Hot and sour soup.
Nathaniel H.

I've eaten Chinese all over the country. I ordered: General Tao's chicken and sweet and sour pork with fried rice. I also ordered fried dumplings and hot and sour soup. Taste and quality of food: The General Tso's chicken was absolutely horrible, the worst that I've ever had. The sweet and sour pork was very tasty. The egg roll that came with the meal was not the worst egg rolls I've ever had but close. They were eatable anyway. The hot and sour soup was okay, not the worst but not the best, falls perfectly in the middle. The fried dumplings were absolutely delicious! All the food was extremely hot and fresh. Service: There was only one waitress for the entire place (understandable due to it being Sunday and not busy) so service was definitely lacking. The appetizer arrived AFTER the meal, which was definitely not when I expect for appetizers to arrive. The food did arrive very quickly though. Overall: Overall, the building was kept moderately clean. Service was tolerable. Food was eatable, but not delicious. The prices of the food was very cheap and you got a lot of food for your money, which is always good. UPDATE: Tried this place again. This time I ordered the dragon and Phoenix. This tasted like General Tso's. I moved it up to four stars. The service of course was still lacking with only one server (very few people there) and was not checked on very frequently.

We were halfway through the meal when I thought to take a photo. :)

This is a great Chinese restaurant. My wife and I ordered combination meals and an appetizer with two drinks, it was $26.00. Very delicious and we had so much left over that we had a whole additional meal each, to go. I strongly recommend trying this place out.

a few months back, my partner was visiting her sister at osu & made a stop at golden dragon cafe…read morebefore coming back to tulsa. i had the fried rice with tofu. i think the spice level was around 3. i wasn't familiar with this spot so i played it safe with the spice level (i LOVE spicy food) & level 3 did its job. it was super good & had so much left over, so much that i had it for the next 2-3 days. recently, i was in stillwater taking senior photos at osu & my partner's parents ended up getting our order. i got the same thing as last time except with chicken at level 5 with the spice. the fried rice was just as good as i had it the first time around when it was brought to me & the spice was subtle. it was a sunday, it's now tuesday & i STILL have plenty left (i plan on finishing it today). if you want food to hold you over, good food at that, this is your spot. with being leftovers, the flavor gets better & better each time i had it for the days. they have a lot to choose from between chinese & thai. soup, lo mein, fried rice, etc... maybe one day i'll actually sit in the establishment to enjoy the food instead of having my food compacted in a to-go container.

The restaurant is clean and the staff are wonderful and friendly. I ordered egg drop soup, 1 egg roll, Jasmine tea, and Cashew chicken. There was something seriously wrong with the soup. It was NOT good and the crispy noodles were very bitter. Like they haven't changed their oil in a month. Gross I spoke with possibly the owner and he said he doesn't eat the soup. He didn't sound like he was going to taste it to check. The egg roll was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten 4 of them. My entree was generic and salty. Most of the menu has the same brown sauce, so don't expect the dishes to have much difference in flavor profile. All in all, my review is generous at best.

This was our last meal in Stillwater after visiting from Los Angeles for a weeklong professional…read moredevelopment class at OSU. Service was amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I wanted shrimp but I didn't want the seafood combo so they substituted the fish out for more shrimp. The broth was on the sweet side but it was still so delicious! I love the raw egg that they gave to dip our items in as we pleased. The hot pot places in L.A. doesn't provide it, interestingly enough. Great place to dine and get your hot pot fix!

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT IN STILLWATER!…read more I always order the small ribeye with the sweet broth. I smother it in the sweet sauce given to you once your meat is served and wrap it in cabbage, and it's just to die for. I always leave having eaten too much food, but incredibly satisfied. This place is definitely an acquired taste, and you have to find the meat (and broth/sauce combos) that's right for you. I love that they give cabbage instead of lettuce (unlike many hotpot places). You can also reorder rice and not be charged for it! So great!! The environment is low-lit and comfy; it looks a little old in there. The service has always been so great, with waiters/waitresses that are so patient and more than willing to walk you through the menu. I've never waited for very long there, either. It's always been a great and positive experience. The pricing is on the higher side, and for a college student, that isn't ideal. I usually eat here once a month, or more if I can afford it. I'd eat it daily if I could, seriously. That would be my only complaint about the restaurant. But in this economy, I don't blame them. Overall, if I could eat this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I would. Seriously, it's that good.
