have another car to drive, even though I was forced to buy it after Mazda made my car unsafe to drive. Livid is an understatement at this point. read more

I walked onto the lot, considering the purchase of a Mazda3 or a Mazda6. I have a vehicle that I really enjoy, but unfortunately, it must be bought back by the manufacturer in the coming month. I walked onto the lot and was immediately met by a very courteous and helpful salesman, I explained that I was not a "buyer" today, but that I'd like to see and possibly test drive a couple of the cars. "Absolutely no problem" was the reply. In total, I spent nearly 2 hours at the dealership, going over the features and comparing the two models, and test driving three of them. I then met with the sales manager briefly, and was impressed with his approachability and friendliness as well. I was then escorted to the Ford dealer (same dealership) next door, to test drive a model that I had an interest in there. While they didn't have was I was looking for in stock, they were happy to do it. AV Mazda has my business, if, when the time comes, a Mazda is what I end up choosing (and at this point, that's exactly how it looks) Subsequent visits to other dealerships have shown me the value of a dealership that operates the way AV Mazda does! read more

I recently purchased a 2011 Subaru WRX from here. After purchasing the vehicle, Subaru service records showed previous subframe damage from the owner who traded in the vehicle. After learning about this I brought the car back in to the Mazda dealership to inform them of the damage. After meeting with Doug the general manager, they offered to cancel the contract and take back the vehicle. Just drove to AV Mazda 2.5 hours from San Diego to buy a car with a bank loan check. Alan the sales rep seemed nice enough however I told them I already had approved financing and did not want my credit pulled. They said it had to be pulled to which I replied that it did not and they cited the post 9/11 it had to pulled. One of the sales managers said it was because of the Patriot act, but the patriot act does not require car dealerships to pull credit. Then he said the OFAC which is the Office of Foreign Asset Controls frim the US Treasury Department. Which a check of the OFAC list would say if if a narcoterrorist and had sanctions. This check would be required if I was purchasing the car in cash. I then told the manager this and he then said it was a requirement because of the State of California. I told him to to provide the statue and he told me to look it up myself. Needless to say I'll be taking my pre-approved purchase to another place. STOP TELLING LIES. read more

Bought a 2021 Mazda3 Hatchback in April (over 4 months ago) and still have not received the license plates. It's been an absolute nightmare dealing with this business to get a status on my license plates. I've called over 15 times in the past month, most of the time getting transferred to an ashley russel voicemail. This person has never answered my calls or returned any of my voicemails. Most of the people who answered told me "oh its the DMV your license plates should be arriving anytime now", which is a complete and utter lie considering that my trip to triple AAA told me that the dealer never gave the DMV something in order for me to get my plates. Where is the option for ZERO STARS! Not once that I've been here during a service appointment has it been pleasant. The service department is counter productive and lazy. How are you going to give me a service appt. confirmation code and then call back and say the time I selected, which the site says available times, isn't available. You confirmed it when you gave me a confirmation code. Don't try to tell me its a request, its a booking. If you have a timeline issue, fix it. I bought my car from the guys at AV Ford and they were GREAT!! I highly recommend Ramsey and everyone in there! However it was a Mazda so that is where I scheduled my first maintenance appointment. It was for 10 am today. All they were doing was changing oil and giving me my complementary car wash. From the moment we walked in we were told to WAIT. Wait for the young lady to file papers apparently. There was already plenty of people in waiting area. It is now 2:15 pm and my car is STILL not ready!! Thank God my husband decided to take day off and take me to drop car off! I would never expect it to take soo long. The whole vibe at Mazda is totally different than Ford. Come on guys that's way too long! Customer service is Ok Now I am really pissed ! My car was finally finished at almost 3:00! Apparently it was the car wash that took forever! So when we walk in to pick it up again we are told to sit down to wait. This place loves to have people wait lol! It's obvious that they don't want to make customers feel valuable and reassure you that they will be with you soon. So when my husband commented that 5 hours is a long wait for an oil change and car wash the service advisor assistant who has ZERO customer service skills shot us a dirty look! Not doing simple services such as brakes but will document that they did is unacceptable not to mention poor business ethics. I saw a 2014 Ford Fusion Energi in the Autotrader on 10/22/17 and was interested in the out the door price. I had called several other dealers for similar types of cars only to find they charged $500 to $2000 in added fees to the purchase price before they added the tax and license fees. When I spoke to the Antelope Valley Mazda internet sales department they gave an out the door price I had trouble believing. $11,000 car price $12,147 out the door price that included tax, license, a full tank of gas and a car wash!!! Saving me a great deal. The Sales Manager, Frankie, was expecting me when the doors opened at 10am the following morning and had everything ready for me. Best purchasing experience for a car in a very long time. The car was everything I wanted and is a dream to drive. On top of that I was in and out of their location in 90 minutes, considering I drove 2 hours to pick it up, I was home for a late lunch. I left behind a 2001 Solara that had 400k miles on it, they even gave me a trade-in for it. Honestly I would have left it for nothing. Would I go back, yes I would!! read more

