This is a good restaurant in a very old building building, in a town that isn't very active. In the old buildings of downtown, it's set up in the middle and takes over a very narrow area. It's supposed to resemble an old Irish pub, and it does an ok job trying to, tho it seems more British than Irish in my opinion. There were several TV's along the upper walls on the bar side, but only one was showing sports. The other was showing Bob Ross painting channel, another some soap opera, and other looked like some sort of country home building channel. Was very odd choice for shows. Wife and I had the fish and chips. It was good. They use Haddock for the fish, which is a northern Atlantic fish, very big in Boston, MA. It's solid and flakey, batter was good and well fried. The fries were good, tho there could have been a healthier sampling. I will say the size of the fish was large. Usually places give out several small pieces of fish, this was one large one. So it is fish and chips, and not fishes and chips. We also had the pot stickers, which were good. There was 7 on the plate. Had good flavor. We had originally ordered the fried pickles, but they later came out and said they were out of fried pickles. Not sure how that happens unless they don't make them from scratch and rely on frozen bags of them. The staff was ok. Our waitress was little behind it seems, as it took a very long time to get our water refilled. Once the food came, she did a better job. For Enid, it's an impressive establishment, especially since there isn't much else other than fast foods in town. It's worth a taste.

We came here for a late dinner with a large group of around 7 people and they had no problems seating us quickly! None of us had been here before besides my boyfriend so we were surprised to see so many options especially in Enid. I got the ribeye and it was really tender and it was good but a little on the saltier side. I didn't have any drinks but everyone said the cocktails and liquor was fairly priced. Everyone else got the fish and chips or burgers and all had good things to say! The appetizers were really good too. Definitely not a bad spot to eat in Enid!

This place is typically done very well. The service is hit and miss at times but usually is pretty good. You typically get really good service at the bar if you can find a seat. You must try the Scottish Eggs and the 1664!

This amazing little find in Enid is my husband and my date night go to now. We absolutely love the vibe and laughter. This is a absolute must after a hard week at work. Food is hot and the drinks are amazing, I suggest the Irish mudslide with the grilled salmon with whiskey sauce. I also suggest the patio on a spring evening.... We look forward to our new found date night hang out now. Thank you for being amazing.

Ask the Community - Callahan's Pub & Grille

Can someone explain how they turn down a family reservation that includes a 9 year old? I've never had this happen unless it is officially classified as a bar vs restaurant. Feeling disappointed today in a 3 generation dinner attempt at Enid classic

We were stopped at the door when we tried to enter with a baby. We did not realize they were considered a bar and not a restaurant until that time. But we sure didn't want to jeopardize their liquor license so we had to leave. Then we knew for the… Read more

She said "yeah I just don't have the cherries or syrup" I told her that the original was made in 1880 and it didn't have any of that stuff in it except a quality rye whiskey. Then you stir it with bitters and sugar. Serve over a block of ice. She said "I've been trained and I've been bartending for 10 years. " I said " the drink is older than us and was invented before you and I were born." She asked what whiskey I'd like. She didn't have any Bullet brand or Woodford so she offered a Pinhook brand rye. It was $10.40 for a small 2 Ozs and she asks how much bitters..and sugar. (Didn't she just tell me she knew how to make an old fashioned? ) and that she'd been bartending 10 years. Then she dumped a 1/2 glass of chipped ice on top and asked if I wanted it stirred. I told her "sure" Hell she had it so full of ice she couldn't stir it and it watered down the drink. We'll come back for the music and ask a manager to correct everything. The customer is always right and I didn't need the attitude from you. I tipped your jar anyway snowflake.

I still remember the pride when Dirks Bentley wore the CCR shirt on the awards show. I love their music. I still hit Spotify all the time. Thank you. Second thank you. A BIG one for inviting Will Hoge. I have followed him for almost 19 years now. I have seen him live many times. In fact.... I saw him in Austin the night before I saw him at Grady's. Epic show in Austin. Magical. I live in El Reno. I haven't always. So I would be and am grateful for any live music near me. I will go over and spend a bill. Drink. Laugh. Sing. As often as I can. I think Mr. Cross for even giving me that opportunity. Now. The lights. The sound system. All the buffering built into the walls. It is a great place to listen to music because I think Mr. Cross knows music. But.... the high top tables in front of the stage. No. People come and stand. And when I am sitting... I cannot see. I got there at 6:30 pm for a 8:00 pm show to claim my spot. My first number is not a 2. It is a 4. I loved that all the people who were there and their first number was a 2.... and they knew Will's songs. And sang. Support the music. Yes. But when they were standing in front of me.... blocking my well staked out view of the stage.... I was annoyed. Low top tables please. The bouncer cleared all the glass and bottles in a timely manner. I get that. Appreciate it. I saw bar fights often in dive bars when my first number was a 2. I appreciate the staff. Glass is dangerous. The Bloody Mary that the nice girl hobbling around in a boot made me... really good. All the staff .... very nice. She was great and I tipped her well. Ask her. So grateful. Really. That Will was invited and came. Thank you. And I know it is a dive bar. I have been in so so many. And I will return to this one. I just hope next time... may be there will be a few low top tables and chairs in front of the stage. And may be a watchful bouncer that will help encourage the lively people who stood in front of me and basically took over the show... will be reined in a bit. Mr. Cross. Respectfully. You are a delight. I thank you for the bar. It's been a great success. I hope it continues to be. Respectfully. A very enthusiastic fan of Live music. And I have a credit card... and I am certainly willing to give you my money if I can see the Band not the back of another patrons head all night long.
