If you haven't been to The Fried Taco yet, you are seriously missing out. This place delivers on flavor, texture, and quality in a way that sets a whole new bar for comfort food. The tacos here are an absolute masterclass in execution. They achieved that elusive, perfect golden crunch on the outside without being overly greasy. Inside, the ingredients were fresh, beautifully seasoned, and perfectly balanced. Every single bite had the ideal ratio of shell, filling, and toppings. They were, without exaggeration, flawless. read more

This is a great spot in the food hall in Edmond! There was quite a wait on a Tuesday night, but my empanadas came out hot and fresh. I loved the dipping sauces. It's clean and nice inside with a good amount of seating. It has outdoor seating too. The dips are all good too. read more

Cool little place, the style of the restaurant and outside is inviting. The service for first time being there was good all around, food came out hot and fresh. The salsa has a good flavor, odd to have it in a hot form and the guacamole is made with mangos. May not be the case, but the salsa that came with the chips was mild and the one that came with the entrees was a little more spicy. read more

LOVE the fried taco. Have been going for years, since it was at the collective, it's always so so good. At this specific location the service was great, all the people behind the counter were super friendly. Great overall read more

What do you say when its all good! First please support this local restaurant especially in the Ice House/Railyard area! So many great restaurants have come and gone! This one is no different! You wont be disappointed, it is very good. This was the first time we had been there, it was fresh, the tacos were unique and quite tasty. The nachos were so filling, with queso and grated cheese, lots of chicken and al the fixins. Only reason its only 4 stars was the service. We were the only customers in there and the service was not good. I had to ask for our chips and dips after our entrees were ready. It took for ever to get our beverages and forget about refills. I hope it was just a bad night and they were wanting to close. We will give the service another try because the food was worth it! read more

Service was incredible in past. Now it is not. I went to Icehouse Project tonight to go to Fried Taco... and looked up hours before... I was there considerably before 8pm. It was dark inside... so I went next door to get food. I saw at least 3 more families try to go there for food. What I did see was employees coming out from there and angrily getting plates and cutlery for Fried Taco from the shared disposal bin. This place posts about more people should frequent local places. And there are many of us that want to and trying!!! read more

Their classic tacos and chips and queso are to die for! I'm staying at an Airbnb down the street and I've eaten there three times! Their staff are always friendly! The only thing I'm not wild about is the music...it's a little too loud for my taste but my teenager would just say I'm too old...lol! read more

OK let me start off by saying my mouth is on FIRE!! But definitely in a good way. I ordered the Nashville Hot chicken taco with a side of the blueberry habanero salsa. OMG sooo good. It's not for wimps though so don't even try it if you can't handle heat. Next in line was the jerk chicken taco with pineapple salsa. I liked it but felt I needed a lil more of a kick. I think if they just add a very small amount of salt to the salsa, it would take it over the top. That first taco is gonna be difficult to beat. Next up, Bbq jackfruit taco. This taco is yummy yummy. This could easily be my go to taco if I lived near by. The bbq jackfruit has a great bbq flavor without being overbearing. I saw online that people ordered it without the broccoli slaw. They're really missing out. It definitely elevates it but can definitely stand on its own. The chips and salsa are great as well. Not that store bought stuff. Homemade chips with a warm tomato salsa that's got the right amount of heat. Oh and the Mango Hibiscus Lemonade was good too. I wanted a lil more tartness from the lemon but overall it was good. I'm only in town till next Thursday but I'm sure I'll make another appearance at The Fried Taco before I leave. Those guys/gals know what they're doing!!! read more

Chill environment, great food, good service. The quesadilla was hearty, and the chips and salsa are yummy and they are reasonably priced

A great addition to the area! And the fact that they have a "yard" area for your kids ...YES! Amazing! The kiddos are able to stretch their legs a little( in a safe space ) while the family enjoys their food. Everything was really good but lacked a little bit in the flavor department. The carne asada fries were great! But the feature of the dish - the carne asada - was just salty and lacking in the colorful spices I was expecting for carne asada. The empanadas were the table favorite! The bread was super flaky and crispy while the meat/filling inside remained perfectly moist. The beef and carne asada empanadas were both hits! Especially with the creamy dill dipping sauce. Pro tip: ask for the spicy ketchup/Mayo dip for your empanadas too! The margaritas were so refreshing. Then adding the tajin rim *YUM*. Thankful for super friendly and helpful staff at this place as well!! We will be back for sure! read more

