Look, if you have to take your car to get fixed it's one of those things that isn't fun - it costs money, it's inconvenient - and it can be expensive. I've had to go to Diamond Ford a couple times for service in the past 6 mo and they've taken good care of me. Jessica and the rest of the service advisors and the team there have taken care of me for a couple of different issues. They're knowledgeable and really try to do the best. One of the worse dealerships in Lancaster, I took my truck there to get fixed last Wednesday, they said they needed to order a part and that it would be fixed today. I had to drive to the dealership to find out on the status because no one had the courtesy to call and let me know that the truck would not be repaired until tomorrow???!!! Why do they get 5 stars? The environment didn't feel cliquish. Like them against the customers. I like the way the four-person workstations are set up. It's a good use of space and it keeps the conversation separate from other customers hearing what's happening with your car. Anyway... Barret - He was the person assigned to me. He's a walking car google. Lucky Diamond Ford to have him! This guy is awesome! However, sometimes too much info in the morning when I'm rushing can be a bit much. But when I came back, I was ready for the intel on my car. Barret let loose with an avalanche of info regarding my car. He then answered all my counter questions along with mental diagrams. He listened well as I dropped a couple of innuendos like "ok what's your spill" (sales talk) or caught one of my casual cuss words. No prob he acknowledged it and kept talking. But what was most surprising were the rates. In the back of my head, I was like is that it? Is that what my cost will be? There must be a mistake let me hurry up and get out of here! Deann - Very cool! She is a ride-or-die-hard-core Raider fan! But when she got on a roll watch out ! But yeah she was accommodating with a vibrant personality. Jessica - She's the voice (face) of the service center. I think... I believe I set my appointment up with her. She was very pleasant with a professional voice and demeanor. She answered my questions regarding an estimate so that I would not go over my budget. I got an estimate before I dropped my car off and ended up paying less! Dan - Just laid low in the background and let the show go down. Only acknowledging indirectly with a simple snort of bad or good when his opinion matters. I liked that! The main thing they accomplished was a "Trustworthy Vibe." Us customers want to trust the place we take our cars to, and I feel that they accomplished that! Overall the customer experience was excellent and I appreciate that! *Oh yeah I had been there before. Where do I start... Well the first incident was during an oil change.. I get my car, (2017 Ford Focus Hatchback), back from Diamond Ford, and a week or two later there is oil coming from underneath my car. . So I open the hood and there is oil EVERYWHERE!!.. I take it back to Ford and they had failed to put back on the oil cap. So, I was driving for a good week or more with super low, if any oil. They "fix it". They refilled my oil cleaned my engine from the mess. And I notice oil dripping again, a week or two later. I open the hood and the pad on the the hood that goes between the hood and engine was still SOAKING with oil. It was next to impossible to get them to reclean my engine and finally replace the ruined pad. My husband had to pick up the pad from them after repeatedly calling to have their mistake fixed. They did extend my warranty because their mistake. But what good is a warranty with such crappy service. Now the more recent incidents. I take my car back because the check engine light comes on. I deal with an employee named Barret Howle.. They keep my car for three weeks, at this time trying to verify the extended warranty, they had given me from their last screw up. They can not find it. So my husband finally finds his copy and then they say the parts will be there in four days. I get a rental car, finally. The parts service that the warranty is under is supposed to cover the bill. Lowe and behold! My car is magically fixed a day later with transmission parts that were not going to be available for four days. But they say my battery needs replacement. My battery is under warranty from who I bought it from so I tell them I will pick it up and take it to the battery place. I get to Diamond Ford, see Barret Howle, and my battery is sitting bare on the ground. He points to it and says it is right there. I ask to at least get it wrapped in a bag, in case it is leaking. I am in a rental car, I tell him. So, Barret comes back with a plastic grocery bag hands it to me and drops this heavy battery right into my hands! walks away. I say "Hey! could you at least help me get it to my car?".. He responds rudely with "I am busy." I say back to him "Hey!! You did see the handicap plates on my car?! They are not just there for decoration!" (I am not supposed to do any heavy lifting with my spine condition.) I carry this battery to the car. Sure enough I get a backache and sciatica, nearly instantly. I take it to the battery shop and they keep it over night, to make sure it is fine. There is nothing wrong with it. I bring it back, return the rental car and later that day Barret calls me to tell me my car is ready. I get dropped off at Diamond Ford, and I am standing outside for them to drive my car around. My hands are full. Barret walks out and asks me about the rental papers for the rent a car. I didnt think I had them. This RUDE jerk, reaches down into my purse, and grabs some papers!!! Says "Oh! here it is!" I tell him "You are not paying for it, the parts place, is!!" Barret responds "OH! Yeah!" Hand the papers back to me. Looking foolish. I get my car and the VERY NEXT DAY, the check engine light COMES BACK ON!! So, I take it to another shop to see what they had repaired, and got a report. Diamond Ford, had not even touched a damn thing on my car, while trying to claim to have repaired my slipping transmission, that is still slipping, and they didn't even repair the problem that was on the code reader for my check engine light! A sensor. Almost $3,000.00 in repairs they claimed to have done!! I take my car back to them again.. Barret was not there.. So I schedule my car to go in when he is working. Today. Monday. I go there at 8:00 am. Barret is not showing. Finally one of the employees say he is OFF TODAY!! but we had scheduled it with them for today when he is there!.. Now, I do not know what to do with my screwed up car, that I found out there is a recall on the transmission... Diamond Ford is the worst!!! Do not deal with them. while the help of barret howle was invaluable, the work of your technicians leave me wondering, should i ever leave my safety up to them? after we had the tcm teplaced we started noticing a grind from the front of our car. i took it to my mechanic and he said it was the transmission. so i took it back to diamond ford and they said, it was the brakes, and that in order for them to tell if it was the transmission i would have to have the brakes done. well damnit your technicians 2 time would have me spend good money after shitty. i then took it to another mechanic and woe if it wasnt the transmission after all. your mechanics are the worst. and that is what im putting on yelp, and everywhere else that i can. read more

