I see why this place has the highest rating for Mexican food in Stillwater. Their spicy Serrano salsa is the bomb We only get the lunch portion and still get a lot of food. Surprise they didn't offer sopapilla at the end. Still we ate very happy with what we had and will definitely come back again read more

Stopped in here for a late lunch. I've been here before and the food is always good. Today I ordered the steak chimichanga. Perfectly crisp with rice and beans. The meat was incredibly flavorful and juicy. Very good! Chips, salsa and cheese sauce are served when seated. read more

Tacos Los Primos was a great little find. It's a little hole in the wall, small but welcoming. This place is fast, reasonably priced and really good! We will go back. read more

Mexican food isn't something that is usually first on my list of cuisines that I choose. Yes yes I know. It just isn't. It's not that I hate it, it's just not something I jump up and say let's eat it. That's just how I am. Mainly because I have yet to find an authentic Mexican restaurant or what I feel is one. Well this one does. All the employees are super friendly and welcome you into the restaurant with a big smile on their faces. I always look for that as a first. No one likes a miserable server. Next the menu is massive! I usually order the same things but trust me you won't be disappointed with what they have to offer. And everything that I've tried, that my kids and husband have tried all look delicious! I usually order the street tacos with the pork. It's moist with lots of flavor and not spicy. This momma cannot handle spice. LOL but the tacos are ordered per taco. Make sure you look at how you're ordering them otherwise you may end up with just 1 taco. My youngest son always gets their chicken quesadilla. And he loves it. It's huge! And he orders it with refried beans and rice. And yes he eats it all. They don't skimp on the chicken. My oldest who is 21 usually orders a burrito. He has ordered their fajitas. But loves their burritos. He says they don't skimp on any of the ingredients and loves it. And my husband has had their quesadillas, tacos and burritos. All great according to him. Usually if we have time - and want good Mexican food this is the place we go. Also they are lightning quick with your order. When we place our order, we've never waited more than 15 mins to get our food. Another note, I order a street taco with no cilantro (sorry I just don't like it) and the tacos came with it on it. No biggie, I just picked it off. The server apologized and brought over new ones made correctly! Now that is customer service. This restaurant is essentially the only place we will go for good authentic Mexican food. My mom who loves Mexican food - and doesn't live here but plans on visiting. I told her that this is the first place we'll be taking her. I know she'll love it. And I know you will too! read more

Love little family places like this! Service is fast and friendly, food is tasty and reasonably priced, restaurant is clean and lots of locals coming in. This is a great place to come for lunch or dinner when you're in town and not trying to break the bank or when you just want decent Mexican food. read more

CAUTION: This review is an unnecessarily long, meandering narrative, littered with valid observations, intermingled with, innuendos, accusations, and ambiguities, held together with a framework of poor grammar, unconventional sentence structure and incorrectly used punctuation. Properly described, it simply an inessential opinion. Tacos Los Primos is a 4-star typical Oklahoman Style Mexican restaurant ......that is all you need to know. Save your time ...Scroll on to something else. Or go get a beer from the refrigerator and here we go..... Oklahoma is a fly over/drive through state, with only Oklahoman! Mexican food! Sorry, that is a fact and that is just the way it is. Ok well. There are the large chain restaurants scattered in the large cities, for folks that don't like real Oklahoman Mexican food. Some outa staters have given this little restaurant, Tacos Los Primos, what I think, are unfair and harsh reviews. They say the food tastes like "Californian" Mexican food. I strongly disagree! And here is why... First of all, and most importantly, it's not like I don't have experience eating Mexican food. I have eaten at one other Mexican restaurant, many years ago. I think it was called "Casa Bonita." Oh, and one time I got a taco at "Jack in the Box!" But, have to say that I think the Mexican food at Tocos Los Primos, tastes like Delicious! Authentic! Oklahoman! Mexican food!! There is more than just the menu and the "yellow cheese vs white cheese" argument that make this a legitimate Oklahoman Mexican restaurant. Let's start with the restaurant's structure itself. A repurposed failed Pizza Hut building, worn from time, with bathroom doors branded from the greasy black hand prints of all the hard-working individuals that come here for lunch, to get a good meal at a fair price. The air conditioner may or may not be working. Other characteristics of a good Oklahoman Mexican restaurant. Food, drink, etc. Mexican bottled drinks are on display in an old store display cooler from the 80's. You wonder who else has eaten from your chip bowl today? Is the salsa recycled? I hope they take credit cards! But, back to the menu. Their menu is universal. What do I mean? Take one with you, put it in the glove box and at the next Oklahoman Mexican restaurant you dine at, take it in and use it. Other than the prices, I guarantee it will work. More proof Tacos Los Primos' is a straight up Oklahoman Mexican Restaurant. **************************** All this banter aside. This is a good Oklahoman Mexican Food restaurant. The service is fast and friendly. You feel welcomed. Seat yourself. Chips, good salsa and queso arrive promptly. Very good hotter salsa is available. The restaurant is staffed and conditioned to meet your needs if you are on a limited lunch hour. The air conditioner is working, the seating is comfortable and the chips and salsa are pristine. They have a great lunch menu. And they take credit cards. Food wise. My wife had the taco salad. Good to average, but the beef could have used a little more seasoning, typical of an Oklahoman Mexican restaurant. I went with #14 Pollo Jalisco. Two thin grilled chicken breasts, queso and a mound of chorizo, sides of refried beans, rice and a bonus of charro beans. I think the refried beans maybe were a mistake in the kitchen. Two servings of beans? But the refried were better than the charro beans. The Chorizo was the good, lots of flavor! My opinion...I would say this is the second best Oklahoman Mexican Food restaurant in Stillwater. I would have no problem recommending it to a friend. And back to the fly over/drive through statement. If you are on I-40 and are looking for authentic, left coast, Mexican food, pull into Loves Travel Stop or Pilot/Flying J. Grab a prepackaged El Monterey burrito and a can of Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso. That will hold you. And keep ooooon driving! We only have Oklahoman Mexican Food here. read more