We had dinner here again the other day. Great experience, like always. Brisket quesadilla doesn't disappoint. Although, now that I know they have pickled onions, I'll be adding those to it going forward. And you can't have a brisket quesadilla (or really any taco/quesadilla here) without the blueberry hot sauce. Not gonna lie, it will light you up, but cut it with some sour cream and you're golden. Chips and queso were also nice. Add a side of Puerto Rican Aso Pao chicken and rice soup and it's time to slap your momma. Love the food here. Just wish we could get outta here without spending $80 bucks lol. Staff are very friendly. Restaurant is very clean and tidy. It's very comfortable to sit, eat, and chill for a while. And there's a playground just outside for the kiddos to enjoy when it's not cold as ice outside. Give it a shot. You'll enjoy it, trust me. Little tip: If your kids get a kids meal, their taco/quesadilla comes in a dinosaur shaped taco holder (it's pretty awesome). They love this and will remember it. When I ask my son- do you wanna go to The Fried Taco tonight- he's like huh? But when I say- do you wanna go to the dinosaur taco holder place, he's like OH YEAH lol. read more

Great tacos! The white queso is some of the best I've ever had! The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Returned to the Fried Taco tonight. The food and service was awesome. We both had the chips and queso and brisket tacos. Everything was perfect....as were the margaritas! Keep up the great work!! read more

They haven't updated the menu so I believed I was getting a drink. They also messed up on my order. I ordered pork tacos and got ground beef. I would have liked the communication before the purchase on what comes with the meal and then preparing the meal properly. I got it to go so I didn't know until it was too late but I don't even like ground beef. It's like $15 bucks for a meal and I didn't get a drink or the correct tacos. read more

Taste of food was great. I had the old fashioned ground beef & jackfruit tacos. Also the green chili tomatillo salsa. The ladies with me enjoyed churros. Both the ones covered with caramel and the ones covered in chocolate. These are full size churros served 4 to an order. The chips to dip are better than most. Queso & salsa was good too. We would eat there again. read more

I loved this place from the first time I stopped in and I continue to love it each time!! They specialize in fried taco shells, but they have much more than that! Start by ordering their coconut Lavender lemonade. It's addicting! They even sell it by the gallon. Their yucca fries are a must as well. Their menu has plenty of options, something for everyone. I always order the brisket taco (purple Sriracha slaw, Cheddar cheese and white BBQ sauce) and the pork (potato bits). Each with tender meat and always fill me up! They also have chips and salsa, empanadas, and dessert. read more

The Fried Taco made me feel like I was back in East L.A. at a mom and pop Taqueria getting that delicious fried tacos. Corn tortilla filled with your choice of; shredded pork, shredded chicken, shredded beef, and ground beef - deep fried crispy and golden, depending on your meat choice they will top with; shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, and many more toppings. I ordered the old-fashioned, ground beef and a chicken fried taco. Both tacos were absolutely delicious - full of flavor. My side was a cup of chicken and rice soup. The chicken broth was very tasty with rice, and a whole chicken thigh. We also ordered their coconut, lavender lemonade - very tasty. They also serve a variety of beer. There's indoor/outdoor seating and games featuring cornhole. Great food, friendly customer service. read more

We took our daughters here for a taco date. It was wonderful. The food was good. Although, look out for the heat on the Hot Chicken Taco. Due to the perfect location of this restaurant, we were able to eat delicious tacos, drink American Solera beer, and watch our kiddo play on the Grasshopper toy in the beer garden. There were other parents there, and it was about as casual and fun as you can get with kids. Call me foolish, but I wasn't prepared for alllll of my tacos to be fried. Luckily, they were incredibly tasty. They brought our kiddo her quesadilla in the cutest dinosaur. It made her night. What a great touch. read more

Ahhmazing! I live for tacos so I absolutely couldn't wait to try this place. It did not disappoint. There is outdoor seating in a small courtyard with games. The inside has a laid back vibe. Walk thru line to order, no wait staff. It's super clean and efficient. I had a ground beef taco and a chicken ranch taco. Both were amazing. I prefer the beef over the chicken but wouldn't turn either down! Chips and queso (white cheese) was tasty. My husband had tacos and an empanada. He loved it all especially the empanada. read more

We really enjoyed the Beef Empanada & Chicken Bacon Ranch Empanada, as well as the Brisket Taco (my favorite), Old Fashioned Ground Beef Taco, and the Caribbean Jerk Taco!!! We thought the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco was too spicy for us to enjoy. We also tried all 3 sauces on the side & liked the Avocado Tomatillo and the Pineapple Express! The Blueberry Yum Yum was also way too spicy for us! Maybe we're wimps when it comes to spice, but personally I like spice when it doesn't overpower the whole flavor. Left a review almost 2 years ago, tried to eat here and they would not answer the phone. Call today for Cinco de Mayo, wanted to see if they had anything fun going on for the family or what specials they had, if any. Figured I would try them out, been wanting to go here and it's been 2 years so why not! They answered the phone, "We are not accepting over the phone orders for Cinco de Mayo" then hung up on me. Thought, what the heck. Ok, they are probably slammed, not taking phone orders is reasonable but dang. Waited a few minutes after I thought about it more, perhaps I just got disconnected. Called again, phone call was the same, just more aggressive. Their service was garbage two years ago and it's garbage today. If you despise your career this much, make a change. If you manage your business this way, you won't continue to be in business. ‍ read more

