What can I say this place completely caught me off guard. I think that makes it even better. Located in the back of an Asian Market it's as good as it gets regardless of being in OK. It really is that good. I had dumplings and Pho and it was perfect. The only place I could compare this too due to the location and randomness of it all is Sugar Nymphs in Penasco, NM. From the outside the business offers no indication of the hidden noodle bar. It's there though. When you enter, head to the rear of the store. Walk through the aisles of shelves crowded with brightly colored packaging, filled with exotic Asian foods. Sweets, meats, snacks, spices and a few trinkets. Few packages disclose their contents in English. When you see the kitchen, you are there. It is small inside. An open kitchen, surrounded by a bar, that is better described as a trough. It was lined with customers. There are a couple tables on the right. Luckily two chairs at the bar were available. All heads were bowed, slurping noodles. We quickly joined them, at the trough. For me, a most excellent bowl of pure pleasure. Chili Shoyu Ramen. Check the pictures. It tastes as good as it looks. The most enjoyable bowl of Asian soup I have ever had. Probably the best pho spot I have ever been to in Stillwater. You walk into a fairly nice Asian market and in the back they have an open kitchen ramen and pho bar. It can be hard to get seating here sometimes due to the size of the place and it growing popularity but they are really good about getting call in orders out. First, I'd like to say food was amazing, the ramen was light and flavorful! Crab Rangoons were filled with a sweat creamy cream cheese could have had more crab flavor but overall very yummy. I'm giving this rating a low, unfortunately our service was not great. One of the ladies serving customers aka us, was so rude. She treated us like we were bothering her which is not how people who want to experience a new place and give earnings to. She came to check in on us and that was nice but the energy was more like irritation. I understand people can have off days but if you're working food service, having a smile and being courteous is a #1 rule. Especially if you want to keep customers around. She seemed annoyed with every interaction we had with her. When it came to grab the checks, since the restaurant is connected to the Asian market. I quickly asked her if we go to the front to pay as she was handing us our checks and she snapped at me very loudly saying in a stern voice "NO DONT leave, you pay at the bar, you need to give me a minute." Yes she answered my question, no it was not at all said in a gentle tone. I understand it was busy, but coming from a person who has worked in the food industry and retail. It is never okay to be rude to the customers. My friend and others sitting around me notice the energy change and I have no idea why she was acting that way but I minded my own paid and left. Devoted is deemed the best eating place in Stillwater, and I'd have to agree. However one must consider that is a low bar. Stillwater is a college town with a lot of fast food, fast casual restaurants, pizza, coffee, and alcohol. This is a nice place get real fresh food served by fantastic, attentive staff. The space is small and inside of a grocery store. There's almost always a wait for the few seats available. Prices are fair. I haven't had many options and the menu is small. Though I've enjoyed the appetizers. I ordered from the secret menu, ma po tofu. A dish that is traditionally mouth numbing spicy. Theirs was not even medium spice. I questioned if they used a tomato base. I was rather disappointed as I've enjoyed their appetizers so much. read more

This place is always such a hit! So glad that my brother shared this place with me since it opened after my departure from Stillwater. It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, tucked in the back of the Asian market, but it has a great vibe. I can't even recommend a single item because they are all good, but I'm a huge fan of pho and find theirs to be so comforting and delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the sides, but I have a preference toward spring rolls - my husband and brother ordered the fried chicken and devoured it all so you could say it was pretty good. This might've been my favorite meal out of our entire trip. We were visiting from Los Angeles taking a weeklong professional development course at OSU. It's located in an Asian market and we were 4th on the waitlist on a Wednesday night. We waited may 20-30 minutes and spent our time perusing the market. They have anything you need in there. If I ever moved to Stillwater, I'd have my Asian grocery list checked. The food was AMAZING. The fried green beans were just as good as Din Tai Fung's at a third of the cost!! Fried Oyster mushrooms are fire. I could just taste them in my mouth as I write this. I got the Tori Paitan Ramen, which is the first time I've ever had it. I usually go for Tonkotsu whenever I get ramen but I needed to try it out. It did not disappoint! I was so full, I took almost half my bowl home as leftovers. My family has since gotten to know the wonderful family that runs Devoted and the Asian Market. We also have definitely fallen in love with their food and now have on more than one occasion gone there to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. (I will go there as a pick me up alone!) They also will occasionally have specials available on their menus. (Check their instagram page to see if their hours have changed, and most importantly if they have any specials for that week.) The service is always impeccable! They're quick even when it's busy. And also if you don't want to wait cause they are small get there before they open. Or you'll be waiting for a bit. Yes they are that popular. Also the restaurant is always clean, bright and engaging. The employees are friendly even when rushing around filling water, putting out hot bowls of noodles. I definitely recommend their beef pho, and their spicy ramen if you like spicy. Also their Vietnamese style egg rolls are a must have too. I love them and could eat them by the boatload! We've gone there so much that they know what we're going to order before we order. LOL But that just goes to show they're really paying attention to their customers. LOL nothing against them) The other connection/bias is my youngest son knows their younger son. They attend the same school. Also they have ties to HI and we're from HI. Devoted offers