    Chicken Tortilla Soup

I am currently stuffing my face and couldn't wait to write this review. HOLY GUACAMOLE. The food is incredible. I ordered UberEats and took advantage of their buy 1 get 1 promo for the taco platter. Went with the carne asada with black beans and the other was the al pastor with refried beans. Both come with a side of rice, a corn tortilla quesadilla & potatoes. The carne seems more like ground beef but delicious. The al pastor stole the show!!! I also ordered chips, salsa, guac & the queso dip. All excellent and wonderful snack. Lastly, my favorite was the chicken tortilla soup. Perfect in every way. This was my first dining experience with this restaurant and I am blown away. Can't wait to bring my friends here to dine in! Take a look at my photos. The food is mouthwatering!

Food was amazing. We got 4 street tacos and loaded nachos with green chile pork. The portions were way generous. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. But the best part was the service. Once the young gentleman at the desk realized we were cold, he turned up the thermostat so we would be comfortable. Who does that anymore?? Definitely check out this place.

The thing I walk away from Cafe Sol remembering is the great service. The staff seemed to genuinely want our experience to be a great one. They checked on us several times and were eager to ensure we had all we needed. The restaurant is fairly small, and it was busy with most tables filled by the time we left. You order at a counter, and then find a table. The food was presented nicely. We all tried different things, and the best to protein for me was the Al Pastor. The other food didn't knock my socks off, but it was all pretty good. If we lived more near this area, I would go here again

We pass by this place all the time and today after scrolling through yelp I decided it was finally time to try it out. Let me just say this bring your tumms or whatever cause this place has some legit heat to not only it's food by too the sauces they bring out. I got the supreme tacos with chips and dips, like ordering out of a food truck with a restaurant attached haha. Great attention to service, never bugged us too much haha. Very authentic to the core Latin/Mexican food. We've definitely found a new spot to go and you should as well if your nearby.

Cafe Sol has amazing customer service and even better food! Taylor was so kind and helpful, and the owner is phenomenal!! We will definitely be back!

Stopped by Cafe Sol! The staff which I suspect are the owners are nice! They were attentive but did forget about us after they brought our food. Food was good. Loved the variety of salsas and enjoyed the bean dip. All in all it was good.

Cafe Sol is small but punches a big punch of flavor. I am obsessed with their habanero and creamy garlic salsa! They have a lot on their menu so have fun choosing and enjoy.

Today I was struggling to think of where to eat.. as I passed by this little shopping center, I noticed this place have very high reviews. So naturally I had to pull right in to try it out! We came in right around 12, there was 3 in my party and maybe 2 other tables in the whole place. They gave us cups at the counter and suggested we get anything we'd like. I tried the horchata and initially it was a touch sweet but, as the ice watered it down, I enjoyed it very much! After that I tried the cantaloupe juice and it was incredible! My new favorite juice lol I ordered the street tacos, others at the table got the ceviche tostadas & green chile stew. They brought us free chips & queso/salsa and both were a good start to the meal. Chips were nice and crunchy, queso tasted like it was house made, salsa was chunky and had a nice flavor. The tacos were wonderful! I got 4 different meats and easily devoured them all. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place (:

One of the best restaurants around. Great staff. Owner is super nice. All of their food is good. It's a Latin restaurant but one of the best things I've had recently is a Ramen bowl with a Latin flare. Delicious!!!!

    California Burrito and Chicken flautas

Being from Southern California we love our Mexican food, and Cafe Sol is LEGIT! From the incredibly friendly and efficient staff, to the fresh, filling, and reasonably priced dishes....you can't go wrong. My husband had a California Burrito (which if it's authentic includes French fries), and it was excellent. I had the Flautas platter. The entire plate was delicious. The rolled tacos were crunchy and full of chicken, and covered with fresh veggies and sour cream. We will be back for sure!

The most "okay" authentic Mexican food. Everything looks and smells like it's authentic but soon you realize its not. Beans are good but really runny. Probably would look more authentic with queso fresco instead of the mixed shredded cheese. Rice is good but could use more tomato flavor. Carne asada tacos are okay. The meat looked more like ground beef which took away from the experience/quality/taste. Not much flavor so thank goodness for the salsa, lime and salt. Our order: Taco Plate, tostada's with chicken, and a jarrito for a little over $40. Glad to have tried it but probably won't return.

Drinks we started with Inca Kola (lemonade) and Maracuya (Mango Juice). These were a great starter, not tarts but not overly sweet. As an appetizer we got Patacones con ceviche de camaron. These are fried plantains like chips, topped with shrimp and an amazing sauce that will make your mother water. It's served warm and best to be picked up and eaten. This will get you ready for your entree. For a fish entree we had Ceviche de pescado. This is a dish with fish and corn in lemon juice and hot peppers. It's served cold on a bed of lettuce with sweet potato slices. It's very easy on the eyes, flavorful, good mix between the fish and red onions. The sweet potatoes gave it a good contracting flavor. Best eaten with the hot peppers and lemon juice. Our final entree was Lomo Saltado. This is a beef dish served over beans and tomatoes with rice, red onions and cilantro sauce. I put a bed of rice down, covered with onion, then beans, then the beef (which had the most amazing tenderness) and topped with the cilantro sauce. The sauce pulls the whole meal together, and all the flavors works amazingly with each other. Finally we finished with Flan Lucuma. Picture traditional flan but instead of a caramel type topping it was covered in a Peruvian fruit juice that gave it some amazing flavor and not an overpowering sweet. We will definitely be back for more. The staff were so sweet and kind. Very helpful and helped us pick out some great choices. You won't be disappointed.