The ambiance is great, the menu is good, the actual food, is pretty good, the empanadilla's (they call them empanadas) were ok. Prices, are okay, if the food was fantastic I'd be more happy about paying $30 for two servings of food. I ordered the nachos, and did I read what came on them which sounded great, they came out with no toppings other than the carnitas and cheese. No big deal, so I went up front to ask for sides of pico and the other stuff it was missing. She said okay but I'll have to charge you; so I gently stated that's fine but your menu said those items came on my item. She then asked the chef's in back who realized they forgot and put the very tiny sides out for me. I said thank you! and kindly asked for a bigger side and she then stated it didn't come with onions, you sure? I gave up, and ate my food, which was good but not hot. I wish I could give them a better review, but their Customer service needs some work. This is our second visit, my husband is PR and we wanted to love it, but we just didn't, and that's disappointing. read more

How is this place not packed on a Saturday night?!! Was excited to try this cute restaurant located in the Ice House Project in Edmond after spotting a fellow yelper's review. Let's start with the house drinks! I tried the lavender coconut lemonade after reading fellow yelper Krystel's review. She was spot on! So yummy! My son tried the mango hibiscus lemonade and I took a sip and it was SO good, too! Onto the food. It's all fried, but it's in the restaurant's name so you know what's in store. My son had the chicken tacos- plain, and loved them. My other son ordered the chicken quesadilla and liked it. I ordered the quesadilla with Jack fruit and it was good. Nice to have a vegetarian option. We also ordered the yucca fries (we didn't care for the mayo ketchup) and the queso without chorizo. It was nice and thick. Solid chips, too. My husband ordered the Korean taco and pork taco. He said the Korean was delicious but didn't get a chance to try the pork because they accidentally gave him chicken instead. Still giving them five stars because they hired well. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable with their menu and salsas. They even let me quickly know which house drinks had dye (allergy). We finished the meal with the apple and guava empanadas. They were super fried and gooey but nice and sweet. The restaurant is designed well with cheerful decor, and has comfortable seating inside. There's lots of outdoor seating as well. It's a quaint area overlooking the IceHouse courtyard with hanging lights, oversized Jenga, and oversized checkers to keep patrons entertained while waiting. It was too hot to be out there tonight (almost 90°!) but it will be great in the fall or spring. Looking forward to the next time we come, and am pretty sure it will be packed when more people come out to try this little gem. If you're in the area come check out this place!! read more

I've been hooked since the first time I bit into one of these deliciously crunchy and carefully curated tacos! There are so many options to choose from, like the Mango Hibiscus Sweet Tea (try it, it's everything you've ever wanted) and TFT updates their menus often with new and creative items. Service is great and the atmosphere is always relaxing. I love that they have a location in Edmond with the Ice House Project, because it's now more convenient for me! Although, it may be dangerous for my wallet, because I crave them often! I think every one should try the Fried Taco, but beware... you may become addicted like me. read more

We've been here several times and have had great experiences every time. This area is really fun, so we often bring the kids out for food, and they can play on the big grasshopper play equipment while we drink a couple of beers at the big seating area in front of American Solera. Mondays they have a special where if you buy an adult entrée, you get a kid's entrée for free, so we take advantage of that pretty regularly. The tacos and empanadas are always very tasty, and I really like the sauces they have. Sauces are what separate the average taco places from the very good ones in my opinion, and they have the sauce game on lock. I've never had any service issues - the employees are kind, and the food is always ready quickly. read more

I would give the place another shot, but I did not have the greatest experience. The staff seemed frazzled by multiple orders submitted at the same time, but two of us had to check back and wait while our order was started after the rest of the group was nearly finished eating their food. The mango lemonade is really good. I preferred the chicken taco over the brisket taco. The texture and amount of moisture with both meats is like what might come from a slow cooker. I think it would be better with smoked brisket. The elote is okay, but rather "watery" where I've had thicker/creamier I like better. The outdoor seating area is enjoyable and easy to clear our own table. read more

We have enjoyed The Fried Taco at The Collective in Midtown so Imagine our delight when we saw a new location closer to where we live. We dropped on for a late lunch and were not disappointed at all. This location is in the new Ice House District and is super convenient right off 2nd Street. There's loads of parking in front and behind. We chose the white queso, mango quacamole, and a couple of tacos to round out the meal. It's all top notch and exactly what you would expect of you have visited the other location or the food truck. I really love the tacos and ambiance here. But the lavender coconut lemonade has my heart! I wish I could buy it by the gallon! While I do think the tacos are great they are pretty messy so be sure to grab extra napkins. The kid meal comes in adorable Dino taco holders. How cute and a great original touch.