a plethora of incredible Asian options for the city of Stillwater. You must go through the entrance of the Asian market by the name of Crepe Myrtle to reach the restaurant. Their options cover a wide array of items from Vietnamese Pho, Chinese/Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, and Japanese ramen, each with great taste. I have had the chili shoyu, citrus ramen, paitan ramen, and beef noodle soup, all of which taste like their namesake would have you believe. My favorite is the paitan. They add fresh microgreens on nearly all dishes, so think of it as a Devoted signature garnish rather than their take on a cultural dish. Their sides are also great, such as the Date's Chicken, Fried Oyster Mushroom, and Takoyaki. For a restaurant that covers such a wide variety of cultural items, their consistency in rich-tasting food items stretches across the menu which is around 8 items + a few sides. Entrees are around ~$14-16 and sides are around ~$6-10, all of which come in very reasonable, if not a bit generous sizes. The interior is beautifully themed, the main colors being a well-lit and CLEAN bright white, blue, and brown. The only downside is that the space is small with a bar countertop of around 10 seats and a ~6 top table. With their popularity, you can expect weekends to have a wait. Even with a wait, you can trust that when a table opens, you will get seating ASAP as the staff moves fast, works hard, and is VERY attentive. Even on a busy dinner, the team always kept my glass above half full. To complement their dining room service competency, they are kind and cordial. The service team has a strong awareness of the dining room and the cooking team moves and serves quick food delivery. TL;DR - As someone who eats predominantly Asian cuisine, Devoted is a WONDERFUL option for rich-tasting Asian food with great portions and equally great service from their team. This was such a delightful surprise! We moved here from New York a few months ago and Devoted was one of the first places we heard about, but we only just had the chance to go today. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Chinese beef noodle soup was legit, with QQ noodles (great texture!) and nice chunks of beef as well as pickled mustard greens. The spicy chili wontons were also very good, with just enough kick (not excessive numb your tongue type spice), and the ramen broth was extremely flavorful and well seasoned. They also don't skimp out on the toppings, which we appreciated. Service was friendly and our server Molly not only took care of us but also gave us additional recommendations in the area and in OKC. I'm only asking they start offering glass noodles but even without the glass noodles this hidden gem is in the back of the Asian food market the menu is simple but ALL of it is excelled on. I will say I didn't care for their egg rolls neither did my son it tasted like something's pickled I think. But the service is phenomenal team work for certain. The speed of food coming out and being as busy as they are is amazing! The ambiance inside the restaurant is set up simple modern clean and full on view of the kitchen personnel preparing your food and they offer flat homemade noodles?!?! Food: I had the spicy Chinese beef noodle soup the spring rolls (rice paper I believe it was) and pork wontons in spicy chili oil. EVERYTHING was AMAZING! If you don't like spice don't do it! I went here yesterday and I was pretty disappointed. I'm a first-generation Vietnamese American who was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I've also traveled a lot, (Vietnam, South Korea, China, Canada, and plenty of U.S. cities) so I am very picky and critical when it comes to Asian food, especially Vietnamese cuisine. - The chili oil pork wontons were decent! the chili oil was not spicy at all and lacked flavor. the wonton itself was a little chewy and not as light as you want and expect wontons to be. the pork filling was slightly overcooked but tasted nice. 5/10 - The beef pho was not good. Miso's Asian Bistro makes a much better pho, consistently. the soup is bland and lacks depth. Maybe we had a bad batch, but the last time i had this (about a year ago) it was much better. i'm pretty disappointed with this bowl. It does NOT taste like they simmered this batch for 24 hours, like the say. i had to add a lot of hoisin. the choices of meat are spot on and the noodles are average; it just tastes like they used a package of pho noodles, like most places. i did not eat much of this bowl. 3/10 - The shrimp spring rolls were a bit of an odd combo, but it kinda worked! the pickled daikon and carrots made me feel like i was taking a bite into a bread-less Banh Mi. the peanut sauce tasted off, but very fresh. 4/10 I did not finish my food. Overall, I'd give this restaurant a 5/10 because the service was good and the restaurant was clean and very well decorated. I stopped into Crepe Myrtle Market to check it out and saw people happily slurping soup in the back, so I wandered towards Devoted and was greeted warmly. I decided I better get lunch while it was not yet filled up! There is one big table upon entry, but the rest is bar seating. I was seated in the very back seat near the back door, register, and kitchen entrance. I was given a cute mason jar glass with handle of water, and the server explained the menu plus the specials. I figured I did not need an appetizer, so I asked for her recommendation for ramen. She said the chili shoyu was the most popular item on the menu. Since I do not eat pork, I asked her to remove the pork belly. She offered to substitute ribeye (from the pho on the menu) or an extra egg at no charge. I went for the egg since I had eaten a lot of meat at Tokyo Pot the night prior. The soup came out piping hot and quickly, with lots of noodles, fish cake, bok choy, scallions, cilantro, microgreens, bamboo shoots, nori, 2 eggs, and chili oil! The soup base is chicken and anchovy, and the chili oil definitely had Sichuan peppercorns in it so I got the numbing sensation! I had fun alternating between enjoying broth with my spoon and noodles with my chopsticks. The chili oil opened up my nostrils so I got water refills quickly. Hidden gem in the back of an Asian supermarket. They don't take reservations and it's a TINY space, so try to get there early or go on a day that isn't busy. There is only one table that can seat up to six and everyone else sits a this beautiful live-edge wooden wrap-around bar. The service was unmatched, they were so attentive and kind.
