Everyone that comes in town to visit we take them here and have had rave reviews. My favorites are the carne asada taco plate (plus the salsa verde at the table) and the quesabirria tacos, but we've tried almost everything now and have never been disappointed. Had take-out yesterday--first time I've been to Sandy's, and the last. I ordered two enchilada plates and two street tacos. Street tacos were dry and had little taste--and expensive! Two bucks each? I used to live in San Antonio (moved from there 3 years ago) and the general price for street tacos was 3 for 2 bucks. Enchiladas... rubbery, dry, and not a great flavor. Where was the sauce, the cheese? None inside or out. Rice was nothing special, refried beans were okay. People rave about this place, but I don't see why. read more

Let me just say that there are amazing street tacos all the way in the middle of the country. Just stopped by Sandy's Tacos and tried several options. Tripa, barbacoa and Pastor along with two Birria tacos. Just wow! Tripa had a little crisp just like I like it! Pastor had an excellent flavor and the birria...Wow! The folks here are awesome and checked several times to make sure that everything was good. Oh! When they ask if you want jalapeños and limes. Just say yes! Even if you're not a real fan of jalapeños. I have had hundreds in my life but these are on a different level. They topped off a perfect meal! If you're worried, this place is very updated and clean. Stopped here for a quick lunch. 1) Place is small and welcoming. It is also clean. A few tables and you seat yourself. 2) You order and pay first... and get your food and drink after. 3) Food is delicious and plenty. Big plates and cheap prices. 4) Excellent place with a home-feel! The new location is at 1407 S Van Buren St! This location has seen everything from Golden Chick to Korean food and I have a feeling Sandy's Tacos is here to stay. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're at home. Prices are amazing and the staff is super friendly and warm regardless of whether Spanish is your first language or not! You can tell this is a restaurant that is cherished by the community. My husband and I got a couple of quesa birria tacos, asada, barbacoa, and pastor. When you drive up it looks like a diner from the 50's but they've put out tables for outside dining beside a rock fountain and rock garden. There are a few seats inside as well but this is a tiny little place. However, it's got some great Tex-mex food. Everything is cooked fresh and from scratch! It's just delicious! The place is in one of those old style 1960-1970s roadside diners that's tiny with about ten seats. In this minuscule site they have about ten employees who are constantly working to make food because there is so much business. I dined in and the food came quickly. It was a large burrito and it was packed with goodness. Everything was seasoned well and cooked well. The side salsas were fantastic. The meal came with several lightly grilled jalapeños with a seasoning that tasted like Tajin. They were delicious with my meal. I was going to save half of it for later, but ended up eating the whole thing right there. I didn't mind the place being small but I could see it being an issue for family dining or during rush hour times. The price was also really good for the quality of the food. The staff always has a smile and really tried to take care of me. I'll be visiting again. read more

Everyone kept talking about them, so I figured I better get down here and try them out. I felt like I was in a REAL Mexican place. They have a huge menu sign with pictures. I know what that means! When you aren't sure what to order, go with one of each flavor of tacos, which I did. These are the small, street Taco style, wrapped 3 to a package since I ordered 6. Green sauce! Yay! Limes and jalapenos on the side. The jalapenos looked like the were sliced down the middle, cooked, then waiting with the limes to be added. There are burritos and plate dinners. A small menu of favorites people like to order. It was busy and I had to park in the street. The small lot only holds about 10 cars. The entire place is pretty claustrophobic when you go in. Low ceilings, 6-8 tables, a tiny air conditioner blasting away in the corner. You can enter on either side of the register, which is good, because it is congested from all of the go orders waiting. There was a huge go order and two people ahead of me, but those orders were out incredibly fast! I saw 3 or 4 ladies in back, rushing to get the food out. Drink choices are Mexican colas, pina and horchata on tap. I got a large horchata, which are a rare find in Enid! I took my order home. The food was so well insulated, it was as hot as if I had ate it there. No wonder everyone raves about this place. Yes, o will be back to work my way through the menu! read more

The carnitas and al pastor street tacos were delicious! The meat was well seasoned and juicy! We also enjoyed the rice and beans! The rice was moist and beans were flavorful! No better tacos in town!! Small location, but they have plans to expand. The staff is phenomenal and their food is even better. We even had the owner's son drive his car to meet us at a stop light during the lunch rush because they'd forgotten to give us a single tamale! There is nothing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend, but I will say that the carnitas tacos are 100% our favorite item. The horchata is YUM and the flan is amazing! I'm from OKC and travel here frequently for work, atleast lately. Awesome tacos. The rice and beans are really good also. It does take about 10 minutes to get your order though. The hot salsa has a nice kick. Very friendly people work here and you can order inside and they will bring it out to your vehicle. Awesome. read more