But after being texted/called to come back and told by their receptionist Roxanne that they were open to renegotiating the price, I went back(with 10k in cash, AND willing to pay more than what I had offered originally on the car) and was met by the manager "Hamid" at the front door. He told me "time for negotiation is over" and that "I wanted to steal all his profit"(his words). I decided to give Diamond Ford (Previously AV Ford) another try now that they're under new ownership. Unfortunately nothing has changed and the "Where else are you going to go" mentality continues. A while back I assisted my in-laws on getting a new vehicle and the salesman was trying to get him to pay sticker with multiple up-sales plus a ridiculous markup. I stepped in to assist and the salesman and sales manager got frustrated that I wouldn't allow them to take advantage of him. They asked that they "only want to talk to the buyer". After hours of haggling, they were able to buy a vehicle, with a price a little more reasonable. As for the service department, the excuses are still the same. You can never reach your service writer and you always get an excuse saying they're not in, just walked out, in a meeting, or that the phones are down or have issues because they're new. When you leave your information and or leave a voicemail, you never get called back. This is if you get lucky to be forwarded to someone that doesn't hang up on you, which unfortunately happens often. Last incident occurred was between service and parts on the last week of July 2022. I made an appointment for the following week (which was scary because other dealerships are booked almost a month out), to address a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 20-2171. I called service to ensure the parts are in for the work to get done because I didn't want to waste a trip just to get parts ordered. When I finally reached someone with numerous days and attempts later, they stated that they need to ensure that my vehicle qualified to be covered under the TSB. I asked if they could read it because it was clear and simple and my vehicle had the same issue that it explained (seat clicking on my F150). Because they didn't try to attempt to think and look into it for me, they forwarded me to parts so I could just pay for it worst case scenario. When I talked with them, they were as equally lost and put me on hold after arguing why service sent me to them. After about 10 minutes on hold they said that the TSB was suspended due to parts availability, and they don't have the parts locally. I laughed stating that the parts are 2x 1" x ¾" heater hose and 2 hose clamps. They repeated that they don't have those parts and couldn't help me. I feel that this was a crappy way to not look into the matter and was an easy excuse due to COVID and overall parts availability. I ended up going to AutoZone and getting the parts and fixing it myself, the parts cost was around 7ish dollars and took about 30mins to fix. I truly hit the reset button to wipe the slate clean and give them another try, only to be given the runaround on multiple occasions, this is not uncommon for the AV nowadays. They haven't changed a bit, if they did it's potentially worse. I will be going back to Jim Burke Ford in Bakersfield, which is more of a drive and about a month or more wait for service appointments, but at least they try hard to earn your business. They have good people and give you good service, additionally, their salesmen aren't money hungry vultures that try to take advantage of senior citizens and women. Heck, even their waiting rooms have complementary fresh fruit, bagels, water, coffee, etc. (before COVID of course). read more

