Last night we visited La Brasa for a birthday dinner, and it was SO good! This was actually my second time there, and my husband and I have absolutely loved it both times. We definitely have our favorites now: the Brussels sprouts, wings, half chicken, jalapeño mac, mashed potatoes... and OMG, the Club Special might seriously be the best I've ever had! And while we're at it... who do I need to talk to about getting that jalapeño mac delivered to my house on a regular basis?! I crave that stuff! This restaurant was named as a local place via Claude AI. While the inside is uniquely themed with fun and funky vibes, it was overly priced for mediocre food in my opinion. I had a Lychee Martini which was probably the only great tasting thing there. I then had the ceviche which was good. It was served with plantain chips and tortilla chips. Tuna was fresh and it had a nice little kick to it. The entree I ordered was underwhelming for $44; sea bass with brussel sprouts. The bass had barely any glaze/taste to it and the sprouts were hard. The only great tasting item was the mashed potato's. The restaurant was also very empty. It was a Wednesday night at 7pm. I made a reservation for nine people for the dinner plus show Friday night fever. In the reservation, I asked for a birthday sign which they normally do and said they could do in my reservation on open table. When we got there, we had a great table, but the sign wasn't on the table. I asked the server and he said he would get it. An hour and a half later, another server finally found a sign for us. Our server took our order and it would take 30 minutes plus to get a drink. We were all very patient because it was packed and I'm sure it was taking a while to make all the drinks at the bar. Our server must've had several tables because we didn't see him very often. We started ordering drinks two at a time because we wouldn't see him for 20 to 30 minutes. The entertainment consisted of two women dressed up like disco balls and another person dressed up in a disco ball suit. They would walk around and dance. It was cool, but I kind of thought from the advertisement that there would be more. At the end, we waited for like 15-20 minutes to get our check and finally asked another server to get it for us. He told our waiter. We got our check and we all had 23% gratuity automatically attached to it. I wasn't aware that it would be 23% and had we had an attentive waiter, that probably would've been OK. I love La Brasa's ambience, but I feel like for those events they need more bartenders and/or servers. Overall, I would probably go again because it really is a vibe, but be prepared to wait quite a while for your drink. read more

The ambiance is everything here!!! We came for Birthday dinner and loving all the pinks and feathers. Comfy lounge seating, the entire decor was girly chic loved it!!! It was packed house I definitely recommend reservations. There was bar seating available. Cocktails were so yummy and refreshing, didn't taste the liquor which is nice but was it strong? We had the wings and chips and guacamole appetizers and those wings were like an entree as well. Hmmm I had the lomo saltido for my entree which was a tad overcooked on the filet mignon but lots of crisp veggies large serving I didn't finish. The waiter started out great then disappeared for long periods. We were here for cocktails. Pretty soon table full of empty glasses, no water refill, no drinks, no return to see if food was good or needed anything. I pulled a manager and she did find him. He was polite and nice just maybe had too many tables.... 2 hours total from start to finish. Long wait for our check. I'm sure we would have had more cocktails but service was taking too long. This restaurant is very unique. I love the different areas with their own decorations. Chris and I shared the De La Brasa - Half Pollo a La Brasa, Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Peruvian Ribeye with sautéed mushrooms and cumin black beans and rice. The ribeye was phenomenal! It has great flavor and grilled perfectly to our liking. The sea bass was flavorful and the chicken was tender and delicious. Curan, our server, was excellent! Outstanding dinner at La Brasa. Interesting venue. I call it eclectic Jan, calls it bohemian. We were seated at a two top that was a little small for everything placed on it and the barrel chairs were not ideal as we were too low to the table. The next time we will request a different table arrangement, which they have pleanty to choose from. Our visit starts with a funny story. We ordered dinner drinks and our server asked for our Id's. I asked is that the restrauant rule to Id all patrons and she stated yes. I then in a light hearted manner asked, do you want to know what my rule is, and she said what? To never return to a restrauant that Id's old people. We all laughed, then I explained to her Odell's law that passed in 2024. She then said OK, we're good. Odell's story that led to HB 3571 is an interesting read, easily found on the web. We started with an old fashion and a club soda. The old fashion was blended to perfection. Jan really like the club soda. We ordered the salt pepper shrimp for an appetizer. It was excellent. For dinner I ordered the Asian wings from the appitizer menu. Jan ordered the chimichurri steak. My experience at La Brasa was okay. We went for a birthday and the service was good. Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. He did so well for serving a bunch of people at the same time! The food was mediocre for the price and the room we were put in could have looked better. For a "high end" establishment, the ambiance seemed cheap and underdeveloped. There's a reason their lights are always so dim. There is parking outside the building, but we got hassled by some homeless men on our way back to the car. The Queso and Guac (17$) was my favorite part. The queso was addicting, I ended up using it to spruce up my main meal. The truffle Mac and cheese (25$) was VERY heavy and the cherry tomatoes in it did not taste fresh. We added steak for an extra 12$ and it looked like they took random pieces and threw it on there. Messy presentation. Very light on the truffle flavor as well. I tasted the Parmesan more than the truffle. The Lomo Saltado (28$) had exactly 6 little pieces of steak and the rest of the dish was the potato medley and a whole scoop of rice. The steak was good flavor wise but I can't get over the fact that there was so little. Again, the cherry tomatoes were not good. I removed them. I got a side of the garlic mashed potatoes, which were fine. Overall this experience was not luxury nor worth the price. It was a fun experience I guess, but we will not be returning. read more

