    Taco salad

I really hate to leave bad reviews but this was the worse dining experience I've had in several years. On Saturday, we brought 2 guests who'd flown out from Georgia to visit to see the salt plains and were lured by the Yelp rating. We were seated quickly enough, in the order of empty booths. Then things went downhill from there. We were eventually asked what we wanted to drink. One of our party asked for a Modelo. She didn't understand him so he went to the counter and got a beer. We were all given red glasses then those were all changed out for clear glasses even tho some wanted tea and some wanted water. After the order was taken from the booth in front of us, the waitress went around us to the booth behind us to take their order. Meanwhile we sat and sat. Finally I asked why we were skipped. Eventually it was explained that because our guest got a beer from waiter #3, that person had to take our order. Apparently that was the drive thru person, who never bothered to come to our table until I asked what was going on. Now let's switch to the food. The restaurant uses the word "artisanal". There is nothing artisanal about thickened pepper juice in squirt bottles. No tomatoes, no onions, just pepper juice with seeds. Eventually our food arrived. No sauce on the burrito. No cheese. It was the driest burrito I ever had. My friend's taco salad had very little lettuce. The quesadilla was acceptable and the pork on my husband's plate was dry. I have been to excellent Mexican restaurants with different kinds of salsa and to call this place "artisanal" is an embarrassment to all Mexican restaurants.

The price was great and we were able to get a good large meal for very cheap. All in all, the food is delicious, the employee was clean, helpful and friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

I'm not sure what I was expecting by going to a hot dog place, but since Coney Island is supposedly…read morea staple on the strip I figured maybe I'd be pleasantly surprised. Big mistake. The hot dogs came out barely warm and embarrassingly small. The chili was thin and watery, like it had been strained through a mop bucket, and the cheese tasted like it should have been thrown out days ago. For over ten bucks, I got two sad little hot dogs and a pile of mystery meat slop. You'd honestly get a better, more filling meal for a fraction of the price by grabbing whatever's been sitting on the rollers at a gas station. At least those have some substance. Service wasn't any better, just one guy watching videos on his phone until someone walked in, then tossing the order on the counter like he was doing me a favor. No effort, no care, no reason to ever come back. The only way Coney Island is worth it is if you're so drunk you can't taste a thing and your vision and judgment are so blurred you don't realize what you're spending. Ohhhh... now it makes sense why it's on the strip.

Jim's Jumbo Burger is this tiny spot on the corner and is take out only from a single window. It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Service was great and the two folks inside were so friendly!!! They showed me what Oklahoma is all about with their kindness in taking my order and getting it out quickly!!!! Cheers y'all!!!!

They easily beat all the chains in town but they blew the other local joints out of the water as well. It's been awhile since I'd eaten there and was so looking forward to it. But after nearly $20 for a double meat and cheese accompanied with an order of cheese tots and a soda, I wish I'd went to McDonalds. I'm joking I would never go to McDonald's. But now I can say I will never go back to Jim's Jumbo Burger. The burger lacked all the elements of greatness they once held. Virtually no flavor. No juiciness and It lacked actual substance. The tots were old tasting and stale. The cheese was none existent. The meal was not worth nearly $20. Do the math on trying to feed a family of four. A $100 bucks for dry, tasteless, old food is not worth it in any economy. The service was fine, even though the wait time was a bit much for no one else being there. And again it is nothing to look at. The vibe is 1979s retro ran down. It was once a great place with great food. Now I wouldn't waste my time.
