    If you want the classic, big dining room, bustling dim sum experience, this is the spot. So hard these days to find the big dining halls that do wedding banquets and big groups. Order with the QR code on your phone. You have a choice of english or chinese menu. Not as fun as the old pushcarts, but the food comes out quickly and hot after you order. All the classics are good (har gow, siu mai, beef ball, rice rolls...etc)Generous portion for the crispy pan-fried noodles (HK style). Nice firm, snappy filling for the har gow. Good siu mai. Wu gok (taro puff) was a little greasy though. That's usually my favorite but it missed the mark here. Great service. They box up your leftovers for you instead of just handing you some containers like some places. The waitlist moves pretty quickly after 12:45pm. Some items may be sold out by then, but if tou don't like waiting, catching the tail end of the midday rush is an option. Minor bummer for 2.5% credit card fee. I didn't see any signage indicating there is a surcharge for credit cards. Pretty sure that's required by the credit card companies.

    I came to Diamond Bay Restaurant on a Saturday around 2pm with 6 people and did not have to wait to get a table. We got seated right away and ordered through the tablet. The restaurant is super clean and nice inside. Just to note, the restaurant charges $2/per person for tea and $2/ per person for hot water if you ask for tea or hot water due to warming up the tea kettle. My group ordered the following: Large Hot and sour soup, hai gow, siu mai, beef tripe, fried shrimp balls, sticky rice, pork spare ribs, and chicken feet. Everything was really good, came out hot and fresh. Would definitely be coming back.

    Diamond Bay genuinely might be the best Seattle has to offer for dim sum. You can call ahead for a reservation if you have a big party, but it's definitely a bit chaotic working with the staff when you arrive. The lines are pretty crazy on the weekend at lunch time, but if you arrive at 1PM you can probably snag a table no problem. They have a small parking lot across the street from the restaurant and they reserve a big chunk of the lot under the highway bridge as well if you don't mind walking. While I'm still partial to HKB's shumai, Diamond Bay definitely takes the W on consistency across their dim sum items. Highlights: - Egg Tart: Super flaky pastry that's usually reserved for Portuguese style egg tarts, but here you can pair it with the more mild Chinese egg custard. Absolutely banging. - Roasted Duck: Definitely one of their signatures, the duck is super fatty and the meat isn't gamey at all, while still maintaining that signature deep, rich flavo - Baked Char Siu Bao: It looks like the ratio of carb to meat is too low, but the bread is actually so fluffy it almost melts in your mouth. The glaze is slightly sweet which adds to the sweet and savory char siu experience.

    The dinner vibe is equally as great as the dim sum hours plus at night they still serve up a select number of dim sum dishes too! The seafood and veggies were awesome and our go to dish is beef chow foon! Got the mopo tofu and it was good. The service was decent and the restaurant is spacious. Definitely high on the repeat list!

    Solid Chinese Restaurant to eat Family-Style at! Came here with my partner for Lunar New Year and it was crowded, that it took a while for us to get seated. I would say about 30 minutes, due to a shortage of smaller tables. When we got seated, we actually went to a more secluded area upstairs, which I preferred since it was just the two of us. We ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp, Chow Mein with Crispy Pork, and Spicy Jellyfish. Our first item that came was the Spicy Jellyfish, it was a little spicy, but it was delicious since it was crunchy and complimented against pickled veggies. Great appetizer to start out with! Next item that came was the Honey Walnut Shrimp and I felt already full by the time that came out but it was so delectable and sweet, wish I could've had it aside the chow mein, but mistakenly they gave us seafood chow mein instead of pork. That took way longer to come out that by the time we had it we couldn't fit anymore in our stomachs and had to take it home. The crispy pork chow mein was good but it would've been good to eat with the honey walnut shrimp. Overall, Diamond Bay is solid to go with friends and family. If you go on such a holiday, there will be a wait.

    Highly recommend their rice noodle rolls, they're so yummy and perfectly chewy, with that fresh, delicate texture that makes dim sum so satisfying. They're one of our must-order items every time. I also love the chives and shrimp dumplings. The filling is flavorful and fresh, and the combination of the fragrant chives with the juicy shrimp is just so good. If you're planning to come for dim sum, I'd suggest visiting earlier in the day since some of the popular dishes can run out later on. It's definitely worth going early to get the full selection. We usually get seated pretty quickly, which is always a plus. There are also two parking lots nearby, and we've never had any trouble finding a spot. Overall, it's a great place for dim sum and we'll definitely keep coming back!

