Was in from out of town, this was one of the only places open after 2:00 on Sunday. We were seated right away. There was lots of seating inside, booths and tables were available. The menu was very large with lots of choices. We received salsa and chips. A thick white queso was available for purchase. It was very good along with the salsa. We chose a double chicken fajita. We both received a set up of beans, rice, pico, sour cream, guacamole. Then out came a very large platter of fajita meat with onions, peppers, tomatoes. We each received three tortillas rolled up in foil. It was very good. A different kind of small cut up chicken than what I'm used to, but it was cooked very well and plenty of flavor. We would stop in and eat again if in the neighborhood. read more

Hungry while in Guthrie, Ok. I opened maps and located Senior Lopez Mexican food. The Menu is huge with multiple food options. Offering multiple kids meal options which all four kids enjoyed! Honestly, my food was mediocre, but worthy of eating. Senior Lopez has a large drink menu as well. Much more than Margarita's however they offer multiple tasty margarita flavors. The bar offers 3 marg sizes. Hunny, the medium is huge, darn good & perfectly strong! The Service was great, the entire staff friendly and a great Mexican restaurant environment. read more

We've eaten here many times and it's very mediocre. We've found a rubber band in our food. Today we came in and they sat us at a table that was dripping water. It was dripping directly on my plate which is gross. We waited 45 mins for food and only got one refill. Then we waited another 40 mins for them to bring out a box for our food. All around very bad experience. I posted a picture of the water dripping on the table. read more

Food is average texmex, some food is better than others. Chips and salsa come with every meal, queso is good but at a cost but two sizes. Service is good but a little abrupt. Ambiance is great, booths are comfortable and semi-private read more

Have been eating there since I move here in 2022. I was always great and good service. I recently went there and it has changed a lot. Service was slower, salsa tasted like canned diced tomatos.. Tacos were not as good as usual, no lime served with them, and when I asked for more salsa the waitress went to the kitchen and I waited a good amount of time before some lady came out of the kitchen and asked me what it was I wanted. No where near as it was even six months ago. read more

Great service while traveling through the area, the portions were very large and the price for 3 full meals and 3 large aguas frescas was ridiculously low. Around 50 bucks read more

My family really enjoys eating at this restaraunt, very good food and a nice atmosphere

Thought we'd give this one more try. Food was flavorless! Chicken had no flavor, Beans had no flavor and my chicken tortilla soup was watered down. White queso was the only thing that was good. read more

I've only ever eaten here via DoorDash but out of the places on DoorDash this is definitely one of the best. The Burrito California is huge! Me and my mom split it and still had enough for both of us to have seconds. I wish it had shredded chicken but it comes packed with everything! Top it with salsa and it's a party! The large chips and salsa is like a huge 32oz cup vs a small salsa just being a little container maybe 4 oz or so. The regular order of queso and guac come in a smaller 4 oz container also. I wasn't a huge fan of the guac but once you add salt and pepper it's a little better. We also had the fajita nachos my mom wasn't a fan but I loved my nachos deluxe. I wish it was more evenly split between toppings to chips and meat ratio but it was a ton of chips and chicken so definitely order extra queso if you get this. I definitely like the chicken more than the beef but so if it has chicken I'd go for it. The beef is kind of bland. I'd check it out though like I said out of the guthrie DoorDash for options it's one of the best. read more

Chicken tacos and beef tacos. Arrived with hard shell inedible tacos super soggy. It was not good. Corn is standard for Mexican. Also, no onions and cilantro like a true Mexican taco. These people must be from Guthrie. It was absolutely terrible and ruined my dinner. The dip is good. read more

Was in the area and decided to check out Señor Lopez for lunch. We were seated quickly and brought chips and salsa. Salsa was a smooth red salsa with just a bit of heat to it. I personally would like it a bit spicier but overall this was an impressive salsa for a restaurant. Serve was attentive to our needs and checked on us regularly. I ordered the chili Colorado with cheese sauce and double rice. The meat and cheese combination was AWESOME and the serving was huge. I filled three small tortillas with the meat/cheese combo and rice and still had over half my meal left. I ended up taking it home to eat later. Restaurant is clean inside with standard decor for a Mexican restaurant. Prices are more than fair especially with the size of the serving. Their website offer coupons for free cheese dip or for $5 off your bill so I recommend checking it out prior to going! read more

