Let me start off by saying I'm an absolute devotee of Mexican cuisine. I've traveled all through Mexico and can't seem to pass by a Latino restaurant here in the states. I stopped at Mariachi for lunch while my wife enjoyed a casino in Perry. The food left me desperate to make a return visit ASAP. I can't vouch for the salsa, I didn't try it. But instead asked if they had a hotter salsa. It was remarkable! Very well balanced with spices, not just made by adding chiles de arbol to a house salsa. I could taste the individual flavors layered within the salsa and while it was spicy it wasn't painfully so. Now, on to the best part: Jacque Pepin said the best way to test a French chefs skills was to ask for an omelet- a simple dish very challenging to deliver flawlessly. I think the same is true in Mexican cuisine- order enchiladas and if they are seasoned, filled and sauced to perfection you can trust about anything on the menu. Mariachi's enchiladas picosas (spicy enchiladas) are a perfect example. Filled with slow roasted & shredded chuck roast, flawlessly seasoned and then topped with a memorable spicy red sauce that, while hotter than my wife likes, was absolute perfection. Served with rice and beans, it was a delightful meal. Service was good, decor as expected of a small Mexican restaurant in a small Oklahoma town, and the food.....you will be impressed! read more

What a great find! The front desk at our hotel recommended them and we were exceptionally well surprised! Awesome frozen margarita! I had the burritos deluxe in salsa verde sauce and my wife had a chile relleno platter also in chile verde. Both far exceeded expectations. Prices were below average which was another plus. The ambiance was typical of a small family run restaurant, but very comfortable. The wait staff was flawless. If you are in or driving through Perry, give Mariachi's a try. Crispy fresh chips with a good size bowl of salsa. Both El Yucatán green (very hot) and Tapatio (very good) hot sauces on table. I ordered lunch chicken fajitas. The fajitas came out with onions and peppers in a tomato sauce plus a plate with beans, rice, guacamole, shredded lettuce and sour cream plus pico. Great lunch portions. Highly recommend. read more

I cannot say enough about the AMAZING & quick service here! My husband works in Wellington and we meet up every week for dinner. We have been here twice now & I will say the service is quicker than anywhere we've been! Minimal wait if any at all for a table, chips & salsa before you can get comfy in the booth and super quick on food coming out. Our preference is to stay away from the large chain restaurants and try to find the smaller top quality restaurants. This is one! The restaurant is very easy to access off I-35 at the Perry exit. The picture of the Molcajate alone convinced me to give the Mariachi Mexican Grill a try. We had that (the Molcajate) and the Mariachi Special. Both meals were absolutely wonderful! The seasoning and flavors were perfect. Go to the back page of their menu and chose from their Mariachi Specials list. The Molcajate comes with a mild grilled pepper, so be sure to order a chili toreado to go with the meal. Chips and salsa is included in the meal. Ask for the hotter salsa and the pico de gallo. The pico de gallo was different than any I have ever had. Instead of tomatoes it was mixed with brown sauce. I am not sure if it was adobo or a mole, but it went very well with the chips and other salsa. The very friendly wait staff said that their Pollo Hawaiano was another of their best-selling specialty dishes. Some of the very best Mexican food we had ever eaten. We passed the restaurant twice trying to find it. The outside was so bland we just didnt see it. Once we ordered... The salsa:bland Cheese dip: watery and bland. Fajitas: take a guess. My brother is considering OSU so my family and I stayed in Perry for a few days so we could tour the campus and attend a football game. By Saturday we were all sick of fast food so we decided to check out this place. I'm so glad we did! I had the seafood quesadilla which was absolutely amazing! Very flavorful! OMG! Soooooo goooood!!!! We stopped here on a trip from Kansas to Texas basically because we didn't see much else in Perry. This place is amazing! They have the best salsa I've ever had! I mixed the medium hot with the standard. You have to ask for the hot and the hottest. All three are good, but have water handy if you dig into the hottest. Service is friendly and fast.