Best Mex Restaurant in town if you're lookin and you come here you'll be findin!! Do yourself a favor and ask for the spicy salsa. Its delicious. read more

This place was quite refreshing for Stillwater's Mexican food scene. They have things on their menu that I haven't seen offered at other Mexican restaurants in town. I am not sure if it is family owned and operated but I felt the love that this staff put into their service and food. They were helpful and very kind. They had plastic screens put out between each table for COVID safety purposes which was a plus! The bathrooms were very clean and well kept. They had TV's mounted on the walls for watching sports. They also have a salsa bar with various options. Chips, salsa, and yellow cheese sauce is complimentary. You do not have to order it. Not sure what some of the other reviews are talking about. My food was delicious. I had carnitas gordita and the meat was juicy and tender. They packed it full of meat; there was no cheap portioning! The corn tortilla was flavorful and had a nice crunch to softness ratio. The price is also incredibly reasonable for how much food my husband and I got. We were both pleased with this business. I highly recommend! read more

Best Mexican place within a 100 mile radius (at least). Service is amazing and food is fabulous!!!!! Absolutely awesome!!!

I feel like maybe we missed out on so much here, because all of the reviews are so great. We wanted chips, salsa and queso, but did not order it. We thought chips would come with our meal. Our mistake for sure. We saw what looked like a salsa bar, but it was pushed over to the wall and had things piled on it. It didn't look like it was open. All of our choices were good. They were definitely authentic, but the flavor was missing. We were so disappointed. I'm still giving this four stars, because maybe all that went wrong was our fault. The language barrier, the distance because of COVID...communication was just totally lacking. We are going to try again, because the people seemed so nice and accommodating. Just be prepared to ask questions and order your chips. We were dumb. read more

Street tacos were straight fire!!!!! Big time place if you like street tacos, they were some of the best I have had in Oklahoma, I am also a snob when it comes to tacos being from Southern California. Go get these super fast! Like hurry up, go go!!! read more

I was in town for a conference at the university and decided to venture out into the community for lunch. I asked the waitress what was good and what I should order and she said she couldn't recommend anything because she doesn't eat here! I almost got up and left, but decided I would still give them a try. I ordered the lunch fajitas. First, the chips were cold and tasted stale. The queso was chunky, but the salsa was pretty good. They brought me my food, but no plate to build my fajitas! I had to wait several minutes before the waitress even noticed I was trying to get her attention. The chicken was over cooked and rubbery, but the peppers and onions were good. The portion size was excellent for the price, but the quality and service did not justify what I spent. I can't recommend this place. read more

We had my son's graduation party catered on May 7th. Their communication, and ordering process was wonderful. Ariana sit down with me and made sure that she had everything I wanted in my order written down. She worked with me on the price and gave us a great deal! They were prompt when delivering. There's a mix out about me paying with a card and I wasn't able to pay when they dropped it off. They were so sweet to tell us just to come in on Monday when they were open again and pay! Love that they are willing to work on an honor System like that and we were there first thing to pay our bill. Everyone loved the food, and he thought it was a lot of food for the price. Made one less thing I had to worry about for the party. It is my son's favorite and we will definitely be back! read more

Ok maybe I just have the taste for truly authentic Mexican food, but this was very Tex-Mex. If that's what your looking for then this is your place. We have a lack of decent Mexican restaurants here in Stillwater. Salsa was very bland, Chile verde same, and my son said the taquitos from Walmart deli were better than these Service was spotty, no refills and a little pricey for what you got. The overall cleanliness was lacking. read more

