I was in town for a work event, and I went here with some colleagues, and we tried it for the first time. I enjoyed that the appetizers were very different and unique and things I never had before. The chips with the two dips were super yummy and very different in flavor Profile. Then the loaded fries with miso were amazing and an outstanding option. We also enjoyed edamame for a starter. Then we each ordered entrées, one person ordered sushi and the presentation alone just blew us away. The boat of sushi came out with dry ice and it was so cool. And then my meal as well as the other person's meal were crazy, large portions and just really good quality food. I will say my chicken Katsu had a little too much sauce and it was not the traditional sauce sauce, but still really good. The staff were also super friendly and when they heard it was our first time and were so helpful in suggesting different things and checking on us even the hostess wanted to know how experience was. Went here with my niece after visiting her at College. She recommended and so glad she did. The place was busy but the service was top notch. We ordered 3 roles, side salad, buttery Brussels sprouts and beef fried rice. They actually bring the rice on a steaming hot plate then pour soy sauce in it and mix it all up and finish at the table. It was a great presentation. That was followed by the super fun smoking sushi roll boat. Coolest thing I have ever seen in a restaurant (except for Gordon Ramsay's). The side salad was bigger than I was expecting and only $5.00. The buttery garlic sprouts were ok but I think we are all now used to the fried sprouts that are crunchy and tender. These weren't that. We really enjoyed our meal at Miso. The vibe is casual with nicely done decor throughout the restaurant. On our previous visit, we all had entrees, but on this visit we ordered sushi. Our server was super knowledgeable about the menu and attentive, without being intrusive. She recommended the crab cigars which were a nice twist on a crab Rangoon. We each ordered a couple of rolls. I can't speak for the other items on their menu, but Miso's roll game is STRONG. We've tried most of their rolls and they are packed full of flavor. This place is more fusion rather than traditional Japanese, with the creamy and spicy options. I love the fun textures and flavors. The most refreshing roll is the Naruto, which is wrapped in cucumber and has no rice, and the Grizzly roll has a little surf and turf action. All entrées come with rice and two sides so we ordered fried potatoes and and egg rolls. The fried potatoes were an odd choice but really delicious. The gyoza was good and my roll, Wonder Woman was really very tasty. I would order it again. But, I would also order one of the entrées like the chicken katsu because it's really a good value. Went on a day trip to Stillwater/OSU so my sister could take her midterm and we stopped at this sushi restaurant that she frequents a lot with her friends. I got the spicy tuna roll and spicy yellowtell roll. My sister for the volcano roll I think and I got a gin drink. They have more than just sushi and I'm wishing right about now that I had gotten their pork katsu to try! Service was great and food was brought out pretty fast for it being noon! The service was good. The food was ok. I ordered the spicy Korean ramen and it tasted pretty sweet. My husband ordered the spicy ramen and his flavor was better. It was more savory than sweet and it had spice to it. So he let me have his. He had ordered 3 more items from the menu so he wasn't stressing the food. Starting off this review saying most of our dinner was very good, but it did begin badly. The edamame had a ridiculous amount of salt (at the point of inedible) so we asked for a new order. The new order of edamame was not any better. The main dishes were brought out separately which creates an uncomfortable dining experience. And a few minor things to add: napkins were paper instead of cloth, the table wasn't properly cleaned, we weren't offered low sodium soy sauce, and the server did not have a clue how to do table side service. read more

This is another excellent example of why Stillwater is Oklahoma's food capital. While not as authentic as nearby Devoted, this is a great place to get sushi, hibachi, sake, and pretty much anything else in the menu. Definitely worth a repeat visit or two. read more

Visited on a Saturday evening with my husband and his parents around 5pm, trying to beat the dinner crowd. We had tried to visit the night before around 6:30 and it was packed. We were quickly sat in a back corner banquette booth. This restaurant isn't huge but they made good use of the space with their seating arrangements. The pink wingback chairs seem a little bigger than necessary for the available space, but they look nice. Our server was good, she made sure we had plenty of drink refills. We tried to order some veggie gyozas as an appetizer but they were out. We decided on some veggie spring rolls and crispy tofu steamed buns for the table - the steamed buns were my favorite!! The tofu had a super crispy coating on it and the sauce and pickled vegetables inside were perfect together. I could make a meal out of those no problem! My husband and I ordered the vegetarian ramen, my mother-in-law ordered a rice plate with shrimp, carrots, and potatoes, and my father-in-law ordered pho. We all really enjoyed our meals, and the huge bowls were stuffed with noodles and veggies (and not 75% broth). We were very happy with our meals and will definitely be back! Next time we plan to try some of the vegetarian sushi options, and hopefully the veggie gyozas. read more

My friend told me about this new sushi place and we thought it was really good! I would have given it 5 stars, but we asked for no cucumber in our sushi rolls and they put it in every roll. Our server offered to fix things, but we didn't want them to have to prepare everything again. We had 4 adults in our group. We had some great appetizers -gyoza (pork dumpling), Siomay (steamed dumpling) and Kimchi. My husband and i had a shrimp tempura roll, a philly roll, salmon nigiri, yellowtail tuna. All was fresh and tasty! The menu was extensive, not just sushi! They had ramen bowls and rice dishes too. I really liked the atmosphere too. I give this place a 3.5. Service was excellent. Server was super attentive. The goyza and the sushi were excellent! The ramen was good and I enjoyed it. It just seemed to be missing something, like an acid. The Katsu was covered in what was called a Katsu sauce which ended up being mayonnaise. The person I was with does not like Mayo and they were very nice and remade the katsu. I've never seen katsu sauce like this and certainly not completely covering the meat. Everyone was super nice and I will be back but I'll be more careful about asking about what the sauces are made of next time. read more

There is a judgmental and distasteful atmosphere when you sit down at your table, despite that, the food does not match the atmosphere.