We tried a couple of appetizers - the stuffed avocado was really tasty. The fish ceviche was definitely different than ceviche im used to but it still was worth trying. Definitely more creamy. The one appetizer we didn't care for was the potatoes. That was, just weird. Cold and flavorless. I enjoyed my arroz con pollo. The green sauce really helped. Otherwise the chicken was pretty bland. The potato that came with mine was creamy and great. The fried rice was actually pretty delicious that my friend ordered as well as the Saltada. Overall, great experience. Probably a one time thing for me since a few things just were more on the bland side for me but that's personal preference. They have the robot that brings out food for you like at certain hot pot restaurants. The robot was not precise and it would stop at random table instead of the exact table where it should be. The el mar which is a seafood combination dish and included lobster tail, shrimps, and a piece of salmon. The dish was really cheap, only $23.99. The shrimps and salmon were good. The lobster tail was not the most fresh. The meat at body end was soft/soggy. The mixed vegetables were frozen vegetables. Please never ever use frozen mixed vegetables. I would rather pay a little more for fresh vegetables. I didn't quite understand the use of salsa as there were no chips for it. There were tortillas but salsa and tortillas don't go together, am I right? Who knows? I didn't touch neither. This restaurant also has burgers, steaks, and pasta which I haven't tried. I feel like wether you give this a 4 or 5 stars all come down to what you order. An incorrect order will automatically knock it down to 4 stars. It is such a cool restaurant though. I wish Tulsa has something similar.

Even though our server said the dishes were meant for sharing. One of the big drawbacks was the lack of clarity around spice levels. The menu didn't indicate if the dishes would be spicy, so I was in a bit of a surprise when I ate my steak tacos. For the elotes, they were very tangy and were very overpriced for what it is. We were ordering that to go with the tacos since they don't come with a side. And the elotes came out before for our tacos which we waited for because we didn't want to eat it on its own. So it was frustrating. We did enjoy the karaage-crispy and flavorful. The aioli was on the tangy side though. Cocktails were probably the highlight of the meal. Reasonably priced, generous portion compared to the food. Overall, while I appreciate the effort to bring some bold flavors to the table, I don't think we will be returning. It's definitely not worth the price.

Sometimes the service at new restaurants is challenging but not here. We received fantastic service from the moment we were greeted at the door. The menu is littered with unfamiliar terms and ingredients that you may want to Google beforehand. My husband and I did this before our visit and really had fun learning new names and techniques. It made our visit even better and we were very excited to try new dishes. We were a foursome and treated the menu more like a tapas, sharing bites among friends. This allowed us the opportunity to sample many more dishes than usual. We started with a simple chips and guacamole, which was clearly fresh and made in-house. Next time we'll definitely start with the salsa trio as it sounds equally delicious. Next we ordered the White Bean Purée. The addition of the short ribs makes this a dish not to overlook. We also had the Karaage which is a Japanese style fried chicken. It's not something I'd imagine seeing on a Latin restaurant menu but boy am I glad it is. You can't go wrong with it. You order sides for the table so we chose Elote (Mexican style corn) and Papas Verde (potatoes with verde sauce), as well as a Romaine salad. I didn't get a picture of the salad until it had been dished out so my apologies for the incomplete photo. My husband and I ordered tacos, the Suadero (brisket) for me and the Skirt Steak for him. Both were loaded with flavor but not spicy hot if that's your concern. Our friends ordered the Smoked Half Chicken to share between them. I had a taste and it was terrific, juicy and flavorful. In spite of the mountain of food we'd enjoyed, we couldn't resist dessert, two of them actually. The Banana Bread came with a peanut butter mousse and these delicious cookie and coconut crumbles. The bread was moist and delicious but that mousse was simply fantastic. I've never had anything like it and would buy it by the jar if I could. The Concha is another delightfully unique dish. They take strawberry ice cream, coat it with cornflakes and deep fry it. It turns out looking like a fried chicken breast. They use a Mexican style sweet bread for the buns and deliver it with a knife stuck into the "sandwich" as you'd expect with the real thing. I couldn't try it due to a food allergy but my three tablemates devoured it in short order. If you have a sweet tooth Vecina has the answer for that. I'm very impressed with the food and the wonderful service. It's a fun place and we can't wait to go back soon.

I have had the breakfast burrito and the Campion, and both are fantastic. The breakfast burrito has big chunks of potato in them that had some amazing flavor to them. The Campion was a veritable smorgasbord of options! Want some meat? Carne asada AND chorizo (in sausage link form!) both of which had excellent flavor! Want something a little sweet? The plantains have you covered! I had never had plantains before, but these were great! I am not sure how they were cooked (lightly fried?) but they were a little crispy on the outside and fantastically tender on the inside! The only downside (if you can call it that) is it can take a while to get the food after you order it. They did say that they make a lot of their food by hand, so it doesn't seem too surprising that it takes a little while longer to prepare. Other than that, I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who is looking for something a little beyond the "normal" breakfast choices we have in the OKC area!