The decor and vibe of this place is fantastic, want to come back with a large group to get one of the many fashionable and luxurious party tables. The decor, the presentation, the staff, and food preparation provide an incredible offer based on the menu prices. It's not cheap but very much affordable especially for the quality coming out of the kitchen. Wife gave it a 9.5 and I'm at around a 9.0. I just went here for my birthday a few days ago and it was amazing! The serving sizes are worth what you pay for and the service is great. The ambience is eccentric as there's a lot of different decor types in different sections of the restaurant. Came here with a big group of 12 for a birthday and the vibes were great. The restaurant is super pretty, and they gave us our own area which was awesome. They were also cool with me bringing in a cake and even gave us plates for it, no extra charge. Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. The beef in the carne y pollo was perfect, but the chicken was super dry and bland. Mashed potatoes were great though. Asian wings were good but not spicy at all. Our table had a few pasta dishes and they were all under-salted, but asking for salt fixed it. However, my friends got the 'De La Brasa' Which is a coveted two person meal ringing in at $90.. it comes out on a giant platter and has the same greasy sliver of steak I ordered, half a chicken and the star of the menu, the Chilean sea bass. The service is always fantastic and tonight was no different. I wish I could remember her name but I can't find the receipt. It's something like Fran but longer. I just want management to know that she is fantastic and I really appreciate her help in guiding our guests through the menu. My only complaint with the restaurant is that volume of the music. Unfortunately we have stopped coming with our hearing impaired friends because it's just too loud for conversation. I was surprised when my 40 something guests and the two grandchildren also mentioned that the music was loud. We had a 5pm reservation so the restaurant was empty for all practical purposes. We started with an appetizer of Machu Picchu Nachos. They are a fantastic shareable and could easily be a meal for one. Because we had a table of six the Family Style Pollo a La Brasa y China which comes with three large sides. We also decided to add a half order of Pollo a La Brasa which comes with two sides. With five sides to choose from we couldn't go wrong. We selected the Sautéed Mushrooms, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Fried Plantains, Latin Smoked Corn and Broccolini. My favorite is the corn and I'd recommend it without reservation. The plantains were delicious but they aren't for everyone. The chicken is juicy, tender and flavorful. If you've never had this style of chicken you are missing out and should go sooner than later. They say that it's marinated 24-36 hours before being spit-roasted and the extra effort shines brightly. The chicken is delivered with two wonderful sauces but you don't need them and I don't want to cover up the delicious flavor of the chicken. The platter alone would've fed our table of six but I'm glad we added the extra half order of Pollo La Brasa. Our table included our teenage grandson and anyone who's raised a boy knows that they have a bottomless stomach. In spite of the loud music I highly recommend La Brasa, especially if you've never tried this type of food. read more

We have never had a bad experience in our last 5 visits. Not sure what was up, but took 1 hour to get drinks- and that was after we pulled in the manager to make it happen. ONE HOUR! I chose the tacos from the appetizers menu since I wasn't very hungry and they were so full of flavor. I would definitely order them again. My Peach Bellini was also very delicious. There were 13 people in our party, so the service was slower than normal, but our waitress was very patient and was helpful the entire night. I told our server and he just came back with a second 2 oz steak for me. That's fine but like it really should be the actual 4 oz. The filet was good and the chicken was okay.