The chips were hard and just were in pieces. There weren't very many whole chips. my seafood chimichanga was soggy. I ordered a frozen piña colada. When I got it, it wasn't frozen at all. when I asked about that, they told me it was frozen. They didn't even offer to remake it. Will not be returning. Service was mediocre. read more

For a while there we thought Senor Lopez might've lost its magic due to so many staff changes and the resulting waning quality of service over the last 1.5 years or so. We're glad to see that things have gone full circle and servers are once again friendly and on the ball! The food quality has stayed consistent and extremely reasonably priced for such great taste! The tasty chips, fresh salsa and de-licious cheese dip are our favorite things, the the main dishes are excellent as well. The chicken Chile relleno, wow, and the tacos Mexicanos (pork) is delectable. The pork is so tender, slight fatty and tasty and the plenteous cilantro and onions on top...I get it almost every visit. Thanks Senor Lopez! We do wish it wasn't so cold inside and that they'd change the table cleaner from the overly fragrant Fabuloso that we can taste in our food when it's sprayed nearby. read more

Food was great service was rough. We were there for a big event day on Guthrie. Seating was quick, but service went down after that. We had a hard time getting silverware, hard time getting drinks, hard time getting refills... There was an obvious language barrier which made us wish my son in law was there to help! Once food arrived, we were very pleased with quality and portions. My enchiladas had this stringy cheese inside and the refried beans were very flavorful, not can bland. The chips were warm and plentiful. We would go back if in the area, but wouldn't make a drive for it so to speak. Clean, well decorated, easy parking. read more

Food & Drinks were great! Everything was fresh and the service was fast and efficient.

The salsa was decent. The service was fast. I don't have anything else good to say about this place.

The value factor here is ridiculous. You get heaping, monstrous portions for significantly cheaper than any of the competition in OKC or Edmond, which is enough to secure my loyalty. The first time I came here, I ordered some ridiculous fajita plate that had like 5 different types of meat (steak, shrimp, chicken, chorizo, and a RANDOM ASS PORK CHOP on top), and the plate was only like $13. It also had the sides, toppings, and tortillas. This is all in addition to the standard free chips and salsa. That's INSANE. The entire thing was super cheap and I had a huge amount of leftovers. The food quality is exactly what you'd expect. It doesn't set itself apart in any way, but handles everything well. If you go in with reasonable expectations and consider the price point, I honestly don't see how you can be disappointed, barring extreme circumstances. read more

If you want the wrong order and be charged to much money this your place. The manager was unwilling to help after 2 phone calls.

I just wanted a bite of lunch they were very busy I understand they stuck me at the bar next to the kitchen still ok, then took 15 minutes to get me a glass of ice water then another 10 to get chips. The food must be out of this world after almost 30 and no menu I had to leave. read more

While the service was softer than 5 star, I am 100% in support of this Mexican restaurant. From the lively and casual atmosphere to the delicious appetizers or the overall cost of two adult meals, we are pleased and full and absolutely going to return! Great sports venue -- full bar and lots of TVs. Delicious salsa -- regular is sweet tomato and spicy is habanero kick without flames. Delicious Queso -- thin and warm and flavorful. Very good pricing and ability to customize each dish. read more

Ok-- so for a local Mexican restaurant I can forgive the level of service received. It did take a while for any greeter / server to get to our table after being seated. The greeter dropped off chips and salsa, then we waited a while longer to order any drinks. To be fair the dining room was packed, but none of the servers seemed overwhelmed. The salsa was the worst part of this meal. It tasted of tinned (canned) tomatoes and had no flavor. Very disappointing for a Mexican restaurant in oklahoma. However, the rest of the meal was quite tasty. The queso was amazing and definitely worth ordering. I had the fajita chicken burrito with rice and beans. It was delicious! Had the service been better I would have given a higher score. I will try again and hope you will give them a shot if you are in Guthrie! read more

We decided to visit here Sunday night after a full day of traveling and then coming home to work on the garden. The place is super cute, well lit and decorated really nice. Our host sat us and we were greeted by our waiter right away. We were given a basket of complementary chips and salsa. The salsa had to be homemade. It had a great taste in there were big chunks of tomato inside! I ordered this amazing dish. It was a pineapple fajitas!!!! Who would've thought to add pineapple to a Mexican dish? It was absolutely delicious and added a great taste to the fajitas :-). The boyfriend liked his dish too and we decided we finally have a competitor for los vaqueros in mustang lol! read more

We eat here every week! The chicken fajitas are the best and comes in a big portion. Very reasonably priced too!

