The food was excellent! Who would have thought that you could get such delicious Asian food in the little oil town of Cushing. I seldom order salmon. Ordering it in a small-town Oklahoma restaurant seems really risky. This restaurant is highly rated and they serve sushi. I'm thinking they have to serve fresh fish. Oh man, the salmon and everything that was served, was fresh and flavorful. I had the salmon Hibachi. The best most flavorful salmon that I have had. Served with fresh crisp lightly grilled vegetables and fried rice. It came with a choice of salad or soup. The salad was fantastic. Simple fresh lettuce with a mayo soy sweet dressing. This is good. My wife had the Pineapple Fried rice with shrimp. This was amazing also. Big shrimp, cashews, vegies, pineapple chunks and a perfect amount of yellow curry seasoning. Awarded recognition from my wife as the "Best Asian Food in Oklahoma." We started the meal with the Rich Appetizers. A sampling of the restaurant's variety. A perfect way to start the meal. Check the pictures. Order it. My wife also got one of them Boba Thai Tea things to enjoy on the drive back to Broken Arrow. A very nice small restaurant. Perfect service and food. Don't take my word for it. Read the Google reviews. 4.9 STARS! with 167 reviews as of this day. The menu is available on line. Bensu Asian Bistro very impressive!

We have been here many times over the years and always come away with mixed feelings. First the…read moredecor is vintage "low rent class" not quite dirty but close, ala 1960 style and has never been upgraded or renovated. It certainly is not inviting or even remotely attractive. They consistently scrimp on customer comfort. I understand a hibachi restaurant is warmer than normal due to the hot grill but at Nagoya the heat in the restaurant was almost unbearable. Looking around the restaurant revealed multiple people fanning themselves. The heat was very uncomfortable and I asked our wait person if he could adjust the air conditioning. He seemed confused and went to a light switch. I told him we needed cool air not the light switch. He left and another employee came and adjusted the thermostat. When we could tell no improvement I asked him again and he related the thermostat was "turned way down to 70 degrees"! Everyone at our table was clearly uncomfortable from the heat and they would only turn the temp setting down to 70 degrees! Regarding the food, we have noted a gradual decline in the quality over the years. The fried rice has almost no veggies in it anymore, just all rice now. I ordered filet mignon and my grandson ordered steak. The chef dumped the meat on the grill and none of us could tell any difference between the two, even though you pay more for filet mignon than plain steak. The chef grills the meat together and cuts it into pieces, dishes it onto your plates. My grandson and I carefully looked at my "filet" and his plain steak on our plates and absolutely could not tell any difference! Food taste is wildly variable as it is very "chef dependent". One chef may be really good while another is not so good, it therefore is a crap shoot, you never know if your meal will be good or regrettable. Lastly, in spite of the miserable heat in the restaurant, we waited more than half a hour before the "chef" decided to appear to begin our meal orders. The Chinese owners could learn from Japanese how best to run a Japanese hibachi restaurant. I am not sure we will go back which is a shame as years ago this place was much better.

The server/host did a great job of being super friendly and talkative along with making sure we were well informed on the menu and hearing we made good choices on our food selections. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños - which if you go, You must get!! For rolls we got 1. Tulsa Roll 2. Fire Dragon Roll 3. Tornado Roll (fried) All were so tasty, each in their own way. We were super impressed all around and will be back. I can't stop thinking about the stuffed jalapeños

When a…read morewaiter/waitress takes my order & asks about spice level, I usually "play it safe" & go to a 3 (their scale was 1-5... spice level 3 was subtle). Speaking of flavor, I'm sure the special blended soy sauce played a major part. On top of that, there's chili sauce at the table & that right there has a Shawn Michaels super kick to it. With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for ramen, sushi, bowls, etc... this is your spot. I was having a headache & really needed some food to help get rid of it (I was also in the area). Ramen usually does the trick & it prevailed as I started feeling better. Oishi came in the clutch.