I recently had an emergency transmission fluid replacement there and they took me in pretty quick. I dropped it off at 9 and had it back by 12:30. It cost about $170, which sucks. But my Mazda 3 only takes a certain kind of transmission fluid the dealer has and every other shop in town was lying to me about how putting some other cheap stuff they had on hand would do just fine. If you do some research, it's not. The service was very nice and they got the car back to me by the time I expected. I think they also have an early drop-off box for keys if you have to drop your car off when they're not open. read more

Do not bring your car to their service department, their customer attention is rude and don't care about your complain if you have any. In my case they put all the car tires at maximum pressure (51psi) and when I was back to complain the lady in the service counter started asking me did you bring it here? are you sure the tires are at 51? and then they realize they did put the tires in the maximum pressure and did not even apologize, she just said here are the keys and the car is ready, I highly suggest you to look for other places in order you don't need to cross check everything is done your car at this dealer and avoid delays; I also tried to contact the manager of the service department by phone and never pick up the phone, also they never call me back and I left my contact details in the voice message..Sales team is great but service department has a lot to improve!! read more

I had driven a few cars, in my search for a new vehicle. Than came my fateful visit to AV Mazda. Buying a new car is a obviously an important decision, and I'm Very thorough, before I pull the trigger, so I wanted to test everything on my list, before making up my mind. I was pretty settled one particular car, I had driven, at another dealer, but I wanted to try the Mazda 3, and Mazda 6. My experience at AV Mazda was the antithesis of the more polite accommodating dealerships, I had visited, and will write about as well. I went in looking for a Mazda 3 first. It drove nice, but wasn't for me, so I went to the Mazda 6. I loved the way it drove, but I found the cloth seat to be uncomfortable, which was a shame, because it was the color I wanted. I found a Mazda 6, with leather seats, (I have a Really bad back), and asked to sit in it. The salesman was seemed a little pissed, that he had to get another set of keys. The leather seat fit me like a glove! Loved the interior, but not so much the color. I asked if the did dealer trades, which is a pretty common question, if we could work out a deal, so I could get the color I wanted. To my surprise, the salesman, said, "Why would I do a dealer trade, when I can sell you a car on my lot." Huh? Why would I drop bucks on a car I'm not going to be happy with? I've been a Service Adviser/Service Manager for 30 years, so I know how the business works. You don't want to loses a deal, because of the color of a car! I was a bit shocked at his answer, but I figured I'd press on, and deal with a Manager about a dealer trade. We went back into the show room, and I saw this Gorgeous car I had never seen before. It's Mazda's new, CX 3, and it was Exactly the color I wanted! I asked the salesman about it, and his reply was, "Well, it's smaller than a Mazda 6, and doesn't even have the power of a Mazda 3. Nice sales strategy! I Really wanted to drive it, but I though I'd at least get the numbers on the Mazda 6, and if he refused to let me drive it, I'd drive one elsewhere. I asked him again for a test drive, and the first shocker came from his mouth. "Make up your mind." In 40 years of car buying and all my experience in this business have I ever heard a salesman say something like that to a client. Make up my mind? You're job is to help me with that, by allowing me drive the vehicles his manufacturer makes. It being a new model, I'm sure Mazda Corp, would have liked for me to drive one, for a possible purchase! Well, I was there, so I thought, I'd at least see what kind of deal they could work on the 6, than tell him to grab the keys to the CX. While Filling out the credit, he asked me twice if I was married, why my wife's last name was different from mine, and if we were living together at the same address. Who is this guy?? Really? #1: Who cares, #2: None of your business = #3: Never ask those questions! Who trained this guy? Just fill the thing out, and not worry about one's personal life. I was livid by now, so I said, "Dude, you know what I'm willing to pay, so don't come back in here, and do the, "Let me talk to my Manager, to see if he'll budge game. Just tell me how much it is, and we'll go from there." When I though this guy couldn't Possibly say anything else to piss me off more, he replies, "Even if we're $100,00 over what you want to pay, you'd have a brand new car, with leather, and you wont have to drive your piece of shit CR-V anymore." My jaw dropped. My 1 year old CR-V. This guy just called a client's car a piece of shit. It could be 30 years old, and held together with duct tape, you Never insult a client's car. It's a Really a Bozo no, no, but he did. Long story short now, I split. There was a second where I was still curious as to what the Sales Manager, (A pretty nice guy actually), would come up with, but, after running an errand to pick up my wife, but I was now overcome with an urgency to just get the hell out of there, so I did, especially when I saw, they were running numbers on The Wrong Car!!!! The 6 with the Cloth interior I hated! Really!?!?!? I have Never dealt with such an unprofessional, inappropriate, impatient, and Rude dealership in All of my life. I picked up my wife, went to another Mazda store, drove the CX 3, and bought it, that day. Simple deal, great price, complete with a cup of coffee, a smile, and a car I Love! I had purchased my new Mustang from AV Ford, and had a great experience. I wouldn't buy a key chain from AV Mazda. I'll drive to the Valley for All of my services, parts, & accessories, for my new Mazda. Maybe it was just that one salesman, but, for me, I find people at the ground floor, are a reflection of a dealership's management. They lost a sale that day, and a customer for life. Not impressed with there service department. I have a maintenance package otherwise I would not go to them. Checking in your car or picking up your car always takes too long; they usually only have one person working there. I had an issue with my Bluetooth/hands free system. They fixed it but when using my iPod it still does not work correctly. Took it back in today for service asked them to look at it. Picked up my car; they said all was good, only to look at the paper work and it says to call Mazda regarding my issue. It may not seem like a big deal or important to them but I bought my car to have all 'the bells and whistles' and I want them to work. I guess I am just over there lack of 'great service'. I honestly will probably never but another Mazda because of there bad customer service. Wanted too add just got off the phone with Mazda and it needs a software update. The guy from Mazda said that normally the dealership would call not the customer. Now I have to bring it back! Just not what I want to do. read more