Listen the first time I came here I thought it was a new restaurant in town. And it wasn't probably gonna be super successful but I was gonna give it a try.And the first time I came here I didn't like it I'll be honest, but then the pandemic hit and it was one of the only places that I felt comfortable eating from.it was affordable and could bring home to the whole family and they honestly have changed my food taste. I'm so glad how far they have come from the first week with barley any customers and know it packed I'm so glad with the success In this place read more

Note: I'm Celiac and need gluten-free options and my reviews reflect that. If you are Celiac, you're likely taking a chance here because their knowledge of gluten allergies or intolerance is not as good. The manager came out and tried to help but didn't seem terribly knowledgeable. To their credit, so far I'm fine a few hours after eating here and they did accommodate my requests to warm the corn tortillas on a separate surface. We started with frozen margaritas and wow, they are big! We thought they might not have much alcohol, but a few of us had a pretty good buzz after one drink so be careful if driving. We also started with the white Queso which got great reviews from the family. The food overall was solid and we felt it was pretty good. The price is very reasonable as there were 6 of us and with drinks we spent ~$100. They said their enchiladas were safe for gluten-free but ended up going with the top shelf enchiladas that were ribeye. Some of the pieces were a little too charred but not bad. Most of the family finished with Sopaipillas, and they got just ok reviews overall. They were alright for a free sopaipilla. We'll probably be back since this is in between Stillwater and OKC for a family get together. read more

This place is Guthrie's version of what we affectionately call "trashy Mexican food." Word to the wise: the XL margarita is not a job for one individual. It requires 2 drinkers at minimum! A small fish tank might be jealous of the XL margarita glass....just sayin. Greasy, cheap, fast, and delicious with ginormous portions is the name of the game here. The cold white dip is my jam and I would eat only that if I didn't also love the chorizo street tacos. We always leave with 2 or 3 meals worth of leftovers per person and enjoy every bite. The larger tables (4+) are packed in pretty tightly, but the 4 tops are reasonably comfortable. We consistently encounter a language barrier with serving staff, and the draft beer ends up being mildly cool (the glass is chilled but the keg clearly isn't), thus the minus one star. read more

This is by far the best Mexican Restaurant in Guthrie. Fantastic food, great chips and salsa, drinks are cheap but really good, and the queso is amazing. My go to is the enchiladas ranchero which is three cheese enchiladas topped with pork, grilled peppers and onions, and red sauce. Makes amazing leftovers, and I always look forward to them. The Chile Relleno is one of the better ones I have had. It's very tender and full of flavor. My wife's favorite is the Pollo Con Queso. The drinks are very cheap for what you get. I typically get a Michelada, but their margarita's are also great. I would be careful of the size that you get though as a large is VERY big, and they have even a bigger size in the monster. The only reason this is a 4 star instead of a 5 star is that they servers can sometimes be a little hard to understand and has lead a few times to miscommunication on what we actually wanted. Not a huge deal, and they are quick to fix it, but can be slightly frustrating. They make the food very quick and even if it's super busy, they should have you in in no time! read more

Save your money and do not go eat here. They are only busy because it is the only place in town. The chicken was hard as the cast iron skillet it was served on. The tortillas are not fresh they are frozen and heated up. I can tell you the only stuff that was good was the stuff they didn't cook. I am sorry but the food was real bad. read more

I paid 45 for 2 sandwiches with honestly probably about 1pm e of meet . 4-5 little pieces. It was all bread. I asked for rice I got all beans. Usually a torta is 6-8 bucks. Great prices but super rushed and it showed because our food came out in less then 10 mins.
