Overdue review. Bemer, Benz, Bentley!! These people work on it all. Taken many of my higher end vehicles here for chrome delete, powder coating, fixing curb rash, brakes, scheduled maintenance, tires, tires,tires!!! This place gives you the best deal on tires period! Cheaper then discount tire. My recent visit took our Range Rover for brakes at 25k miles. Dealer quoted me $2600. No joke!!! $2600 for front and rear brakes with rotors. Deviate got me out for less then half of that with OEM parts same job as dealer including rotors. I call in advance to make sure of availability and spots. Scheduling in advance helps save time as they have appointments booked. Check them out for your luxury car needs.

They do repairs and basic maintenance,on all types of vehicles. They are super fast and provide the best job!!! These people are TRUSTED mechanics which is RARE to find these days. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied after you drive off, they will do whatever it takes to remedy the situation until you are pleased. This place is bad. Went there to get a car wrap. First they talk me out of what I wanted because the owner said it wouldn't look good. So I agreed to their so called design , big mistake, I thought they knew what they were talking about, so thats my fault. Then they changed it on me , again at the recommendation of the owner because it wouldn't look right if done the way they first suggested . So I ended up with round edges on a square car, which did not look good, which was the change they spoke of but didn't implement. To top it off the wrap lines were not the same one side of the car followed one line while the other side another. I also wanted my grill plasti dipped which was done so sloppy its sad, I did it my self and you would think that the one I did was done at the shop and theirs would be done by a first timer. On top of that the hood was not prepped correctly and had raised bumps on it, they also did what I can only call a hack and paste job around the hood emblem. when I called them the following day they asked me to stop by knowing it would be a two hour round trip for me. They said it would be redone, but told that I would have to wait three weeks because of work load and that I was squeezed in to begin with. This after I called and asked when they had time a week before taking in my car with no rush, to begin with. After a while of looking at it I was disgusted, and called back to ask if instead of replacing it, if they could just take it off because i hated it. I didn't ask for my money back. I was put on hold by Danny and the owner picked up the phone, I asked him the same and was told "your looking at it to hard", that it was put on their site and had gotten many complements on my car. In the end I ended up going some where else and paid them to remove the wrap and get what I wanted. The second place did a professional job and now looks great. No hack and paste job. Deviate was just a waste of time and money. read more

Deviate Autosport is a full service auto shop, specializing in bespoke customization. Started as DV8 Motorsport in 1997, our history is the history of the Houston car culture. In 2011, Deviate Autosport became the new face of custom works. With a passion for detail, and the constant pursuit of perfection, our works speak for themselves.

Meet the Business Owner: Aroldo S.

When doing anything custom, you want someone who is the definition of detail oriented, that person is Aroldo. He's worked in auto shops since 1997, first starting DV8 Motorsport in 1998 he's been a stable fixture of Houston's car scene ever since. Not one to merely follow trends, he's always made his own path, from building one of the first Sil180s in Texas to starting his own shop, and now to bringing show quality vehicles to customers who are careless about parking hard at the car show and more about valet parking at your favorite restaurant.

The next day, after I had the issues fixed, I brought my car back. Frank completed the alignment, test-drove it himself, and only then handed it back to me. His honesty, respect, and attention to detail really stood out. **Ladies if you're skeptical about bringing your vehicle into a shop, don't be. Frank is a true gentleman. He was not rough, rude, or dismissive in any way. Just like the sign in the shop says: "We do it right." Axis Auto Repair truly lived up to that promise, and I left more than impressed.

