Everyone talks about what a great place this is for breakfast. We walk into a large round room, completely encased in windows, giving us an uninterrupted view of the airstrip. We settled into a window seat for two. The menu is simple. Breakfast items on one side, lunch on the other. A little pricey, compared to other restaurants with the same fare. It's cozy, the waitress greeted us with a warm smile. Dad ordered biscuit and gravy with a side of hash browns. I ordered the #2, which is the standard 2 eggs, meat (I chose ham) hash browns and home made bread (Or toast, but who chooses toast over home made bread?) While waiting, I had a chance to admire the small planes hanging from the ceiling. I noted 2 people sitting at the counter, 2 groups of middle-aged people and almost all of the seats at the window were taken by single, middle-aged men. I was instantly intrigued. No children. The youngest person in the room was the waitress. She was probably mid-thirties. She told us there would be a bit of a wait, as the cook had a large go order she had started on before we arrived. Fair enough. Conversation around the room indicated a regular crowd. Breakfast arrived. The ham was sliced thick, the homemade bread sumptuous. The hash brown serving was more than generous. The gravy cane in a large bowl, made from scratch, as we're the biscuits. No wonder everyone says the breakfast is good. I daresay we will be back, even if the menu prices are a bit steep. First time here (& not from here) for the separation of one of our pilots. Food came out quickly even though almost every table was booked. Ma&Pa restaurant in need of a renovation; though coworkers did tell me the whole terminal was getting renovated. TIPS: 1) Drive to the terminal (end of road despite what GPS shows) 2) Restaurant is INSIDE the terminal REMEMBER: Regional airport (non-commercial here) so small lot, tiny restaurant, under construction. read more

I may be tragically unhip for saying this, but Barnstormers is one of the best restaurants in Enid. The food is homemade unhealthy cheesy gravy buttery goodness! The place isn't much to look at, but the ambiance is really created by the fact that you can see the Air Force kids doing touch and go's while chowing down on some serious American grub. The club sandwich and chicken fried steak are the favorites. They are only open for lunch Monday through Friday, but this is one of the gems of Enid... If you have friends who are (un)fortunate enough to be spending time in Enid, this is a must see. read more

Truckstop service :( but deli food :) I ordered the club sandwich and it was grilled and yummy! I thought the croutons on the table were random, but tasted so good I still ate them! I had never seen this place before. It's outside Enid a couple miles at the airport. It's a cute little airport like the show Wings! The restaurant is surrounded by windows where u can see the planes outside which I thought was pretty cool. I'll go back for sure. Not sure why Yelp thinks it has closed down? read more

Went to Barnstormers with a group of seniors for lunch. The place was busy. Service was impressive for waiting on a group. Food was the best I've had so far in Enid. Chicken fried steak was meaty and crunchy with real gravy that didn't taste packaged. The coconut cream pie was delightful and not too sweet. The staff works hard and stay busy throughout the lunch rush. I'm tired of seeing reviews for Enid restaurants that are over a year old so decided to leave a new one. read more

They are so popular that they're always busy but the ladies still take such good care of all customers and the atmosphere is awesome! It's neat to see the planes fly in and out while you're eating. Multiple times I've heard that people will FLY IN just to eat there!!!! And don't forget to try their pies!!!!! read more

We loved it. They need signs to point you to the restaurant turn right after you cross the railroad tracks then turn left to the terminal. The restaurant is located inside the terminal. Open for lunch M-F 1100-1400. They have homemade desserts too. read more

I rarely give a low review, but this was Attitudinal service and only a pretty OK breakfast from a surprisingly TINY breakfast menu. I think the rave reviews must all be for lunch, which is NOT served until 11 AM. What's up with that? No chicken-fried-steak breakfast?! Early risers are ready for lunch by 10, and ready for a few more breakfast choices. Guess we'll give lunch a try, next time we're in town, because lunch reviews say we deserved better! read more

Was in town for work and this place is awesome. The view and atmosphere is really a treat right off the Tarmac. As for food, I had the chicken fried steak with fries and fried okra for appetizer with my coworkers as we were in town to visit a nearby plant. Barnstormers is a great place to eat lunch. I agree with the other reviews about being fun to watch the planes land and take off. My favorite parts are the chicken salad sandwich and wonderful soups, all home-made. I also tend to schedule business meetings at lunch then call in the order and pick it up from Barnstormers. Everyone loves to do lunch meetings here at work cause they know they'll eat well! read more