Drove an hour and a half to the middle of nowhere to buy a car. Only to find this dealer makes their money by adding $3,000 worth of BS packages not included in the sticker price. After spending literally my entire day talking with them, looking at the car, and waiting on the finance department- I come to find out the car does not include the warranty I was told it did. Mind you, this information was corrected and given to me AFTER I gave them all my information, time, and approval to hard pull my credit. OK, now I'm STILL willing to purchase the car if they can do something to make up for their mistake, and wasting my time. But no, the manager was completely unaccommodating and only offered to sell me their $3,000 6 month warranty (which only provides service at that specific dealer in the middle of nowhere Lancaster). My sales rep was a good guy and is not at fault- it's the manager that was unwilling to make any condolences or even negotiate whatsoever on the sticker price of the car- even after this point. And I assumed I'd get good service because it was a ford/mazda dealership rather than a random used car lot. Now I know. Do not visit Diamond Ford or Mazda. read more

Do you remember a time when taking your vehicle to the dealership meant quality workmanship? Work you could TRUST? I had my car in for one issue but was talking to Dan, my service writer about another issue I was having. He told me what it was based off his experience and known issues. Thankfully I have an extended warranty as I needed a new engine. Repairs are done. I pick up my vehicle and within a day/15 miles I can tell something is wrong with my suspension, I just can't pinpoint what. I take the backroads and drive slowly to work the next day because I am fortunate to work for a body shop. They put my car in the air and find the pinch bolt to my ball joint is missing on one side and appeared to only be finger tightened (and quickly becoming unscrewed) on the right side. Process that for a minute. That is ABSOLUTELY something that could have killed me or others because of someone's failure to repair it properly. It is also a failure in quality control. It is a disgrace that this is work from a DEALERSHIP. I get that there is human error but there's a reason there is quality control and it isn't being done. Management needs to do better. UPPER MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO DO BETTER. Did I mention Emmy car was there over three weeks and I didn't get ONE phone call on the status of my car? Most people would go in SCREAMING about the bad service or how their errors could've killed them and the would get compensation for their time and inconvenience. I didn't even get my car vacuumed! I'm disgusted by all of it but thankful I didn't have an accident. read more

Yikes!!This dealership USED TO have a really great service department. Great communication, they did great work and they were fairly priced (not cheap, but fair because the work was quality and could be trusted). We have been going there for YEARS! Unfortunately that is no longer going to be the case moving forward. They had our truck for WEEKS. When I dropped it off I told them it was likely a damaged wire. They ignored that, and eventually replaced the thermostat. We were told it was finally done and fixed, so we picked it up. We paid $3400 only to get 8.3 MILES from the dealership and it broke down WITH THE SAME PROBLEM THEY SAID THEY FIXED. After having to get the truck TOWED HOME, I called the dealership to get their explanation of why we paid $3400 after WEEKS of waiting only to pick up a truck that has THE SAME PROBLEM as when we dropped it off to be fixed. Of course, when I called, I was auto sent to voicemail, so I called again and asked to speak with a manager. The receptionist was lovely and went above and beyond to try and get me a person to speak with. She ended up connecting me with the Service Manager, Dante. If you are looking for polite and professional behavior - do not speak with Dante the Service Manager. To say that he was dismissive, defensive and rude would be a tremendous understatement. His profound advice was for us to have it towed it to them again. Umm, why would I do that? We took the truck to a different dealership. Turns out it WAS a chewed up wire that had to be replaced AND the thermostat Diamond installed was poorly installed on top of being faulty!! Thankfully the Ford guarantee took care of their subpar work. In a nutshell... - you will almost always get voicemail. - you will never get an update. - when you do get a human, they are not going to have any answers for you. - HERE is the big one: you can't pay them to a job and TRUST that they did it to completion, nor can you expect them to have any sense of making it right when they mess up. read more

Had a chk engine light on, vacuum purge on the ODB, this is a recall on my 2017 Fiesta, contacted Diamond ford on the internet Jane I believe was the person. After 15 minutes she told me that she could not locate any recall for it but would check with service after more time she then asked for my phone number name e-mail and would have a service Rep contact me. Well that never happened had to get it repaired else where so I could drive it and not damage it. After reading the reviews I'm glad I didn't buy my car there or have it serviced no wonder the reviews are so low. read more