I went to AV Mazda to purchase a new RX-8. The sales representative was very nice at first, but proceeded to try and negotiate with me over monthly payments rather than the actual sale price of the vehicle. I went home and did some research, but couldn't really compare the prices of other dealerships because AV Mazda ignored my requests on what they were asking for the vehicle. When I couldn't get an e-mail back from the floor sales rep (Gio) or the internet sales person rep (Danyelle), I finally e-mailed the sales manager Mike. He responded to my inquiry with, "Katie, the rx 8 on the floor is an r3 spec car, rare, is that the one your talking about??? mike". There were six other vehicles exactly the same for sale at other dealerships within 250 miles of my home. I sent them a link to another dealership's price and asked if they could match or come close, and if they couldn't to please let me know. This was the last response I ever received from the Sales Team at AVMazda. After a week of trying to get the sales staff to respond to e-mails or phone calls concerning the actual price of the vehicle, I finally gave up and purchased the exact same vehicle from another dealership 100 miles away. These guys lost out on a sale; I was prepared to come up on the price I was willing to pay for the convenience of buying close to home. I wouldn't recommend purchasing from this dealership due to their lack of communication skills. Ironically, attempting to post this review on dealerrater.com got a fast response from the dealer (within six hours!). I suspect dealerrater.com is a scam, because the site posts positive reviews immediately, but my negative review has a "post date" two weeks after I submitted it. read more

I don't know why I keep going here. I've never had a good experience at the service department at AV Mazda. I've had every minor and major service done there until now. On a Saturday morning, I walked in 3 minutes after they opened to get my oil changed and the man working there turned me away because I didn't have an appointment. No compassion he said sorry but he didn't sound like he meant it. He said he could do it on Monday with an appointment. I've had my check engine light come on with my brand new Mazda 3 and the first two times I took it in there and they couldn't fix it. If you live in Antelope Valley I would never recommend you buy a Mazda, unless you're willing to drive down below for every service. I always leave AV Mazda upset. read more

I sold my Mother's 2016 Kia Sole to Diamond Mazda over a month ago, and have yet to receive payment. They purchased my Mother's car using the KBB instant cash offer, so we agreed on the purchase price, and they stated that it would be 2 weeks, and maybe a month before we would receive payment in the mail. The reason stated was "we don't process checks here at the dealership, only Corporate can issue checks", and "we have to do a clean DMV check", and so on. I have attempted 6 times to contact Diamond Mazda by phone, and no one will return my calls. My initial instinct was to walk out, once I knew that Diamond Mazda was unable to pay us on the spot. LESSON LEARNED. I have asked KBB.com to look into the matter. But, SELLER BEWARE ! You may never see a dime. I will now be forced to drive my 84 year old mother to the dealership, and confront the salesman Chris Spears face to face. See what new excuses they come up with, for not paying for a car they have likely already sold for a very good profit. read more
