The view from here is amazing. However, service is very slow. I've been here several times, and most recently we walked out after sitting at the table for 10 minutes with no service. The drinks are fine, but very basic, and (again) slow to come out. This could be overlooked if they had a better happy hour, but it is hard to justify spending $13 on a margarita when other places have them for $6-8. The food I've had here is actually pretty good, and I really like their quesadilla. It is also worth mentioning they have this odd pool(?) in the middle of their dining area. We arrived that same night, and trying to make the most of the little time we had in Phoenix, we left our luggage in the room and went up to their rooftop bar to start our night. The place wasn't too busy so we were able to get drinks quick. Prices, as you can imagine are a bit high to match the rooftop but the view and ambiance were worth it. You get to enjoy a view, fresh air, comfortable seating and some hanging "egg" swings too. People arriving were dressed either casual or "dressed to be seen" all accepted and served equally. Would be cool if they had some live music to add to the chill vibe, then again, maybe they do and I just wasn't there for it. Celebrated a friend's birthday here. Hotel is pretty cool. Awesome city views, enjoyed the music vibe, plenty of areas to sit on the rooftop. They have an outdoor TV, cool pool which we were wondering if people actually enjoyed the pool or if it was just for decoration Service was great with attentive staff. I only had a handful of truffle fries which I enjoyed while my boyfriend had the burger sliders and tacos. He loved the sliders but wasn't a fan of the tacos just saying they were weird. I booked a furniture cluster for my stepdaughter's bachelorette party. The process to request the reservation went smoothly and Steven, the Catering Sales Manager, was a delight to work with. He was prompt in his responses and provided excellent information and service. We reserved a furniture cluster for a Saturday night from 6-8:30 pm at a price of $350 which would be applied towards food and beverage and a tip of 24% for our server. When we arrived at the location, we exited the elevator to a mass of people on the rooftop, with very little staff to be seen. There was a long line for the bar and people everywhere. I went to one of the servers who were waiting for drinks at the bar and they were able to help us locate our reserved furniture cluster and ask the people who were sitting there to leave. Quinn promptly took our cocktail order and I ordered some of the buffalo cauliflower wings vegan and a couple of orders of french fries. It was very very dark on the rooftop and we had to use our flashlights to see the menu. The cocktails were delivered in a reasonable time as well as the appetizers. I noticed the wings had buffalo cheese crumbles on them but chalked it up to a small error and did not say anything about it. Only a few of us were vegan, including the bride. The servers were clearly busy with all the people there and it looked like there were just 2 servers at the time with a fully packed rooftop. We didn't have the service I was expecting but it was ok. We continued ordering more food and drinks and no one was clearing our dirty plates or glasses regularly. Then the 4 orders of Impossible meat vegan tacos came out. As I mentioned before, it was completely dark on the rooftop so it was hard to see the food. We all dug into the tacos but something was off to me so I shined a light on the taco and it was shredded chicken. I mentioned that to Quinn and he said they changed the menu the day before so now they only have chicken tacos. The bride had eaten 1.5 tacos by the time I caught it. I took the table menu, which was still showing Impossible meat tacos vegan on it, and went to the front desk downstairs. The front desk attendant happily got in contact with the manager and he promptly came out to talk to me. I let him know about the buffalo cauliflower wings and the tacos and how disappointed we all were. Chris was kind and apologetic and worked on finding solutions for us. He was able to reorder all the food on the house, made the right way as it was described on the menu. Chris completely turned the evening around for us. He was present and attentive for the rest of our time there, and the servers were more helpful with him there as well. If only this review were based solely on Chris' attention to solving the problem, it would be a 10-star review. Unfortunately, there were glaring problems in the food preparation, staffing problems with a shortage in waiters providing service, and a need for a better check-in process for the high-dollar furniture clusters. I would recommend this rooftop bar, but with caution. They are the only rooftop bar I found with vegan items on the menu so I think it is worth checking them out for all my vegan peeps. You cannot make any substitutions on food and apparently the chef or whoever is the kitchen (because let's be real they can't really cook) is a Nazi (waitress words not mine) about changes. Stayed at the Cambria while in town for a concert. After the cancer ended, we didn't have a lot of options for food but remembered hearing at checkin that the rooftop bar would be open till 2 am and their kitchen until 1 am. Upon arriving via elevator to the rooftop location, I was surprised it was not the calm casual hotel bar like I was expecting but actually had a club like atmosphere with a DJ and a person checking ID's before allowing people in (or should I say out?) The hostess took us to a table at the edge of the roof that