The tables appeared clean, and we were seated immediately. We visited during lunch hours, which run until 3:30, and ordered from the lunch menu. The restaurant wasn't very busy, although service was a little slower than we expected. Our waitress was very thorough when taking our order, and everything came out correctly. The food presentation was decent. I ordered the sesame chicken, but unfortunately mine was extremely overcooked--to the point that the chicken was actually splintering. Two of my boys ordered the garlic chicken, which was much more tender. It wasn't especially garlicky or spicy. My husband ordered the General Tso's chicken, and his chicken also appeared considerably more tender than mine. Both of my girls ordered sweet-and-sour chicken and seemed satisfied with their meals. I chose 2 egg rolls instead of soup. They tasted okay. Others in our party ordered the hot-and-sour soup, which I tried. I wasn't a huge fan, but I've also never had it before, so it may simply not be something I personally enjoy rather than an issue with how it was prepared. My fried rice just tasted off, nothing I can pinpoint. Overall, Jade Garden was a fairly average American-style Chinese restaurant. The interior was clean and trendy, our order was accurate, and several members of our family thought their meals were satisfactory. My sesame chicken was unfortunately extremely overcooked, and service was slower than expected considering the restaurant wasn't very busy, which is why I deducted 2 stars.
