I was far away, driving over 100 miles with my family, so I applied for the credit check online to get the process started and sent him the rest of the info needed via phone. He charged up the car in the meantime and got the paperwork started. I'd recommend George to anyone looking to buy a Chevy. I almost for got to mention Jorge, he handled the finance paperwork, explained everything thoroughly, and even gave my kid a piece of paper to draw on, keeping him entertained during the process. We had one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I've ever had, and we walked, and will be reporting them to the CFPB and BBB. We came in specifically because Antelope Valley Chevrolet's own website advertised a clear price for the exact vehicle we wanted (2026 Chevrolet Traverse LT, same VIN/stock number as the listing we screenshot). The advertised price was around $38,231 with their posted discounts. In-store, the numbers they presented were nowhere close. Instead of honoring the advertised pricing or clearly explaining, in writing, which discounts we didn't qualify for, we were pushed into a payment-focused conversation while the real selling price stayed inflated. On top of that, the deal sheet included thousands in dealer-installed add-ons (Cilajet paint sealant, Ghost Shield door edge/door cups, and an ELO GPS/theft product). We stated clearly we did not want those items and asked for a buyer's order with the advertised selling price and standard TTL/doc only. We were met with delays, vague answers, and a lack of transparency. We repeatedly requested an itemized out-the-door breakdown and it felt like they were doing everything possible to avoid showing clean numbers. Financing was another major issue. Jess was prequalified through Capital One and we explicitly asked that our credit be run only through Capital One one time. Despite that, we later saw indications that additional credit checks were run. We have requested a copy of any signed credit authorization and a list of every lender our information was submitted to, because this is not what we agreed to. The worst part was the customer service from the manager, James Gonzolas. He was rude, repeatedly interrupted us, and wouldn't let us finish explaining what we were requesting (a transparent breakdown and adherence to their own advertised price). He told us he had "no obligation" to help because we didn't buy a car, called us rude, and escalated the interaction instead of solving the problem. That is not acceptable behavior for someone in a management role and it matched the overall tone of the experience. We left because we couldn't get a straightforward, honest deal that matched what brought us in the door. If you're considering this dealership, protect yourself: 1. Screenshot the exact online listing with VIN/stock number before you go 2. Demand the itemized buyer's order/out-the-door number in writing before discussing monthly payments 3. Put your credit instructions in writing (who can run it, how many times, and with which lender) Transparency and respect shouldn't be this hard. I took my truck the A V Chevrolet for routine maintenance. I left 2 one hundred dollar bills and 5 twenty dollar bills in my center console. I didn't expect anyone to go through my vehicle, especially there because there is nothing in there to service. Later that evening when I went to make a bank deposit, I discovered that a 100 dollar bill had been stolen. I talked to the service manager and he said that they are not responsible for anything left in the vehicles that they service. I asked to speak to his boos, and announced to the service center customers to make sure not to leave anything of value in their vehicles, because they have thieves working there. The second manager immediately took me to an office and without admitting guilt, refunded my $100 off of my service fee. I higher recommend not doing any business at Antelope Valley Chevrolet. I reported the incident online to the police, but they haven't gotten back to me as of now. There should be a high level of trust between a business and its customer, and unfortunately, the employees here can't be trusted, so take your vehicle somewhere else to have it serviced. read more

Called the dealership to finalize the order. Spoke to Miguel a sales guy who reached out to his manager and they wanted to charge me an extra $6000. They do not honor the prices and discounts posted on the Chevy website. Reached out to Chevy and they said that they are independent dealerships so basically no help and useless. They will tell you that there are fine prints about the price being an estimate. But a 6k estimate difference on a 30k car is almost 17% margin of error. They couldn't tell me what the difference was. The website prices are very clear they break down the incentives and fees so it's really hard to argue that the price is wrong on the Chevy website. So there's no errors it's just bait and switch. This is why you cannot compete with Tesla or Rivian. The price you see on their website is what you will pay. I've try to give AV Chevy service a chance but the technician tend to always mess up my truck over small things. My vehicle within a few days after service had to return it back the next day. All the issues with my truck has always been Chevy techs always messing something up or lack of attention to detail. This time they forgot my coolant cap and who knows what else but caused my truck to overheat, oil pressure all over the place and causing my truck to overheat. The last time the oil system corroded and had metal shards in the engine had to pay for a whole new engine. When I took in multiple times for the same thing, they kept saying it was fix which was a lie and this was just last year. Also while all of this is happening the vehicle stayed with Chevy over 2 months. It only happens after being serviced here that something goes wrong. I've wasted about 3 months worth of service alone in the last couple of years and no one takes ownership of these problems. Don't go here if you value your vehicle and money. read more