offered a great view of downtown. They have a pretty extensive drink list and offer a wide variety of beers. Prices are pretty reasonable for a hotel bar. My bf ordered a Tacate $8 and I had a White girl, I mean White Claw ($7).. Food options are mostly typical bar food with a Latin spin. burgers, wings and quesadillas with a couple surprise additions like a strip steak and ceviche. I ordered the standard cheese burger. It came out a perfect medium just like I ordered with a thick layer of creamy white Oaxaca cheese. Fries were standard fries but were crisp and fresh. He got wings with the standard Buffalo sauce. Being a man of few words his verdict was "Good, decent size, good taste" He's ultra picky about wings so "Good" is definitely a win. While we're on the subject of wins, the biggest win of the night was our server Priscilla. She was probably one of the best servers we've had anywhere in a long time. She greeted us right away with waters and said she'd give us a couple minutes with the menu. As soon as she returned with the waters she got drink and food orders. Both came out at a good speed, she checked back frequently without being annoying and alway was there with refills of water and drinks. Best part she had a great personality and sense of humor and seemed to really enjoy her job. We arrived late on a Friday night as we had a late flight into Phoenix. We were hungry but not starving. Since we were staying in the hotel we decided to just go up to the rooftop and have a drinks and an app. We ended up having the sliders which were delicious , very tasty and totally hit the spot. This was actually one of the worst resturant i've been to in a hot minute. It took about 15 minutes for us to be greeted and then we put in a drink and some food, the food came out fast but it was cold and hard and did not taste like meat (i got carne asada tacos). The server never checked on us, we never got our drink, it was just so bad. It was my boyfriend's birthday and i was so excited to take him here but it sucked. Came on a Friday night for drinks and to see the sunset. Enter the hotel and elevators will be on the right - head to R! The building isn't as tall as I thought it would be (7ish floors?), but no matter - you get unparalleled views of the sunset as well as the city with mountain silhouettes in the background. We arrived hoping to catch the end of happy hour. The bar is small, with seats for about 6 people, and is run by two bartenders. We were standing to order, but by the time they reach us, happy hour had ended so I suppose just get there at least an hour early to make sure you experience some of it. Even throughout the night, service at the bar was slow. There are waitresses taking orders while you lounge, which is nice, but not if you're trying to make HH. Berry Patch drink was delicious, but not that strong. Triple Sec and Blue Gin were great and decently strong but also quite pricey (all $14 each) ... reminded me of NYC!! GREAT views, plenty of seating, plenty of heaters during cooler nights. I suppose it's called From The Rooftop for a reason vs From The Bar. I tried the "Blue Gin" ($14) which had "Butterfly Flower Fords Gin, Garden Party Rosemary Liqueur, Fentimans Tonic, (and) Lime Juice"; this upgraded gin and tonic was refreshing. We also ordered the "Beet Tartare" ($18) which had, "avocado, calamanse gel, taro chip, (and) togarashi", this was not very good, the calamanse gel was too overpowering. We decided to stop by this place since we saw it on our way to dinner and wanted a nice view of the Phoenix sunset. The place was incredibly busy on a Saturday night, with a ton of graduation parties especially that specific weekend. As for food, we only get the drinks, fries, and spinach dip so we can't speak too much on it. The fries and the spinach dip were a bit mediocre - they definitely tasted like something that was previously frozen. Service was hit or miss. Sometimes we would be able to flag the server down, but most of the time the servers were all too incredibly busy to remember what we needed (like ranch). The highlight of this place is easily the view and seeing the sun set on the mountains in the background. It was a lovely experience though hampered immensely by food and service. read more

At the top of the modern Cambria hotel in downtown Phoenix. Arrived at 5pm. There was a private corporate event that was taking up the best side of the rooftop for watching the sunset. Otherwise, there were about 5 other tables occupied. Within 30 minutes it got packed. Service was very very slow as there was only one bartender for the whole Rooftop. We ordered drinks, which room about 25 minutes to get. We ordered appetizers and got those within 10 minutes. Spinach dip was just ok, served in a bread bowl, a little bland. The Buffalo cauliflower was very good. Spicy and cooked perfectly. The shrimp spring roll looked like a live shrimp. It tasted good, different from your regular spring roll. Drinks were alright. Was just here after they switched to Diablo and was disappointed. First impression was bad. It took about 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. Then maybe 5 minutes later someone else came and asked us for our drink orders again and we explained someone else took our orders. This guy then started explaining "oh I don't even like that guy he's the competitor he's not from my company. What did you order so I can put that in the system". He left we got our drinks. There was a DJ playing live music and there wasn't a major crowd which was nice. There are great views all around, and the rooftop atmosphere makes for a really great time.