Part of owning/purchasing a Lincoln is that you are supposed to receive exceptional customer service and a receive a complimentary car wash everytime that you have your car serviced. This service department likes you to wait a ridiculous amount of time after your car service has been finished for them to wash your car because they dont like to do be bothered, after grossly overcharging you for just a basic oil change and tire rotation. I do not recommend taking your car here for service. I will not buy a car here or have my car serviced at this dealership again! I took my 2004 Tbird into Diamond Ford in July 11 2022, because it had a check engine light on and I needed to get it smog, they started taking it apart and complaining they aren't able to get parts .Month after months went by and more problems, they were poor in keeping us with updates. it wasn't until I contacted The Bureau of automotive repair and got them involved that I was able to get my bird car back January 13 2023! 6 months later. The check engine light is on and I am back to the same problem. I need to get it smog. $1900.00 later they did waive this cost but I believe the Automotive Bureau had something to do with that! Diamond Ford - The car I was waiting for - Car Dealers Near Me - Lancaster, California

My husband and I had such a heartbreaking and disastrous experience at Diamond Ford of Lancaster, California on March 23, 2024. This experience had us in the dealership from 2pm until about 9pm. Our goal was to leave out with a car within a specific budget. Everything started out normal as our sales person Jonathan helped us look at different cars and assisted in getting the car buying process started. Jonathan was the ONLY sunshine to such a dark time at this dealership. Everything went sour once the floor manager Eric got involved. When we first spoke to him everything was nice and he seemed to really care about helping us. We negotiated various prices and finally reached an agreement within our budget. Once the agreement was made as far as pricing and the down payment, we received the keys to the car, the car was washed and filled with gas for us, and we were even able to get our profile connected and set up with the app for the car. This is where everything took a turn. We were waiting to meet with finance to sign all of the documents. The lady that was in charge of finance that day came in and stated that she had great news and that she was able to get our payment down $70 lower than what we agreed upon. We were ecstatic and signed the vehicle registration documents a long with other documents pertain to the vehicle. A few minutes later, Eric came into the office and asked us if we heard the good news. We explained to him what we were told and that we were very excited. He was kind of taken back and abruptly left the office to discuss with finance. Upon his return he stated that there was a "glitch" in the system and our monthly payment would be well over $200 the amount we discussed previously. This is prior to the "good news" we had just received. So, every number from the beginning of negotiating was wrong. All the information we were told and agreed upon was wrong and inaccurate, which is pretty hard to believe. We were stunned and lost for words. We were trying to make sense of it all and asked so many questions. Eric then tried to sell us a vehicle we were not interested in and of way lesser value for the same price. We told him that we were not interested and we wanted this issue rectified immediately. This caused for many trips back and forth of him going into the office in the back. Every time he came back to us the information started to make less sense. I'm honestly not sure if the General Manager was present, but if that was the man they were consulting with in the back room, he definitely didn't seem to care. Not once did he come out to speak to us, show compassion, or help fix this issue. Diamond Ford acted in very bad faith and deception. We asked to see the paperwork associated with our lease agreement where the "glitch" occurred, but you can tell it was a bunch of made up numbers and the original price of the vehicle wasn't even included on the documents. Eric kept trying to refer to the residual price which has nothing to do with our agreement until the end of the lease term. During this time he came off as very belittling and kept stating that this was "basic math." In the end, no one treated us with empathy or compassion. The entire process was very deceitful, disgusting, and very much distasteful. Of course, we ended up leaving without the vehicle we mutually agreed upon and signed for. We even had the keys for heavens sake! We also asked if we could take the documents home that included the discrepancies. These documents had our name and home address on them, but they refused and stated that they have shredded the documents. Diamond Ford did not live up to their mission statement at all! They claim to strive for customer satisfaction and we left with zero satisfaction! We also were not treated with respect and courtesy. The integrity was also very non-existent. This situation will be reported to the BBB and corporate. Justice will be served for this dealership truly acting in bad faith and basically fraud once you look at all the facts. In the market for a 3/4 ton truck. Stopped by today on a whim to see if they had any on their lot and they had a 2021 model. Met with Devon (I think?) and he was great. Good info about the car, let us test drive it and answered all our questions. Decided we were interested in buying the vehicle, so went inside to talk numbers. Was given a price on the truck which matched what was on the website, was told that price plus fees and TTL. OK, sure, sounds good. Apparently all that initial stuff was worthless. The real sales pitch started when the finance guy came in. He started by quoting a 19%ish interest rate loan for 84 months(!), I said, no, I want a 60 month note. While they were working that out, I applied and was approved for a loan at my credit union for 2.94%. Gave that info to them and they came back with a 4% interest note and a new price sheet. Here is where is all really went south. The new price sheet now shows an extra $31,000 (!) in various packages and fees. There was a $9600 warranty, a $6300 maintenance plan, plus a bunch of other things that "were already installed on the truck" so we needed to pay. Yeah, no. $31k over sticker price is beyond the pale, and their finance guy was only offering to go down by a few thousand; we were done. After trying several times to politely wrap things up and leave, they were still not taking no for an answer. They kept insisting we let them know what they could do to make a deal. Too late, they burned the bridge. They had the keys for our trade in, so we had to firmly ask for them back, and even then it took several attempts before they conceded. We finally got our keys and walked out, only to be chased out by one person wanting us to come back, and then immediately called by another wanting to know how to fix it. Too late, I don't have the time or energy to play those kind of games when I just wanted to buy a truck for the agreed price. read more