Right when you walk in, there is a sweet Korean Lady (the owner's mother) who greets you or the owner himself. The owner has great energy and is hilarious- always made me feel very welcomed. That being said, it you are hoping to not have a long wait time, I would try to come here during opening or lunch time during the weekdays. While you are waiting for your car to get fixed, if you get hungry/thirsty, there is a vending machine for beverages and mochi ice cream for you to purchase. This place has helped me with oil changes, state vehicle inspections, and my friend's AC issues. The friends who have visited here from my recommendation all had nothing but great things to say about this auto shop! Just an FYI, if you are paying with credit card, there is a 3% service charge but if you're paying with cash, that is waived. I decided to give them a shot after such an incredible experience getting my windows tinted at their other shop. I am car illiterate and they're super patient with me. They've caught and thoroughly explained improper past fixes and what kinds of issues I have. They are proactive in communication, are friendly, and the ability to get an uber ride to and from the shop on their dime is incredible. They've also given me a loaner to use when they've had my car for extended periods. My last shop (European Service Center ) felt like I was picking up a part time job just to get any communication and my car would sometimes be there days on end without getting worked on. I feel like E1 is super respectful of my time, cares about my business, is very professional, and keeps me informed without me asking- it's so refreshing and appreciated. They are not the cheapest but also not wildly expensive either; their pricing is on par with my last shop and things are actually done right. I recognize that things don't always go perfectly and care a lot about how a company reacts to makes things right. I had a slight issue with my struts repair after about 9 months after the fix and they stood behind their work no problem and fixed it promptly (they have a 3 year warranty on work done). I came here with my 98 Oldsmobile which has been through some rough situations hoping that an alignment was the solution to my issue. But with my limited knowledge of underbody and under the hood possible issues it turned out to not be the total case. I was approved for a little bit of credit through the finance company which helped with the cost of the repair. They were able to help me increase my funding which made my out of pocket within my immediate budget. Though more work will be needed but what was done though: tire rod replacement, new tires, and alignment made my car drive straight again and they worked with me as far as cost. I will be returning to get the rest of the work needed soon. The shop was very clean and the service done was as well. These guys do good work and regardless of the car you have they will get what you need done. read more

Great Place! I have been going to the shop for the last 6 years. They have done minor work and maintenance to my vehicle. Recently got some new tires and wheels, in the past I have done my oil change, fuel injection cleaner and wheel bearing replacement. My most memorable was when I hit a curb and my maxima at that time would not accelerate anymore beyond 20mph. The shop was able to diagnose and fix the problem. They have excellent communication skills and always kept me inform. I will continue to bring my cars to only Deviate Autosport. New location on Upland Dr is very nice and they have added collision repair and paint in house. All in one shop. They are also very creative with their vinyl wraps. Spur of the moment decision to call and see if the guys at Deviate could wrap my targa top in the time frame I had available. Was told it would be no problem and quoted an awesome price. I had my targa top of my Corvette wrapped and they were very competitive with their price. Plus the fact that they could get me in and taken care of the same day, sealed the deal. Dropped my top off and 3 hours later they had it ready for pick up and looking great. I will be back when I need any other vinyl work done in the future. I came to get a wheel alignment on my 2009 BMW 328XI and they were super helpful and informative. The wait wasn't bad and it took about 45 minutes to do the whole alignment. My car was missing a pin so they couldn't do the front camber adjustment but he gave me a quote on how much it'd cost to replace that pin. Overall the place and workers are really great and they got some great music playing! Definitely will be coming back here for future wheel alignments and to get other small stuff done to my car! read more

I don't usually write reviews but had to make an exception for this experience. 5 stars. Hands down. Had my car with a warranty since I had it and didn't have the need to go anywhere till now. These guys were better than the BMW dealership! From explaining step by step each detail of my brake job to squeezing me in as a walk in at 3PM and finishing at 6. Pretty unbelievable experience. Dropped by Deviate today on the recommendation of a friend. Met Aroldo who was very courteous. I explained a "mystery" noise that others had not yet figured out...he took one of his technicians and I for a drive. Once back to the shop and after a few minutes on the lift, they had found the problem. The were able to fix the problem, install some new front tires plus a 4 wheel alignment in just over two and half hours. Thanks for the prompt and fantastic service! read more

Started with an alignment and fixing my personal coilover job. They fixed it however it wasn't the height I wanted. The customer service was amazing and they fixed the height for free also adding spacers because I mentioned it earlier. Overall this was one of the fastest turnover times I've had from a shop and still wasn't overpriced. These guys are great. I had been shopping for custom wheels online for my Mustang for about a Year. I went into there shop and inquired about them. Even though they didn't carry that brand they were able to locate them locally, have them delivered to there shop the next day as well as give me a competitive price to purchasing online. Came to DV8 to get an all fit lip installed, and for a spoiler wrap/install on my Lexus. Spoke to Danny, and these guys are awesome! Affordable, 5 star customer service, and quality workmanship in a short period of time! I was referred to this place by a friend who got some cosmetic work done on his Lexus. I brought my Cayman to have the calipers painted. Owner and staff were extremely nice. Best of all they gave me a discount for being a first time customer. Apparently, they have been in the business for many years and were previously located on Highway 6.
