Decided to give a joint a try outside of TEXAS, this girl must say it had a few positive points. 1st, those fluffy light rolls are a must for any gluten loving individual! They boast a light buttery sweet flavor yet feel like a puff of light fluffy flavorful air when bite into it! They just need to ADD BUTTER to their menu, not margarine!! Apparently this place is fabulous for dinner, but I would highly recommend NO ONE eating breakfast here. Eggs are powdered (yes we were told that). Sent out invites, got back all our RSVPs. 3 days before the event, they call and say "our corporate called and we will no longer be open the day of your event. And since it's a non-refundable deposit we can't give back your deposit." So it's your fault we can't have our event on the day we reserved it for, and you're giving us 3 days notice, and offering nothing as any sort of recompense? "Yes, that's correct." If you don't love this BBQ, then something is wrong with you! Got dannnn this food is delicious. I ordered Uber eats two days in a row. They did forget my barbecue sauce on the first order, but the second time I called and made sure to ask for the barbecue sauce but by far the best barbecue, I think I've ever had. I got the two meat plate with chicken that was sliced chicken breast perfectly seasoned smoked taste amazing I didn't kind of sauce, it also came with the burnt ends. Just amazing spectacular. Upon entering the building, you feel like you're at an amusement park because you end up in this weird long line. But! It was still kinda funny and maybe this business gets a lot of people so that's why it has that area for a long line, I went on a not busy day. The service was good, I had a very friendly server and she was great! The sauces were good and the meat was good but a little tough? I am not a big fan of bbq so don't take my word for it but I would bring my friends here if they wanted bbq! The atmosphere was also nice, very spacious! It was weird though how when you order cobbler they give you a bowl with no cobbler and I wasn't sure what to do with it at first but I think it's just a place holder for when you do want cobbler. I placed a to go order here last night, and the food I was served was cold and seemed like it may have been leftover from the previous day. I don't have a huge problem with that, except that I woke up with diarrhea and vomiting a few hours later. I spoke with someone this morning who told me their grandson ate there a few weeks ago and had the same thing happen to him. I found myself in the not so little northern Oklahoma town of Enid for work and wandered into this joint for dinner. I am so glad I did... to the point that I ended up not being upset about being out of town and by myself on my birthday. Admittedly, I am particular about my bbq, especially ribs. I genuinely expected very little from this joint in regards to quality of the bbq but I was absolutely blown away by Swadley's... in a good way. The setting is very pleasant and the cleanliness is above most. The service is excellent (thank you Ariana!) and my glass was never below 1/2 full. The menu choices are vast but not overwhelming. The prices are surprisingly lower than most bbq joints in TX. The fresh cut fries and the sweet beans are enjoyable. They offer 4 bbq sauces so you can customize your flavor... but you may not even mess the sauce because the meat is excellent. The brisket is tender, has a nice smoke ring and a flavorful bark. The sausage isn't greasy or spicy so it is enjoyable too. The chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The ribs have the right amount of pull from the bone, bark, tenderness, and flavor. I usually drive thru and get a meal of pulled pork sandwiches and Fries 2/pack. The folks are always nice and the food is warm and tasty.

By far the best place in Enid to eat. I would only advise don't get chicken because if your from the south that's not how bbq chicken is suppose to come out or taste. All the staff is friendly and ensures you have all the dressings you need. read more

Stopped while in town for the NJCAA Baseball DII tournament. I had the brisket burnt ends and my colleague had the pulled pork. Both were very good. I had the fried okra and coleslaw...it was all good. The problem was the food wasn't a great temperature. The okra seemed fresh and crispy, but everything else seemed off...it also seemed a little pricey. Definitely the best place I've tried in the Enid area. This location offers such kind and well trained staff with service that smiles and makes you smile back. The staff made the experience genuinely fun and welcoming. The place itself had cute artwork and good music playing low enough to enjoy your conversation but loud enough as not to listen to your neighbor chew. The food was tender and moist all around with a great selection in their house sauces that each offer a different flavor for each meat. Excellent BBQ - PROBABLY THE BEST CHAIN IN OKLAHOMA. Best okra ever tasted - cooked perfectly. So what's the problem? The entrance is a maze that no single person in a wheelchair could negotiate. As with most of Oklahoma THE HANDICAPPED DOESN'T MATTER. At no point in changing this building from Western Sizzlin' to Swadley's was the needs of the handicapped ever considered. I hate it when a business self proclaims themselves "world famous". More so when they don't deliver. I'm from Texas and damn picky about my barbecue. I do a lot of my own smoking and cooking at home. With that being said I know for a fact they cook there briskets ahead of time and freeze them and only take out what they need based on customers. Prob with that is the end product becomes extremely dried out. The chicken was somewhat dry as well. The pulled pork had no seasoning to it and the only fresh barbecue on the plate was the rib. Seems they cook these fresh everyday. If your not a barbecue snob like me, this place would be ok for a family dinner. I had been coming to Enid for tourney for 3 days and finally had to try it. Go with the sampler platter. It was solid. Hot links and rib are the best part of it. I had spicy beans and okra sides. Pulled pork, spicy beans, roasted chicken, fried okra, creamy corn, chicken fried steak, Mac & cheese, rolls, Cole slaw, etc. The spicy sauce is just the right texture with the right amount of heat. Waited 25 minutes for a steak and two sides. Was given a 2x2 inch piece of chocolate cake as an apology for the wait. Steak was ordered as medium with two sides, received a burnt steak, it was literally burnt, and one of the sides was incorrect. All after waiting for 25 minutes. Contacted Gary Perry, was told to "give him a call" and he would make it right the next time I came through. I'm not going to "call in" and say, yeah I'm that person who called two weeks and complained, can I get a remake of the meal that was ordered? Wasn't happy with the service, food was something to a gas station would be ashamed to sell. Numerous cooks at this Enid location should probably be fired, as I've received burnt (yes literally burnt) from this location. I can understand why the tiny little 8 ounce steak took 25 minutes to cook.. it was being burnt to a crisp! Thanks for wasting 25 minutes of my time (time IS money), $20 of my hard earned money, a 10 mile drive to your restaurant, and an upset recipient of this meal who was 70 years old and couldn't even chew your gas station steak. read more

This was our first visit to Swadley's. We waited in line for 30 minutes due to being a new restaurant in ENID. We ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium. As well as baked potato, cream corn and salad bar. The steak was definitely not the tastiest. The meat had no taste and was tough to cut which is unusual for this cut. On the other hand their salad bar was delicious. The manager Curt brought us the other meats to taste and they were all tender and delicious. We will return to one more time to give them a second chance. read more

Great little place, let's start at the top. Staff super friendly and helpful, I couldn't ask for a better group. Environment workable, in the middle of OK it works and feels perfect, nothing forced. The food, brisket, sausage, sweet corn and okra The okra was perfect for me well cooked, great crunch maybe one minute less in the drier, sweet corn I will go back just for that. Sausage great taste and chew last the king meat. The brisket was ok not bad but a little too dry and I would have liked a little better smoke ring. But overall, I would go back and try the rib and bird. So in short, winner winner, this ain't no chicken but bbq dinner. And yes I will say it again, the staff was very attentive and helpful.