I've had multiple frustrating experiences with AV Chevrolet, both on the sales and service side. On the sales side, I inquired about a lease they advertised for the 2025 Equinox EV 2LT at $239/mo with $2,995 down. When we spoke, they changed the due-at-signing amount to $6,995, $4,000 more than advertised, and removed incentives that were listed in the ad. This felt misleading and wasted my time. They also send out deceptive mailers that make it seem like you've won a prize or are getting an unbeatable price, but once you're in the door, the hard sell begins, and the numbers are far higher than what's advertised. On the service side, I brought in my 2017 Volt for a check engine light. I was told the $275 diagnostic fee would be waived if I had the repair done with the dealership. The "repair" turned out to be replacing the tires, but because the tire service is handled by a different department, the diagnostic fee was not waived because tire installation was handled by a separate department. I ended up paying much more than expected. The tire pricing was also unclear, what looked like $130 each in the main text ended up being $880 total in the smaller print. Everything was handled over text, with no phone call to confirm the work, which made me feel blindsided by the final bill. Between the deceptive advertising, confusing pricing, lack of clear communication, and the gap between what's promised and what's delivered, I left disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've had multiple horrible experiences with the service department at AV Chevy in the past. Parts would supposedly be ordered and never arrive, my car wouldn't get fixed, service advisors were rude or dismissive, and even with appointments my vehicle sometimes wouldn't get touched at all. Because of that history, my expectations were extremely low going in. I recently brought in my new Chevy Trax for an oil change and to address a couple of blown speakers. When I pulled into the service drive, a woman came out to "check me in," which honestly felt confusing and unnecessary--just an extra step before I ended up waiting again. Then my service advisor Karan came out, and everything changed. From the very beginning, Karan was friendly, upfront, honest, personable, and easy to work with. I explained the issues, and instead of giving me the usual runaround, he was immediately transparent. He told me they only had one electrical tech working, so the car likely wouldn't be diagnosed that day--which was frustrating since I had an appointment, but I appreciated the honesty. He asked if I could bring the car back later, but because of my past experiences, I told him I'd rather leave it there. I honestly didn't trust that if I took it home, it would ever get fixed. To my surprise, Karan called me the same day and said the car was already diagnosed. Let's be real--it wasn't exactly a difficult diagnosis (anyone could tell the speakers were blown), but the point is he followed through. He told me the parts were ordered and would arrive in about five days, and asked if I wanted to pick the car up. I told him to keep it until it was fixed. From there on, communication was excellent. Karan gave me regular updates, clear timelines, and even told me which days he would be off and who to contact if I needed anything. That level of communication is rare--especially at this dealership. Unfortunately, as expected, the parts took an absurd amount of time to arrive (which has always been a problem here). I dropped the car off on 12/6, and by 12/19, it still wasn't done. At that point, Karan genuinely felt bad and--because he's an actual human being--got me into a loaner car, which I truly appreciated. I kept the loaner until my Trax was finally finished on 12/27. When I picked up my car, the speakers honestly sounded better than they did from the factory. Karan took the time to explain exactly what was done, made sure I understood everything, and even walked me over to the counter to settle up. He was professional, patient, and thorough from start to finish. Karan is the perfect service advisor. People in this department--and honestly in the industry--need to learn from him. I wouldn't even consider working with another advisor here. That said, the parts department is a complete joke. They don't seem to care, their delays put massive stress on service advisors, and ultimately the customer ends up frustrated with the wrong person. The advisors take the heat for problems they didn't create. All rebates/offers were already factored in (which most other dealers don't do on the Chevy website), but still, the price was very good. When I called to get an actual quote, the salesman Miguel said he would check with his managers and get back to me. When he called me back, he said the price was roughly $10,000 higher due to dealer-added options. Your classic unctuous bait-and-switch. Just awful. I ended up buying from Ryan Powell at Simi Valley Chevrolet, a terrific deal with no shameless dealer pork added on. Avoid this place like the plague. And in anticipation of a manager or owner from AV Chevy responding to this review and telling me I can contact them as all they want to do is provide a great customer experience, to that I say if you wanted to provide a great customer experience you would not advertise a low price and then try to tack on thousands and thousands of dollars of unwanted dealer options to the price of your cars.