We let him know we were just there to test drive and he was kind about it. He pulled every car we asked spent hours allowing use to look and try different cars. listened to what we wanted and needed in a new car. Richard went above and beyond anyone I have ever worked with when looking at cars and was not pushy. The first appointment we made with her, we were on time she showed up late due to a personal issue. Problem has never been fixed after 2-3 appointments. The third time we were promised a Lincoln loaner by Marissa Mckane and when we came in to drop my car off , they said Jessica was not in due to illness, then magically she appeared from the back. She promised to call when loaner came in and she NEVER called. Now today my car is letting me know it's time for first oil change etc. I call her leave a message and she of course does not call back. I call another person in service and ask if Jessica is in they say "yes I will transfer you" She doesn't answer . Finally I call back and schedule with someone else. Really great way to treat customers who bought a brand new Lincoln last year when it was AV Ford and paid for a full warranty. And She never apologizes just gives you more B.S.! I also think it's ridiculous that that the owner/manager only responds to positive reviews but doesn't care to make things right with dissatisfied customers. Usually businesses actually care to address customers issues but it just represents everything about this business that they do not care about they're customers. Best believe I will keep letting people know how bad this place is including the Better Business Bureau. I want to update my review to say that Customer relations manager Marissa McCain responded to my same review I left on Google reviews by twisting the events and not addressing the actual issues of Jessica being unreliable, dishonest, not calling customers back, and them not fixing my issue. So basically here is a company that rather than address the problems customers are having with their employees, would rather blame the customer than make it right. Very poor customer service in every department. No follow ups so I have to call to find out anything about a Brand new vehicle that we bought and has spent more time in the shop than it has on the road or in my driveway. No one answers the phone and no one seems interested in trying to make a customer happy. My wife is extremely unhappy and is basically done with Diamond Ford and their lack of empathy. This vehicle should not have been on the lot as it was deemed unroadworthy from day 1. This dealership should do the honorable thing and return our trade in Ram 1500 and take back this lemon of a Bronco so we can all move on but seeing as no one in authority can even give us a call back and answer any of our questions or concerns how will this even happen. They just want a sale and then forget you. Worst experience we have had in 29 years of buying a new vehicle. Shame on them!!!! Also the website that has meet our staff on it is out of date. Probably everyone has left. Only solution in this is a buy back from Ford I am assuming. read more

We purchased a Ford Flex in 2018, purchased the extended warranty and maintenance plan. Both do not expire until 2025, I have the contract! Diamond ford says the maintenance plan expired in January. Brought them the contract, they have given us the run around for 3 months now. Contacted Ford corporate customer service, both are now saying since AV Ford was bought out by Diamond Ford, they do not need to honor our contract?! How is this possible? We also have work that needs to be done, got approval from our extended warranty to have the work done, nobody at Diamond Ford will call us back to schedule this appointment. Will never buy another Ford again. Love my car, so disappointed in the company. read more

Watch out for these guys!! They will try to stick it to you if they can. Took my wife's car in venting issue due to failing actuator under dashboard. A $40.00 part and they were trying to charge me $800 for repair. They charge $180.00 per hr. He was trying to charge me 4-hours labor for a one or two hour job I declined. Diamond Ford is completely untrustworthy and not honest at all. Any car issues stay away from these guys take your vehicles elsewhere. read more