My family and I are new to Stillwater, OK. We are from Reno, NV and we thrilled to find Tacos Los Primos! The food is amazing, the service is top notch, and budget friendly aka inexpensive prices. This is a family run place that makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. They also have a drive thru but I would suggest dinning in. They have clever clear plastic between the tables to keep social distancing during this pandemic. read more

This place is great. I've had it twice so far, both inside and drive-through. Very authentic Mexican food. The people in there are nice and welcoming. They staff treat you really well, and are very nice. The atmosphere too is very cute. Give it a try if you haven't! read more

this is my 3rd or 4th time going here.... within the last MONTH. my boyfriend and i are obsessed with this restaurant, in between each table they have plastic barriers to keep safe. They food is phenomenal i would never ever order ceviche in stillwater oklahoma but after eating here a few times i knew it was going to be authentic and delicious. Not to mention they have the most amazing complimentary salsas and cheese dip. Every time I go I have to try something new. One of the best restaurants in stillwater. also, amazing prices, not over priced at all. I will be eating here once a week, trust me it's amazing. read more

I'm from California and missed the Mexican food desperately while living in Stillwater. Everything is tex-mex. Found Tacos Los Primos and oh my GOSH, hands down the best & most authentic Mexican food in town. I love their carnitas and chorizo street tacos. Also- free chips, salsa and queso before you order! Recommend to anyone who wants a change from the typical Tex-mex in stilly. read more

We've decided that this is the best Mexican food in town. The street tacos are so fresh and the condiments are perfect. My grandkids absolutely love the food and one got the beef tongue street taco and devoured it. The service is great and the frozen margaritas are outstanding. I'm from the west coast, I've grown up eating authentic mexican food. I can easily say Tacos Los Primos is as close to authentic as you can get out here. They serve a complimentary queso and salsa with their chips, the entire menu is priced extremely reasonably and their lunch/dinner specials are fantastic! Can't recommend this place enough it has the homemade family run authentic food you just don't get at TexMex places. All the meats are authentic and taste like they do at home. This place is amazing. I'm in love with the salsa. If I wasn't married....just kidding. But seriously! So good. Don't skip the chips and queso too. I mean you could drink the salsa with a straw but they may not invite you back. We had a mix of street tacos and gorditas - all were great. Chorizo was my favorite. read more

Tried the new taco place today. The street tacos are really good. We had the carne asada taco and the grilled chicken. My husband tried the chorizo one also. We also got the chips, salsa and quest which was really good. There is a very nice salsa bar. We will definitely be back. read more

Food was delicious and service was outstanding. The fajitas and grilled veggies were seasoned perfectly. I only wish they would have sliced the steak meat against the grain instead of with the grain so it would be more tender. The corn and flour tortillas are fresh and spot on. I recommend requesting the spicy salsa and then adding it to the free queso. Mmmm. Yummy! This is my new go to place when visiting Stillwater. read more

Highly recommend this taco joint - it's superior to others. Fast, convenient, and great prices!

We were excited to find Tacos Los Primos and were thrilled with the quality and taste of the meals on our first order. Tender, well seasoned meats, creamy and tasty queso blanco, nachos that are not soggy. I order the nachos ricos without green sauce/jalapenos every time, as I cannot tolerate any level of heat. However, in the ten times we have ordered and brought the food home, my nachos have been right exactly twice. One time, I opened the nachos up to see simply chips with chopped meat. Most often they leave the queso blanco off - the BEST part! And at least half the time, including tonight, they cover it in green sauce. We've tried supporting this local business, but cannot any longer. read more

This is a really good, authentic Mexican restaurant (not Tex-mex). We ordered 6 street tacos, a gordita, and chips and salsa/queso. We really enjoyed the food, and the prices were reasonable. They have a salsa bar with a great selection of salsas- I highly recommend the avocado salsa. The atmosphere is super casual and is a nice place to sit down for lunch or dinner. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Authentic street tacos at this new restaurant, close to Boomer Lake! We ordered carne asada street tacos, torta, and burrito. Hoping they will be successful and be able to add a few items to menu (horchata ) and maybe lower price a little. $2.25 for a 3 bite street taco is a little high (compared to $1 for the same thing in Liberal, KS), but totally understand the need to charge more right now. Looking forward to trying some other items! read more

Awesome awesome food!! Super affordable, homey atmosphere, free chips, queso, and salsa with free refills! Really sweet staff.

Heard great things from a friend and finally tried it out. The food was decent but over priced for what we got. Over $20 for two drinks and two quesadillas. Had to buy chips and salsa if we wanted them. Since the restaurant is new, maybe try again in a few months when they get on their feet and can serve chips/salsa like other Mexican restaurants and cheapen their food prices. read more
