Love eating here when I get the chance. So far have only gotten to try the barbecue bacon burger and the pasta. I have loved both.

It's popular. It's got history & tradition…read more It's loud on loud. And it's fun! You mention Stillwater and most anyone knows the Eskimo Joe's brand. This place is as Okie State as anywhere in town, with multiple levels and people EVERYWHERE. Want to visit on a fall Saturday game day? Yeah, so does everyone else. But Eskimo Joe's is big enough to handle a LOT of people, what with multi-tiers and decks to accommodate those crowds. I can't imagine what the fire marshal has to go through when assessing the place, but hey, they serve good bar & grille food and plenty of drinks, so those are wins, right? Find a seat - often 'open' seating during those busy-busy times - and you'll have a screen sightline in any direction. Sportsball is everywhere, and with numerous bars in different areas, you don't have to go far to get a drink. The menu has some, uh, college-friendly eats, like Frito-pies & smothered fries, big burgs, & more, like the Messy Pig, a delicious disaster of a pulled pork sandwich. It's not exactly that heart-smart variety, but YOLO, and they do have plenty of light fare. Grab a beer in their recognizable plastic cups and just kick back and enjoy. The food is good, the drink prices are fair, and the atmosphere is more than just Joe College. Service comes at you from all directions but you're free to sidle up and get your drinks wherever you find an open spot. Happy hour runs afternoons Mon-Fri and the service staff will tell you that every day is 'fry day', suggesting fries smothered with goodies. You're likely not parking right in front of EJ's, but that is kind of the mystique. Also, don't miss a run through their branded merch store because the Eskimo Joe's logo is fairly well-represented everywhere. Yes, it's a 'bar' and yes it's loud, but soak up that college-y vibe at one of the premier spots in Stillwater.

While in Stillwater on a work assignment., we found Eskimo Joe's. Literally right next to Oklahoma…read moreState. Ambiance was nice and spread out throughout many dining rooms and bars. Plentiful seating. We ordered a set of onion rings/zucchini sticks that were very good. For our main meal, I had a Sweet Pepper Bacon Cheeseburger and my wife had a Turkey Malt. Both were good. Turkey was a tad dry but was otherwise tasty. The VERY BEST was our server! She was a student at the university with a great background working with horses her whole life. Nicest young lady we could have met on this trip. Will definitely be back to Eskimo Joe's next year while in Stillwater.

So that was an experience. My girlfriend and I drove down…read moreto Guthrie to visit her hometown and I suggested that we go and eat somewhere she has been before for our anniversary. We accidentally booked for the incorrect restaurant and ended up here. Best mistake. We had GARRETT as our server who was extremely helpful and one of the most friendly servers I think I have ever had. He gave us a great set of recommendations and we proceeded to order. My girlfriend getting the cheese dip and the Wagyu burger. I got the chicken. To be honest the chicken and cheese dip were amazing... However. I stole a bite of her Wagyu burger. My god. I told her a 15 minute story on the way home about how the burger reminded me of a crappy burger I had from my childhood and it made me feel like a kid again. I mean it was so good I literally ordered a second one to go. I ordered a second burger. To go. After having one bite of my girlfriends. I proceeded to leave with my burger in its to go package. About 3 minutes down the road I'm driving after having eaten an appetizer, my entree and each of us having our own desserts. I immediately tore into the to-go package to make sure everything was there. By then it was too late. The smell touched my nostrils. I tore into the burger. And let me tell you. I have 0 regrets about it. I have no shame. I blasted "God is" by Kanye West, rolled the truck windows down and killed a 2lb stacked wagyu burger while driving down a country backroad in Oklahoma watching the sunset. God bless the USA. Thank you Garrett. And thank you God for that burger.

My favorite restaurant of the year!…read more 5 stars all the way, from the food, presentation, service, staff, decor, and vibe it was all perfect. I got the Wagyu Burger and chose the Prosciutto-Truffle Mac as my side. The burger was absolutely delicious, and the Mac is now in my Top 5 all time Mac selections. A neighborhood gem for sure! Be sure to ask for Kyler!