    Swing by either at opening or once the first wave of ppl leave (around 11:30/11:45am) to avoid waiting more than 30 min for a table! Extremely small lot across from street, or an even tinier lot on the same corner of the restaurant. Order via mobile, and they deliver the dimsum. Thought the massive pineapple bun was gonna be gimmicky, but it was so tasty! Inside was cooked (sometimes large versions compromise doneness), but 10/10. Shumai was a block of ground pork, super tasty and flavorful. Hargow good, shrimp stuffed eggplant good, steamed bbq pork buns good. Pretty much everything we ordered was very good. A member of our group wanted turnip cake, but this was very skippable (too soft, and not much flavor). Skip soup dumplings also. Tea is per head, but staff is quick to refill the pot when flagged down. Overall, enjoyed pretty much everything we ordered!

    Came for dinner but I would recommend coming earlier in the day for dim sum as that is much better. Most of the food was alight, not really the worst Chinese food I've had but not the best at all. Some plates were bland and others were too salty. I would come only for dim sum! Perhaps their Chinese bbq options too

    My uncle who lives in town took us here before our flight back to Arizona. Hands down some of the better dim sum I've had in a while. I will say some of the Baos were lacking a bit if meat in em esp for $10+ for a couple. But the aesthetics of them were really nice and flavor was definitely there. One thing that was off-putting when walking into the restaurant was the smell of urine, at first I thought it was just me but then my ten year old whispered it in my ear. After a while you kind of lose that smell and get whiffa of delicious food at the table. Lol The tablets they have on the table to order, were trash. Took way too long for it to work, the touch screen was very wonky and we ended up needing to grab an employee to put most of our entrées in. Kind of defeats the purpose of them. Ultimately would come back though!

    I don't know why, but seeing older Asian men smoking outside a Chinese restaurant feels like home* to me, so seeing older Asian men smoking outside of Diamond Bay felt like I was about to walk into something legit. *Southern California We went on a Wednesday at around 1:30PM, and this place was still hoppin! Full tables, and it seemed like many of them new each other and the staff, which was really nice to see. The interior is reminiscent of large Chinese banquet halls I grew up with- high ceiling, big bright room full of round tables and a Very Large TV screen/projector. The food was delightful. We ordered via the QR code, and our dishes started arriving quickly in no discernable order. We restrained ourselves and didn't have boxes of leftoved (rare for us when it comes to dimsum), and yet we were full and satisfied enough neither of us wanted a dinner. I think this is a great place to visit with large groups. Parking is the usual terrible given its location, but they do have a dedicated (free) lot, which is nice, if you have very good timing or a parking fairy on payroll. Looking forward to going back and trying some of their non-dim sum plates. The bbq'd meats hanging on the windows near by were particularly appealing.

    Amazing Chinese food! We had dim sum with a large group in one of the VIP rooms upstairs. Automated lazy susan allowed our group to easily share many entrees and dim sum dishes. Everything was delicious from the dim sum (beef rice roll, siu mai, ha gao, etc), to the congee (got the seafood congee and preserved egg and pork), to the Peking duck and lobster with noodles. Highly recommend Diamond Bay if you're looking for a dim sum restaurant!

    Large space and very quick and tentative service Staff are very busy but are nice and friendly entire time to accommodate our needs Food was flavored ok. Nothing exceptional but also nothing bad for dinner. Dim sum was better with variety of choices that are a bit different from other locations Lobster was good but I'm wondering if it was truly 1.8 lbs before it was cooked.     Free parking, okay service as you order via a qr code or a pad on your table. Food was fresh and delicious. Gets crowded and loud . If you want dim sum this is the place to eat.

    Every day. It stops around 3:00. You can still get dim sum after 3 but it's leftovers if you want it.

    No. Ends about 2:30 to 3pm, usually last call at 2:30. Chef switches out.

    Any suggestions for close parking? Also somewhere so i dont get my windows broken. 😅

    Street parking is your best bet if private lot is full

    You can actually kind of see it if you look up the restaurant in Google maps (it shows the restaurant all graffiti'd up, but the parking lot is still the same). There are about 5 spaces, plus 1 handicap.

Unfortunately, this visit was overshadowed by a frustrating service experience that took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal. Ambiance - 4/5 The restaurant maintains its familiar modern-casual atmosphere: lively, efficient, and designed for quick turnover. Despite the busy environment, the space remains relatively comfortable and clean, making it an easy spot for casual group dining. Authenticity - 4/5 The menu reflects classic Northern Chinese comfort dishes and Taiwanese-inspired small plates fairly well. The xiao long bao and noodles still capture the approachable flavors that made Dough Zone popular in the first place. Flavor - 4/5 The food itself was enjoyable. The xiao long bao were flavorful with properly developed broth inside, and overall execution from the kitchen remained consistent. No complaints regarding the dishes themselves. However, what became frustrating was a conversation regarding the Dan Dan noodles. I asked whether the dish contained pork -- a perfectly reasonable question, especially considering authentic Sichuan-style Dan Dan noodles traditionally do contain minced pork. Instead of answering professionally, the waitress responded dismissively: "Since when does Dan Dan noodles have pork?" That response was both inaccurate and unnecessarily condescending, particularly toward a guest who clearly understands the cuisine. Service - 2/5 This is where the experience declined significantly. The waitress came across as rude, dismissive, and surprisingly uninformed about a very standard Chinese dish. Hospitality aside, basic menu knowledge should be expected. To their credit, the service lead attempted to recover the situation by comping one order of xiao long bao, which I appreciated as a gesture of accountability. Without that effort, this review would likely have been lower. Cost - 4/5 Dough Zone continues to offer good value for the quantity and quality of food. Pricing remains one of its strongest advantages, especially for group dining. Final Thoughts Dough Zone succeeds where many casual dumpling chains do: affordable, tasty food served quickly. But strong kitchens can only carry a restaurant so far when front-of-house hospitality breaks down. The food earned the 3 stars. The service nearly brought it down to 2.

You pay depending on how much you get; for example, one piece of siu mai is $1.30 each as of this writing. All other food items follow in a similar suit. We got the following: - Egg tart: my favorites though they have cookie crusts. I do prefer flaky crusts but the egg yolk has the right amount of sweet to balance the crust. - Siu mai: fresh and piping hot. Meat was also fresh and didn't have a weird aftertaste. - Green onion bun: each one is pretty big, and there's just enough green onions on them to distinguish between similar buns like the baked BBQ pork bun. - Sponge cake: didn't eat this myself but parents thought this was all right though a little too set. - Baked BBQ pork bun: my dad's favorite. BBQ pork is sweet and complements the bun itself. - Meat bun turnover (Shanghai pan-fried buns): I always like getting these in places like Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone. The ones here are even better, with a ton of filling in each bun and a nice crisp from the pan fry. A classic staple of Chinatown that serves awesome dim sum that edges out the competition pretty well considering dining in has gotten a lot more expensive lately! I see myself coming back a lot more, beyond the number of times I've gone here since high school, of course.

We got the shrimp dumplings, radish cake, shrimp rice roll, beef honey comb, sesame ball and egg tar. All items were brought out to table in short time. All the items had legit taste. My favorite was the beef honey comb (intestine), probably the best tasting one I ever had. The service was fine, as it's usually is in C-town restaurants. Staff members brought water/tea and removed empty plates while running around doing other things. Though it wasn't the full dim sum experience (no push carts), we were content with the food.

My favorite go to is always: - Shrimp Hacao (huge pieces!) - Pork Shu Mai (tasty and huge as well) - Beef or BBQ rice roll - Pan fried Taro Cake - Pan fried Radish Cake - Radish Cake with XO Sauce (this is a big portion and recommended if you have a larger group) All their dishes always comes out piping hot! My favorite tea to wash this all down is Buddha tea. I like the buddha tea because it's less bitter than others and has a golden taste to it. Honestly with the exception of the spare ribs, everything on the dim sum menu is pretty good, I just need to bring a bigger group of people so we can just try everything on the menu!

I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.
